In this WIP Wednesdays Vanessa will show you how to make a project bag using home decor weight fabric. You can also make it with quilting cotton if you use some type of woven fusible interfacing to give it a little more body. The key for this project is not to use fabric that is too thick or too thin.
This project bag makes a great gift for a crochet or knitting friend! It's the perfect way to sort projects and keep them tidy stored away in this drawstring pouch.

I have a quarter of inch strip cut from a cereal packet and use this to fold over the edge and slide out of one of the open end edge to remove it - I have cut several different lengths for different projects

I used my tailors clapper when piecing my flannel patchwork quilt a few years ago. The long arm quilters were quite happy with how flat my seams were. Love my clapper.

Just found this. It's perfect for taking socks along when I'm riding in the car. Since I usually knit socks two at a time, I'm thinking of adding pockets to the inside so I can tuck in two skeins of yarn and keep them from tangling.

I made the one with the 2.5 strips of fabric, I think you called it a gift bag, I made 4 of them. This one is a lot easier, I am pretty sure I will made some for my sisters.

Waxed canvas...do one's machine needles get waxy and clog up? I bought a lot of it to use in various totes & handbags and as I'm thinking about supplies...am wondering if I need extra machine needles available should they clog up with wax????

Hello from Thecraftedheartnh, What's your thoughts on Pellon SF-101 with the home decor fabric? Love this project! I use fabric glue sticks a lot in certain applications so it would be great for this too!

I made this exact type of bag for my daughter and it hangs on her shifter in car as a trash can so her car stays clean.
Who knew you could use Elmers School glue instead of the fancy glue.
