Made it for dinner tonight and this HITS SO HARD DUDE. I left my chickpeas in the oven for 35 mins instead of 25 and they’re so crunchy and delish!!! Highly recommend this recipe!
Made it tonight, it was amazing! We had it with purple rice and Chinese broccoli, but I want to make it again on a sandwich! Mash the chickpeas a little so they don't roll and add a coleslaw w/scallions (rice wine vinegar dressing, probably not mayo).
We eat a lot of rice based meals, so I'm always on the lookout for another great dish to eat with our rice. I made a very simple 'veggie rice' in the rice cooker of sautéed veggies (any veggies work for this) & rice, then pop it all in the rice cooker. I think these chickpeas would go so well with the simple veggie rice for an amazingly quick but nourishing meal. Thanks for sharing with us!
I made this for dinner tonight and had it with rice, roasted cauliflower and diced cucumber. It was so good! Will definitely make again for a quick and satisfying meal!
I made this tonight and added crispy tofu (I doubled the sauce) and made grilled bok choy as my side. Super yummy! I will be trying this recipe with green beans, or use the sauce for carrots. Thanks for the yumminess!!
I am grateful for another recipe that I can make and still follow the dietary restrictions the doctor gave me. This looks delicious and I can't wait to try it.
Was about to comment "This is genius!" and then remembered that's the name of the show haha. But this looks great, and I loved the interview segments with Eric!
I don’t eat honey so what do you think would be a good substitute? Agave, Maple, Date syrup? Caramelize some sugar? I want to make this, but I don’t want to radically alter the flavor.
Wonderful recipe! So simple yet packed with a whole array of flavours and textures :) I’m definitely going to trying it with chickpeas but I predict it will be delicious on crispy tofu, too. Or on ribs… 😋 Another great video! Thank you!
Looks delicious, quick, and easy and it only uses ingredients that I usually have in my pantry. Definitely remembering this one for a quick weeknight dinner.
I know typically in Korean cooking you can use rice syrup if you don't have honey. I think there's another one I've seen often but I can't remember. Hope that's helpful tho.
Made it because it looked so amazing. And here’s the thing: it’s easy to make. it’s convenient to make. it’s fast to make. but in fried chicken there’s some fat from the fried chicken, and the meat is juicy. The chickpeas don’t do this and it makes it feel more like a support from something dry/bready for a jammy thing. Appreciate the idea, but won’t be making it again
You can find a link to the full recipe in the video description. I think you’re referring to gochujang, a Korean chili paste. It’s delicious and pretty easy to find in most supermarkets now.

What a fabulous lenten option, can’t wait to try this!
This sounds so awesome!!

Thanks a bunch! We made this today and it was delicious. And so easy. You're right, can imagine the sauce going with pretty much everything.

Excited to get into korean food as a vegetarian and this is the perfect opportunity!!

How long will the chickpeas, once cooked and dressed keep on the counter or in the refrigerator?
Loved watching this video 😊

I would definitely put this sauce on sweet potato.
This looks so delicious
Omg that’s my favorite gochujang from Volcano Kimchi!! 😍 Their gochujang is truly the best I’ve ever had!

Eric is so cute
Do you have a sub for the strawberry jam?
You could probably do another fruit jam, or like, apple juice concentrate or unsweetened applesauce?
Came for the recipe.
Stayed for the lighting.
You should check out some videos of where the chicken comes from.
KFC is always finger licking good 😉
Can you name some syrups to use instead of Honey, please.

Agave syrup or corn syrup work as well

Gonna try that on some crispy tofu...
Great
It needs to be on tofu
Tofu!

Can you spell the name of the sauce after the strawberry jam.

@@readyplayer2 Thanks so much! We’re looking forward to trying it 😁

What would be a good replacement for the ketchup? My family doesn’t believe in ketchup unfortunately since it’s so processed and artificial.
cauliflower would be the best substitute for chicken in this korean recipe.
How is this chicken?
Too much talking 😊
it's weird seeing how badly edited and awkward this feels to a bon apetit or vice video.
It's so amateurish, makes it hard to see what's going on
But I could use chicken as well, if I wanted to. Don’t care much for that chef, not very entertaining
