Hey Charlotte - love this version of a drawstring bag. Question - would there be a way to alter this pattern so that you could have drawstrings on both sides of the opening? Thanks!
Yes, absolutely! You would need to leave an opening on the opposite side too, and make both openings the same size. For thinner fabrics you can go down to 4 cm [ 3/4" ], for thicker fabrics at least 5 cm [ 1" ] .
@hilary8222 I created a new tutorial because of your great question. It's a smaller size, but I'm sure you will be able to adapt the size if you need to ruclips.net/video/EeH7F0IZgoY/видео.html
Hi! 112 X 29 cm [44"x11.4"], I used the entire width of the fabric including the selvedge. You can easily adapt the size to your preference or to fit the fabric you have.
Very cute drawstring bag !! Thanks for sharing your skills. Just one point... the video ' runs '... making it difficult to absorb the process at one go , for a new seamstress like me.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm trying to find a better balance in my recent videos. I might need to redo this one in the future at a more beginner friendly pace too .
So what exactly is the purpose of going at the speed of light? Experienced sewers may be able to follow along, but it’s very frustrating for us newbies who are trying to learn this.
Thanks for the feedback! Would love to hear what you would prefer instead. Sewing in real time or slightly sped up? Still fairly new to this RUclips thing so still learning what works.
It’s a RUclips video you could try rewind the video and if necessary do this repeatedly. I often do this when following people who have been kind enough to share there skills
Can you explain what you find annoying and would like to see differently? I'm still trying to figure the whole YT thing and would love constructive feedback on the videos. If there is something you do like please let me know too ;)
Don’t mind it. Good video to the point and different way to do this. Maybe leave the words and measurements on longer. I have kids so I miss things a lot lol
Thank you! I am so going to make tons of these for Christmas gift bags this year!
You are so welcome! That sounds like a lot of sewing fun and they are perfect as gift bags :)
Very clever and quick way to make a lined bag! Loved the no nonsense how-to video.
Thanks so much for the lovely comment! Glad to hear it was helpful :)

You can change the playback speed under Settings. Hope that helps now and in the future!
@@donnah8681 thanks! That's a great suggestion.
Change your playback speed and watch it as many times as you need.
