Thank you for your clear and concise instructions. You speak to those who are beginning their sewing journey. I have followed you for many years and have always enjoyed your teaching method. Thank you for the work you do. It is appreciated.
I love this technique for drawstring bags. It is the easiest, fastest, I nicest looking drawstring bag. I'm a stickler for things looking as nice on the inside as on the outside and like a finished non-visible seam and this fits the bill to a T. It's great! Thank you Vanessa!
This is such a great idea, so much better than wrapping paper! Your instructions made it easy to see how to adapt this for a larger size, a version without strips, or one with a wider ruffle on top, you could add pockets to the outside or inside, you could even use iron on vinyl to make it water proof, these are so eco friendly, I’ve been wanting to make something like this for storage and organizing, laundry, dry cleaning trips etc., thank you so much! It would be super cute to sew these with ticking fabric (or toweling fabric with ticking stripes) and appliqué or embroider something along the bottom or in the center to personalize it.
Vanessa, love making these bags, made mine smaller using 4 strips, and a little shorter, 18 “, I’m using them for thanksgiving, a gift bag for the table scape, everyone gets a homemade phone pillow by ‘so very easy’, and it worked out perfect, used coral bells fabric, very earthy colored fabric that match the placemats by ‘Missouri quilt co’, I love your videos, keep them coming, thanks Mercy G.
Fantastic bag & awesome explanation. I love stitching but I wasn't sure how to sew this bag but by watching ur video I am fascinated . I will try to sew it very soon. Thank you so much for the tutorial 😃
I just finished two of these bags!! Super easy and super cute !!! My quilty friends and guild members are going to love these !!! Thank you so much for the tutorial !!!
Love it - and the recipient gets two gifts - these could be used for so many things once the gift is opened. Thank you for such a great, practical project!
+TheCraftyGemini I made one this afternoon for a Xmas party - it was from my stash so ended up a tad smaller but was the perfect size for what I needed. So cute!
The more I look at your projects the more I get into sewing. Love the way you explain each step and how easy and simple it is to make them. I’m so happy with all the things I have learned from you. Thank you so much and God bless your hands. ❤️❤️❤️

I was looking for some little sewing projects and your this episode was recommended. I’ve watched your episodes before and was a subscriber but for some reason, RUclips unsubscribed me to your channel. I resubscribed and enjoyed this episode. Thank you
I made a few of these a couple of years ago, and have returned for a review so I can make a bunch more. One of the bags that I had intended to give away, I ended up using as a project bag for the needlework that I take with me any time I may have to wait... traveling, medical appointments, etc.. I've had so many comments about the bag! Some days more than the bag than about my needlework! :-0 Thanks for the clear, concise tutorial. Very appreciated!
I like the bigger size and it is definitely a good gift bag keepsake and good practical bag for just carrying around too!!!!! Thanks,I like your projects too!!!!!! Good useful ideas!!!
Great tutorial as always! ABSOLUTELY love your teaching style!!!! Thank you for caring and sharing your love of sewing and creating with all of us. If it weren't for you, I would not have ever taken the first stitch let alone started up my in-home sewing business! I have been blessed by your beautiful mind!!!

Thank you Vanessa-I have fabric for my daughters wedding I was making masks....done with that so I will now make some of these cute bags. Also love your peg board decorations in the background! The Granny Squares are the best part. (crocheter at heart!) Trying sewing for a change and your videos have been so helpful.

I made your bag, and several things for a dear friend of mine. She loves fall, so along with this I sent microwave bowl cozies, table runner, pot holders...She misunderstood my explanations, and used this to reheat her mac and cheese. I use all natural thread and fabric, so no fear there!
Exactly what I was looking for! I just searched the Crafty Gemini first! Making a larger bag for Tony's thermos and cups that he carries back and forth from the boat.
Hi Vanessa love this bag and the tutorial-had been looking for a draw string bag how-to for my local craft group in Shropshire UK - this fits the bill perfectly! I will be making more of these nearer Christmas -a great way to use some Christmasy fabric! Thank you so much. Jenny
