- Food52 resident Melina Hammer stopped by to whip up a Butternut Squash Pasta-complete with brown butter, sage, and walnuts (sounds cozy, doesn’t it?). It all comes together in a large D3 All-Clad Fry Pan-perfect for tossing pasta and soaking up every bit of flavor. This video is made in partnership with All-Clad Cookware. This looks amazing! It's got some of my favorite things to eat--butternut squash, BROWN BUTTER (!), sage, pasta, cayenne, and nutmeg. I can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing. Fun, happy video from a lovely presenter.
Wow. This was fantastic. I made fresh pasta and spiced it up a bit but otherwise stayed to the recipe. It received rave reviews. Definitely make it again. Thank you!!!
all I need is fresh sage. drooling.
I am blown away by what I am imagining it smells like and tastes like. I just have to try this for myself. I love all the ingredients and will be making this for sure. Thank you.
I’m looking forward to making this , pasta with nuts , brown butter , and butternut Squash a few important herbs , yummy very clever you . Thanks
I made this and it was excellent thank you! My husband says he doesn't like sqash but he liked this!
try heavy cream, sour cream, dry curd cottage cheese &chives, pour hot browned butter over plated pasta & cream mixture.
Dinner tonight! Picking up some sage leaves 🍃 😌. Thanks abunch.
I think I’d use a much wider noodle than spaghetti since those squash slices are so wide. Like I’m thinking more a fettuccine or tagliatelle.
Bucatini would be a great choice too
Delicious! In just made this with home grown black walnuts, butternut squash, and sage. I didn't have enough black walnuts, so I added some almonds. Both nuts taste good, but the almonds were amazing!
This is one I’m gonna try. Thanks for the video and the excellent recipe.
Love my All clad and this is a fantastic recipe!
Bon appétit!
This looks great, can’t wait to try!
I have bad memories of all pumpkin/squash and sweet potato after being made to eat it as a child. I have been able to avoid this for 50 years because here in Australia it can mostly be found as an accompaniment to a roast or as a soup. I think I am ready to try this now. The recipe looks delicious.
Yummy! I can’t wait to make this.
I would never make that recipe but I did enjoy watching you use the pan.
That looks so good! I'm going to make it exactly the way you made it and then, if I feel confident, try it with kabocha squash. I love that squash and it seems like it would delicious in that dish. Thank you!
@Baspio Torell I know that with every fiber of my being and it is well with my soul.
Delicious recipe 😁
Texture bomb 💣!! Sounds so warm & cozy for a date night. ☺️
When she said "Umpff" my heart skipped a beat ♥️.
Absolutely great! I'm gonna try this definitely! 😊
I can imagine what that stove is gonna look like after a few meals with the pan scraping it.
Glass is way harder than stainless steel. I use induction cooktops, and they do not scratch easily. I can shake my pans and not even a slight scratch.
That's what I was thinking.
Loooove this recipe!
If I actually owned an All-Clad pan, I would burn my fingers before I tossed/flipped with metal tongs on that thing. Every *scrape* killed me.
What's a good fresh herb to sub for sage in this dish? I am unfortunately allergic to sage.
Basil is sweet smelling and could work. I would fry it by itself until crisped and translucent. Do not mix in as it will shatter. Sprinkle the fried basil leaves on top when plating.
So does Melina have an affiliation with All Clad? as soon as i saw her i was like its the woman who mentions then pans name every other sentence 😂. I'd never thought to pan fry butternut squash, this is a game changer
she also listed her long credentials, as if we should all know it.
the video was sponsored by All clad so they have to say it.
@@tara_nguyen Thank goodness somebody mentioned this. I liked the dish and she was good showing and telling how to make it but god the long CV upfront and mentioning the pan every 30 seconds was so cringey.
so good
WOW... This would be a ~$23.00 dish at my local eatery because of the inflation now. I don’t want to afford it. Thank you for teaching us how to make it!
What kind of induction cooktop do you use/prefer?
if you cant eat Walnuts, what can I use insted?
Alrighty 🎉🎉 🤪👑😘
how big is this pan?
Hi Pomegranate seeds would be a nice touch here good fresh flavor and looks good also I think you need some lemon zest or something to cut the fat
Yes, I'm here for the food but does anyone know those earrings?
Just a little bit less burnt and it's perfecto
No cheese?!
Too fussy with the butternut squash prep. Roast it on a sheet tray while prep for the other ingredients!
yes thank you! picking them up one by one 🤧 my goodness
The product placement in this was so disingenuous and weirdly jarring.
Looks good without all that butter though, instead i would use a bit of live oil
Boneappletea!
9:15 YOU BURNT THE BUTTER OWN UP TO IT and restart
Needs chicken livers.
oh that sounds like a great addition!
This looks DELISH! Except. . .all of those rings. Unsanitary. Great creation!
I am so glad someone else noticed this, giving me as a restaurant cook health violation anxiety.
Her finger is awfully close to her pan when she turns the heat down on things like the brown butter. makes me want to never have to use this stovetop
An entire stick of butter ??? That is not OK...
untypical BUT ALSO unwanted product placement! Do you really think the sponsors rely on people going out and buying a frying pan based on this video? IF NOT, don''t excessively promote their products! If NOT, DON''T promote the products, it will only incentipize people not to buy them! NET results, you LOSE! *end of rant and back to skipping commercials! :-)*
No one cares
@@GatorAidMedical I do?
@@janvanderwegen01 well you should really try caring less because you sound unhinged
@@krammy9goggler pot - kettle?! the amount of cognitive energy you are putting in this makes me doubt your sanity, but anyhow, enjoy your life
I care about the word "incentipize."
My least favorite chef on this channel. She sounds so depressed.
8:47 You call that "al dente"? I haven't seen a spaghetto that lively (right most side of the pasta in the tongs) since The Great Pasta Overcooking Disaster of 1973! Go back and not only read the definition of "al dente," but also watch what they call "al dente" throughout Italy. MUCH stiffer, and for good reason.
9:55 3I don't use the tweezers...goes on to using the tweezers anyway?! Really, does nobody scrutinize these video's? Guess not.... imagine what channel I will be cooking from??!! Not this one, you lost me by your own content, congrats (not!)
