I was in bossti when it blew up after he just brought it. and at the time nath wasnt sure what route to go with it as he didnt know much about the EJ platform so i took it in to my own hands to round all the parts together and drop it off to scotty at ichiban and manage the build then i got locked up and didnt see the end process until now so good too see it back on the streets on ya nath reach out you know who it is lad. 👍🏼 Bossti 💪🏼

@@NoNo-yb7ds bro they are such a good option for the guy who gets his not built sti and blows it up if you take It to a shop to rebuild your getting back to OEM for 11k and 200kw and then you'll run it to the same issue put more boost in it and have stock ring gap and then when the ring gets hot and expands more and more because it's hotter getting more boost then the 2 ends hit and have no where to go except up and then you do a ring lan its going to happen to everyone with stock motor with just bolt ons so once that happens best option is buy a IAG and do your heads and they already got all their bolt ons so slap all that together depending on what stage IAG they go for youll be getting 400hp to 750hp for 15k to 30k I got this IAG magnum 900 ej20 for BOSSTI short block for 7k brother with some good deals thrown in for me from pro speed racing got everything we needed except the turbo ordered that from golbeys precision 6062 and the proces west intake then Scotty at ichiban threw it all together and happy days for Nathan... But straight out you would be stupid not to get a IAG short block if ever you Subaru blew up it's a no brainer at least then you know you can beat on it and you'll be sweet
They are beasts. I think they can hold around 850 before real issues start to occur, somebody correct me if I’m wrong. Now the Wrx 5speed in any generation is known to be made out of glass. Even close to 100 over stock power and you’ll see issues.
People run 900 horsepower with the stock STI transmission...700 is not really the limit..its a lot higher....that said this sti is running a much smaller turbo than that EVO
@@wyattjackson977wrx 5 speed doesn’t hold nearly as much hp. I’ve seen people run 400hp builds with their stock 5 speed, mainly depends how you treat your gearbox and how you launch and tunnel through gears
@@Crazy8ts Bader had a 1000+whp STI with stock transmission (not just once, I think he does it all the time / has had many cars, for years, doing that). He also got a stock long block STI to 1000whp. He just did bigger turbo, very high boost (60 pounds of boost), and supporting mods (like cooling). But it was a stock long block (EJ25 too, to make it even crazier). And he used it for an entire season of drag racing, then when he finished he inspected it and it was mint condition. He said it was all the tune, and he kind of hinted (in a subtle way - not wanting to give his secrets away) that it's all about tuning the torque so it's smooth / not aggressive, and comes on later in RPM etc, so basically down-tuning the torque, keeps reliability high, and you still have the high peak HP.
I am an Evo man myself, having owned an Evo 6 GSR back in the day. Respect to the Scooby but the air shift gear changes of the Evo are just too much for it to live with !
Im not a JDM person and i won't drive anything other than a V8, but if i have to chose i would go with the evo for performance. The WRX looks sick though.

A real race is from a dig either eighth or a quarter mile. After that, you can talk about roll racing. Like I sed my opinion but lifelong Petro head here from Texas, definitely about this life. We can really see what’s up with the rides. Yall wanna see some sick roll rancing look up Texas2k that’s in Houston. It’s been going on for a good while now and if you type that in you’ll see some shit for sure.

Drove an Evo with 525 WHP and it felt slow to me. The power hit so late and the power curve was so tight that it just didn't impress me... I took the EVO owner fkr a ride in my 07 STi back when it was around 425 WHP and it is such a smoother more linear delivery. They EVO guy was a total fan boy and they were screaming and high fiveing and I was just running my normal run on this twisty area I liked to run. The EVO guy couldn't believe the torque my car had compared to his. My 100 WHP less car was way faster than his car which goes to tell that numbers don't always tell the true tale. The EVO guy didn't feel comfortable to even drive my car because he felt it was too fast and said I drove his EVO better than him... but he was a kid at the time... maybe 22 and I was maybe 33... I am going to drop in an IAG 750 short block soon. Going for a simple 475 WHP. Don't think the 500 WHP would be too much of a difference. Stock head with the EJ 257 Block. I smoked a 2004 STi with 535 WHP but he said that it was the gearing and he could hear my shift points were better. I enjoy around 21 psi but dialed it back to 20 psi... I want to try around 24 psi and up. The IAG 750 should be fine and I only plan to run street gas 93 octane... no E85.

Not easy to do regular maintenance like plugs and valve cover gasket but taking out the engine is pretty simple
