The Brazilian aquamarines are just stunning!! I don’t personally care for the tiara itself (the anterior-most gemstone is too large for me), but the stones themselves are unlike any aquamarines I’ve ever seen before!
I did prefer this Suite as a necklace too but I still liked it as a tiara. I haven't recalled seeing it before to be honest which is such a shame as it's stunning. How tempting to have Brazil continue to offer even more Aquamarines to her! What I wouldn't give to have my meagre offerings as earrings, a ring plus an unset pear-shaped this colour.

The Queen wore a pretty diamond brooch when she opened Elizabeth Line. The brooch is a gift from my country Singapore. Nothing extravagant but the Queen must have like it a lot because she wore it at least 200 times before.
Are you talking about the round yellow gold one with the scrolling birds of paradise in diamonds that the government of Singapore gave to her for her 2012 jubilee? If so, that is one of my favorites. I really appreciate how balanced it is, it may have a large circumference but the design is so delicate that it is such a light and airy looking piece, not heavy at all for a large brooch, unlike the Queen's cockade brooch which is very very very heavy looking

Dear Andrew, where do I start? The footage you showed of her gracious HMTQ was a pleasure to behold. How refreshing to see footage that isn't constantly used yet film of her early days prior to and during her early reign. I adore the sentimentality of so many pieces and would have to list, if pressured, the Williamson Diamond Brooch as the most special. The colour of that Pink Diamond is jaw-dropping, as is the style of the brooch. I gather you would have thought that I'd choose the Opal Suite but I remained unbiased. Although, the size of this opal is incredible, as are the colours within it. I'm surprised that the State of South Australia could afford to give such a lavish gift way back then. I'd be overwhelmed with the No.9 Diamond and Pearl Earrings! This was such a joy to watch, especially the older footage. I do hope that you're getting a break at work and things have slowed down somewhat since vaccinations. I'm still on a very slow road to recovery which will take at least a few years. Hardly a joyful time for me but at least I've been able to drive myself to hospital for all the therapies I have to go through. Despite plenty of chores to undertake alone, I'm frustrated that I'm not able to undertake anything that's actually enjoyable. I heard somewhere that the last tsar's mother, Empress Marie, had some diamonds that she brought with her when she left Russia after the revolution. She lived in Denmark until her death in 1928. Then Queen Mary of England bought the diamonds from the empress' estate, and had them made into a tiara. Since Queen Mary was Queen Elizabeth's grandmother, I wonder if Queen Elizabeth still has that tiara.

I heard somewhere that the last tsar's mother, Empress Marie, had some diamonds that she brought with her when she left Russia after the revolution. She lived in Denmark until her death in 1928. Then Queen Mary of England bought the diamonds from the empress' estate, and had them made into a tiara. Since Queen Mary was Queen Elizabeth's grandmother, I wonder if Queen Elizabeth still has that tiara.

Absolutely LOVE the wedding tiera. It looks much better without the pearls. And the lovers knot is legendary & gorgeous. The aquamarine set is absolutely beautiful esp w the dress last pictured. But idk, just for me I couldn't alter such a wonderful, expensive, thoughtful gift. I wouldn't feel right. But a couple, esp the one which led to the loves knot was a beautiful improvement

Are you aware of the fact most of the jewels are actually stolen from India including the Kohinoor diamond, which is in her crown. How can one be so shameless by flaunting the stolen jewellery. Britain should return the Kohinoor diamond, which was stolen from India. Britain should also return the priceless artifacts which are displayed in London museum.
