Sgt. Slaughter was part of the most elite group in the history of the American military. G.I JOE. I had to send away to get his top secret action figure. You couldn't just buy it in the stores back in the 80's.
I thought that was Refrigerator Perry?
He wore steel toe cap army boots! No man who ever set foot in Vietnam would wear army boots.. IT RAINS A LOT!
Perry needs to be a regular on the show. Thanks for your service, brother! Thanks for being part of why WCW was so awesome!
There's something about Perry Saturn that makes his extremely likeable. Loving the clips of his interview.
Perry Saturn is a champion inside and outside of the ring
awwwwwww
Saturn married a friend of mines aunt. When he lived here he told more stories about this than wrestling. Hes always been a good dude, glad he beat the demons.
is this the lady he met after all his troubles, and is currently married to her?
@JobsJ87 yeah it was after he got sober for her. But I knew him around town when he was still going thru it.
@@derrickclark4753 Very cool, thx for sharing.
@JobsJ87 when I worked at a fast food place as a teenager there was this weird methed out lady who worked there that knew I liked wrestling and brought one of her friends to the store. It was Perry. He was going through it, but dude was still super cool. Then after he got sober and moved a half hour north of here he met my friends aunt somehow. I'm proud of him.
Albert Lea?
The man is a true badass and hero .
Jesse ventura was a navy seal before he moved to THE BAJA
Bahasotaah!
Why don’t you tell ME why there’s thermite paint in the pentagon?!
Jesse's Brother was also a navy seal/udt...don shippley interviewed his brother on his channel
😂😂
Have you ever had a thirteensome?
I always thought Perry Saturn being a shoot Army Ranger was bad ass. Made his gimmick even more believable. Along with his array of skills he displayed in the ring. A plethora of suplexes throws, kicks, death valley driver, and submissions. Perry was a very under rated Professional Wrestler in my humble opinion. I don't see anyone like him in today wraslin. That says alot. He kinda reminded me of a mix of the Steiner Brothers and Taz. Maybe some Chris Benoit in there as well
Yeah, him and Benoit were fun to watch. I think Nash called that group the vanilla midgets. Too bad they had waaaay more talent. Loved watching them.
@@justinwiggins1982 I agree. Yeah Kevin Nash was way off with his accessment. Not sure if that was a shoot or what from Nash. I was just thinking. I even see some Goldberg before Goldberg in Saturn. Pretty cool they had a match on PPV back in the day.
Yes he was used terribly tbf for his talent🤘
Billy Jack Haynes, Ahmed Johnson and Toru Tanaka were all ex military, Tanaka was a sergeant and Blackjack Mulligan was in the marines.
Thanks. Didn’t know that about Tanaka. I saw him and Mr Fuji as tag team champs live at the old Boston Gardens with my dad. Great memories
Sgt Craig Pitt Bull Pittman was a decorated marine.
WcW Saturday morning baby
He’s thinking about Road Dogg.
yep he legit was
I was thinking pitbull pitman but roadie could be actually what he was thinking of
Fellow Army veteran. Perry is a tough motherfucker to be a Ranger. This guy has done everything. Thanks Tony. Dorchester. Former Army veteran
Rangers at that time were stationed in three areas at the time of his service
Fort Benning (now Fort Moore), Fort Lewis and Fort Stewart
1of the 3 Ranger battalions at each duty station
Yeah they renamed Fort Benning after Hal Moore, I forgot about that.
@@pandavelli8176Everybody in Georgia that lives anywhere near it still calls it Benning.
Was there some stain on the "Benning" name or something? I need to look that up LOL find out he was a polygamist necrophiliac or worse
Firstly, Perry, love ya dude. It's awesome to see you in these interviews and doing well. Secondly, these shoots you've done are the best i've seen in a long time. Your honesty and humor are so refreshing. Especially in a business where bitterness and dishonesty are the norm.
In Hogan's book he claims to have been part of the core Soviet troops that conquered Berlin in 1945 brother.
"I raised that world famous flag on the reichstag, all in front of 700,000 screaming German hulkamaniacs brother"
My dad joined the 82nd airborne in 1980 and said that most the guys in rapid deployment units were convicts that chose military over prison sentences; I think they need to bring this back
Randy Orton got kicked out of Marines
He went awall a little different

Happy to see Perry looking good and telling stories!! Great guy and what a legend!
ECW wrestler Chilly Willy went into the military to fight after 9/11
911 was an inside job
Road Dog was in the Marines
Marines are nothing on the level of army rangers. Rangers are equivalent to navy seals basically. Not all the way but darn near
@@AndreDonDodda-kr9lb I think he was pointing it out because the boys seemed to be reaching for Road Dogg but never got there.
@@AndreDonDodda-kr9lb I didn’t say Marines were on the same level you dope. lol rangers are not on the same tier as Seals. You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about. They’re on the level of Marine Recon which is also below seals. Rangers and Marine Recon are considered tier 1 special forces.
@@darrellgrant7615 Actually as tim kennedy explained on a podcast it depends which unit of rangers, 75th Ranger Regiment for example are a equal to SEALS and act as direct support for delta.
