    I have just sewn my first project ever on my brand new machine using scraps from old threadbare Peter Alexander PJ's - thanks a million for the easy to follow tutorial, it's such a cute bag....AND I MADE IT, it's a revelation! ;-)

    I’ve been looking for an unlined drawstring bag tutorial for ages and this one is excellent.
    I wanted help on how to make the drawstring section well below the top edge using a single piece of fabric and this shows how! Thank you 😊

    Thank you for sharing your talent with world. You take the time to explain each movement in everything you're sewing. And I LOVE to hear you talk. LOL. I am from the USA in South Florida in a small town I grew up in. And we do not have any fabric stores in the whole county . I do alot of sewing. I learned to sew while in High School. And I am 69 years young now. I love watching you and many others and learning new things. God Bless you and continue sharing with the world. Thank you. And people say I have a southern accent , but I don't hear it.LOL

      Yes you certainly could. I decided to keep it quick and easy for the tutorial but they would look great with boxed corners.

    Thank you for this easy follow video. I am new at sewing and learning something new every day. I just learned to do boxed corners so I think I will add a little bit of extra length and make one with boxed corners. Thank you again!!!

    Thank you for sharing this. I am a new sewer at age 61. Have a couple of great nieces that love crafts so I've been practicing these so I can teach them how to make them. I plan to also teach them how to make the fabric yo yo's which they can carry in the bag and take out to play tic tac to on the bag - stole that idea from Pinterest.

    So the raw edges are just left to fray. No overlocking or French seam?

      I find it very difficult to leave a raw edge unfinished, unless it’ll be encased eventually as in quilting. Maybe it’s a little ocd, but I always want those edges contained somehow!

      These are good tips for finishing the project Barbara, and the edges can also be cut with pinking shears.
