YES, it's a thing, as Carla demonstrates here. A bunch of years ago, I did something similar, but not with the sauce, put the lemon and pepper INTO the pasta while I made it. It was good, need to do it again and get my pasta making mojo going again.
Ok, I am not just italian, but I’m from the region Emilia Romagna, where fresh pasta with parm is almost a religion😂 and I have to say you are the only one I can really watch with pleasure because you know what you’re doing and you do it well. I could easily replicate this recipe as it is without a change❤
I went to Italy in 2015 and had pasta at a little hole in the wall place outside of St. Peter’s and took a picture of this dish and for 8yrs I’ve been looking for the pasta used. I’ve watched so many pasta videos of types and their regions and never found it…. 8yrs it took to find out it was PICI! Thank you for this!
The fact that you walk in the front door of Carla's house and immediately hit the kitchen is something that would freak me out but I respect this energy

What I love is that life continues on even when she's taping the show as Cosmo's older brother arrives and has to walk in front of the camera, then later we see Mister Music's back in jacket as he heads into the front of the house, the dog and the cat etc, all commingle in and out of the kitchen. This looks good. A bunch of years back when I was into making pasta, I did a lemon/pepper pasta but not the sauce, I may just have to try this, even if I do store bought pasta to start with. I can see it with Pancetta or Prosciutto or something like that to add to the sauce, with a veggie on the side for a complete meal.
This was such a sweet, hilarious video. Though, my heart was racing as Cosmo was rolling out the pasta as Carla was moving the pizza cutter towards his fingers, eeeeeee!