I work with a guy who was a marine. He is one of the most lazy least dependable people I've ever worked with. 😂
Bobby Lashley; Craig Pitman; Jesse The Body; Randy Orton; Lacey Evans. Lol crazy thing, too....... I've heard that Sargent Slaughter was not ever in the military.
Not Randy Orton...he got dishonorable discharge
@@retrojoe8434 that's exactly right. My fault on that one lol
Slaughter was nothing more than a carny
Perry was one of my favorites in wcw.
Rings of Saturn thank you for your service
I'd like to see the whole Saturn interview
Not to knock Perry, but the Army Rangers are not "Only at Fort Lewis Washington" 75th Ranger Regiment and the bulk of Ranger training is at fort benning georgia...
I’m sure he mixed that up as he mentioned Georgia, Panama and Ft Lewis.
Interviewed MANY a old school ranger on my channel
Konan was in the Navy.
Ranger defac at Lewis was the best defac ever. Only breakfast and lunch.
Thank you for your service, Perry Saturn! Hoo-ah!
Lol nobody says that
bleeping dork
@@rancidcrawfish actually Marines do
Hoo-ah is technically US Army infantry, Marines yell Hoo-Rah...
@@ravensmythe1. Yes. Hooah is Army but it doesn’t sound like it’s spelled.
This is what I been waiting for
Mr. PERRY SATURN...THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND WE STILL LOVE YOU BRO!!!! STAY UP!!!🤗
Gotta love him. He does not make excuses. He accepts responsibility.
We love you Perry!
Ranger Ross, the real ICON
Randy Orton was a marine…..
I was always such a huge Saturn fan, since 1st seen The Eliminators at 2amEST. Always thought he could have been used better.
I went to the same highschool as Perry
What a stand up guy
Damn respect Perry !
My older brother did the same training he's talking about, and he's seriously a scary guy lol. Glad we're family🥶
Brian Adams AKA Crush served in the Air Force. Road Dog was in the marines
Yeah Raven was a platoon leader in the Marines before he got into wrestling.
Kevin Nash was in the Army too
Nash, konnan, ric rude, lashley, Montez ford
I just got one question for Perry Saturn who got the dogs in the divorce you or the mop 😂
Always seems laid back to me
Perry should get his own weekly show, every one else has one,its a easy way to Make sum cash if he can't wrestle anymore,Hook him up James!!!
Kevin Nash was an MP
MPs lead the way!
@@6torino9🤡
nash tore his acl when he was signing the papers to enlist
@@SmallBallPoker hahahahahah fucking great
@@SmallBallPoker Eddie Guerrero's heart blew up signing for Mexican Midget Army.
Vince McMahon graduated in 1964 from Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Virginia. I don't know if that's counts as serving in the Military?
Saturn > sgt slaughter 😆
Thank you for your service and for being who you are , Perry Saturn !
oh stop it
@@bara7331 why? What is wrong for thanking him for his service
The British equivalent of the 75th Regiment (Rangers) would be the Paras Regiment
ARMY Rangers are the real deal and Saturn didn’t do them justice here. You can tell he doesn’t want to sound boastful. ARMY Rangers are the elite force of the ARMY. Only the brightest and most in shape soldiers apply, and yet only a few make it out.
Raven was a Marine as a reservist.
Bob Armstrong was a Marine
Road Dogg
Orton
Lasley
Bobby Lashley was a Sergeant in the United States Army.
I thought Bobby was Air Force?
Ok the TNA guy was not a Marine, but it was Crimson who was in the Army Rangers.
Bobby Lashley US Army drill Sgt, Montez Ford Marines and Konnan US Navy
OSUT= One Station Unit Training
Corporal Kirchner was also a ranger.
David Schultz was a marine
Road Dawg is a former marine.
The biggest difference between the rangers and the marines is that they don't eat the green crayons.😜
Perry you also might be thinking of Craig Pittman im not sure
Kevin Nash was in the Army
Moppy told Perry to leave the army and try wrestling, they both got paid very well ! Moppy was the brains of the team
EFFFF road 🐶
Raven is a reserve Marine.
were you in the 75th regiment or just a yellow tab ranger
He went to RIP, so 75th.
Drew Carey marine reserves
Ken Shamrock got kicked out of the U.S. Marines for beating up an Officer or D.I., something like that. I think Ken said he was "medically discharged".
Didn't Ventura have a military background?
Yes he was a Seal
@@happynemesis8313 before he moved to THE BAJA
Wasn't Amazing Red or some other guy named Red a Marine? Steve Maclin was a Marine. Road Dogg was a Marine. Bobby Lashley was Army?
Amazing Red's fake brother, Crimson, later known as Mayweather, was military (not sure which branch)
@@HelpTheWretched Yeah I later figured out the name and he was an Army Airborne guy.
Road dogg was US marine
Jessie was a Navy Seal and Sgt. Slaughter was not in any Branch!.
Manny Fernandez & Sgt. Slaughter were legit.
Also, Boris Zhukov and Col. Mustafa.
Manny Fernandez was/is the biggest liar ever in wrestling. or in life
What are you talking about? Sergeant slaughter was never even in the Marines 😂
You are trolling, right? Lol. I cant tell because people still really believe manny was in nam and sarge was in the armed forces lol
Please be trolling
Bobby Lashley?
Rangers aren't like marines. There's very litttle overlap in actual duties. Rangers are special forces so they're funded differently. They're up there with Seals, Para-Rescue, and The Raiders, who are the new kids on the block. Marine Recon does all the rangers courses but their role is different as well. Marine Recon are super grunts at the presidents disposal.
Its the army’s equivalent to Navy seals essentially- legit tier 2 special forces
Not even close... Navy seals are even more elite than Army special forces. The closest thing the Army has to the seal team is Delta Force.
Take it from an 8 year Army Infantry veteran who was Airborne, Ranger, and instructor at the AIr Assault school.
The Rangers are legit bada$$ but more like super infantry. Their main job is to drop in and secure an airfield . The Navy seals do stuff like snatch and grab, rescue political prisoners and kill Bin Laden. The two groups often work together but the Seal teams get very laser focused and specialized training. The Rangers are are much larger unit in size that are more combat focused.
@@ThailandDantotherescue no- you don’t know what you’re talking about, there is 2 different levels of seals. Army Rangers and regular SEALS are both considered tier 2 under JSOC. Delta Force is the army’s tier 1 unit and Seal Team 6 is their Navy Tier 1 equivalent. There is also a tier 1 Ranger element called Ranger Reconnaissance Company.
You’re also confusing army special forces (green berets) with Rangers. Im not sure where you get your information but the Rangers haven’t specialized in airfield seizures since the 90s, since GWOT they now specialized urban warfare and CQB.
@athomefitness3089 whatever dude... I trained both and worked with both... for 8 years... but yeah, whatever you read on Wikipedia... lol
@@ThailandDantotherescue yes- Seal Team 6 (the unit that killed bin laden)is tier 1 and the other 9 seal teams are tier 2, this isn’t a Rubik’s cube genius🤦🏻♂️
@ThailandDantotherescue actually.... he is correct. There are different tiers of seals. And Delta operatives are on a higher level that all seals strive to become.
Can you post the whole interview rather than just clips
Fort Lewis.... Move on back up to the PNW would love to have you as a neighbor.
I think overall, WWE has done very little for their wrestlers post-wrestling. They can talk about their Legends contracts, their drug rehab. But they have, at least to my attention, nothing to help these wrestlers have a share in the company. And I stand corrected if I am wrong. I work for a hospital that automatically pays for us to have stock. It is not in our company as we are non-profit. But we also have a retirement plan that is matched. Every wrestler that signs a contract should be given a stock option that they cannot touch until they are of retirement age. So many of these guys put, yes it is their choice, their bodies through hell for a fraction of what WWE, WCW, AEW, make per show that they have to live with the rest of their life. Perry is just one of many how fell hard and literally almost has nothing. Again, please correct me if I am wrong.
We got to find some help for his teeth I know why they chip in
Rangers lead the way
Rangers lead the way hoorah
If he would have went WWF in 95 they would have e given him a Rambo gimmick.
I stayed until my body was too trashed to continue. I had everything documented so there was nothing they could do to wriggle out of paying me for the rest of my life. Make no mistake, I AM broken down, but not decrepit... I say as I laugh that I pulled a groin a couple weeks back. Had to make a damn old fogey walking stick and everything! Haha
Yeah guys are better off getting out after a few years with documented injuries nowadays. I retired last year after 22 years and my pension is less than someone getting 80% from the VA
@@rancidcrawfish 100% true. I'm 100% P&T and I make more than I would've at 20 for sure. Tax free and full VA healthcare to boot.
Randy orton lol
Fvcking deserter trash for sure.
Is Perry Saturn missing his teeth nowadays?
A black belt in Kenpo Karate a U.S. Special Forces Army Ranger, on top of that, yeah, he would kill Paul Veralans in a heartbeat
Paul Varelans destroyed 260 pound Kyokushin Karate fighter Gerry Harris with ease.
Depends on rules or no rules, no rules I'd take the military guy, but going against a professional fighter in their setting he'd have the edge.
@@cb3648 Varelans fought in an era where all you couldn't do was bite and eye gouge, he also only got beat by the best and was a bouncer so I'm sure he's no stranger to a street fight. Look up what happened when army ranger Gregg Stott fought in the early UFC, hint: He never fought again.
@@kevthegoat8774is he the guy that Mark Kerr destroyed?

No, Raven was not a Marine.... lol
he would have failed the medical as he has one leg longer than the other, if you ever look at raven's wrestling boots he has to wear lifts on one shoe because of this.
Randy orton marines
Army’s version of marines lol people still think marines are on some rambo shit by default.
Bobby Lashley was in the army
Manny Fernandez claims that he was in the military. But we all know that he is a compulsive liar. hehee
WTF !!!!! When will WSI post the most controversial part of Saturn's career? His shooting and physically abusing Mike Bell on WWE television. If Saturn refused to talk about it, then don't do the fucking interview.
I don't believe this guy was an Army Ranger. Sounds like he's lying
Jesse Ventura was a navy seal
