On clip number 2 I've seen the Alien jump down from above and the woman shouts 'Open the door its shut'.

This movie is going to again break classic cannon, particularly second and third film. In the second film the company sent Carter Burke (and Bishop with orders too) to acquire an specimen. In alien 3, and in a third and last attempt to retrieve an alien, the company sent another Bishop model, and again failed.

I thought that too, but I think they're just brown like in AvP Requiem. It's kinda weird because as far as the time line goes, Alien Covenant, and Alien had tan facehuggers, this one will have brown, but then Aliens, Alien 3, and Alien Resurrection are back to tan...
If its not a royal facehugger then it's a regular facehugger that can make a queen so odds are the other facehuggers are protecting it maybe the alien in romulus is a young queen?
And the scene with her laying in a bed and screaming…pretty sure we know what that scene is from

So that last shot she seems to be tied to something while the Xeno is just about to get her then I keep connecting another scene where we see the Xeno fall through the floor. Looks like a trap for the Xeno and she’s the bait.
Hey H look at the scene where Isabela Merced is laying flat screaming.. If you look at where she is laying looks a lot like the white interior to a cryotube... Could she be the reason for the bloody cryotube that was seen in the teaser trailer?

@06:12 is what intrigues me most! Isabela Merced said in an interview that there was a disgusting, never before seen moment in the franchise that even disgusted the crew watching it back.
As awesome as the chestburster XRAY scene is, I can't imagine they were referring to that and instead mean something that happens to her character, which seems to be alluded to in this moment
Ridley Scott must feel so stupid for making Prometheus and Alien Covenant after seeing such strong appeal for Alien Romulus going back to the roots of Alien.
I don’t think so. He’s glad that he made the 2 prequels but sad that it didn’t do well
We already KNOW Romulus has a strong connection to the prequels, so why would Scott feel stupid about something he's producing, knowing he will get to finish his prequels if this movie is a hit?? Here's some advice: If you're going to hate on something or someone, make sure you know what you're talking about first!

He shouldn’t because Prometheus was great and Covenant was still very good. Covenants issues were from trying to appeal to the more lowbrow fans who just wanted a xenomorph killing people. Just because something is what more of the general population like doesn’t always make it better. Romulus will be good not just cos it has the roots but it clearly will be visually fantastic (also thank Ridley Scott being on as producer)
What are you 12? The prequels were made because gatekeeping fans kept ragging on about the space jockey and engineers... That's the lore the fans asked for, that's what they got. The engineers design was iconic. Fans actually continue to request lore about space jockeys. They wanted to see Shaw and David go to their Homeworld. THAT was the direction. Prometheus is about DAVID. David isn't in Romulus to any significant degree apparently. Nobody asked for Weyland Yutani. They asked about David, and engineers, and still the space jockey. They got introduced, they want it concluded.
Romulus is how Davids journey is supposed to conclude. It's supposed to connect the original crash and space jockey now we know about engineers. It's not supposed to let us know what happened to one singular xeno or what I imagine is Weyland Yutani taking over Davids arc.
Romulus looks completely unnecessary. We know how facehuggers and xenos were made.
Love the way even when the Alien is in its cocoon stage that the tail is out on attack mode.

I wonder how long the space lab has been abandoned. If it's property of Weyland Yutani they wouldn't just leave it there for anyone to go into. Guess we'll find out.

Well that is a interesting Question... this station would have had many people working there.
If many escaped then HOW does the Company and Humanity not know?
Surely a Military Mission would have been sent or the Station Destroyed.
But if the Station is comprised by Rogue A.I this could prevent anyone from leaving.
So WHERE are all of the Crew and what became of them.... I think we will Find Out.... in the 3rd Act
If the station became infested but most of the crew escaped, perhaps the best move by an unscrupulous company would be to send it near populated planets, seed rumors of valuable equipment on board and wait for willing hosts break in to increase the xeno population before 'harvesting them'.
Or not wanting to use their own, valuable salaried staff, the site could have always been intended for that purpose, with this group simply not the first to visit. If remus was where the initial research was done, and romulus where phase two... namely growing facefuggers and impregnation takes place, that would fit.

Ash? Android innards. Hardly gore

There was a time when the alien films were played out and considered old hat. This looks no different than the other films. People being chased down halls, face huggers, aliens. It’s just the same shit thrown in the microwave and reheated.
It’s not terrible but everyone needs to quit acting like this film is the second coming of sliced bread. Been done to death.

I havent been excited for an Alien movie in a long time. Im hoping this doesnt disappoint. Looks promising so far.
i think its going to tie back to the end of covenant when david basically regurgitated the alien facehugger egg up to put in storage. Im predicting that the romulus space station is probably a secret weyland yutani breeding and genetic modification facility. Would be a great through-line for both the first and most recent installments.

Things I just now noticed:
* There is a good sized hive being built/grown.
* The facehuggers are not tan, but brown. Like in AvP: Requiem. I know it's just a coincidence, but why not go with tan like all the other movies?
* We may get to see a part of a xenos metamorphosis from chestburster to adult?
The filmmakers also made it clear that this movie takes place between Alien and Aliens. That HAS to be significant to the overall story and not just a random time frame they chose, right? The Weyland Yutani logo shows up a couple of times in the trailers, so I'm guessing the events of this movie link to the 1986 film somehow.
Where in the fuck did they get all these huggers from? Im assuming splicing from chapp? Also my biggest question is whos making the hive structure? Is it the cauterized xeno??? Or is previously done hive... did he just come out of his cocoon and immediately starts to decorate the place.

@@sy-ky_buddy4603probably the caccoon xeno you see in the trailer is big chap and probably spends most of the movie healing and evolving into a new xenomorph
You see the caccoon xeno in the trailer and tv spot it was in very bad shape when they find it,
The other xenomorph is from new chest burster they will fight that xenomorph throughout the movie and then big chap will probably appear at the end as a final showdown in its new evolved form.
This video reminded my to change the filter in the my facehugger aquarium.
If anyone hasn't already, check out the fan animated short Alien film "Alien: Monday" on youtube while your waiting for Romulus. It apparently took 6 years to make and is honestly pretty good. It is in an anime style however which for some people might be off-putting.

Alien resurrection wasn’t terrible it was decent. And it shows that the Wayland company has been doing all kids of experiments for centuries. From cloning Ripley to crossing the species trying to create the perfect organism. I did enjoy alien resurrection. But wasn’t as excited about it like i am about Alien Romulus. Can’t wait to see this movie.
Resurrection is a cool movie.

Ton of plot holes. 1) The Nostromo was blasted in a nuke. No debris of anything would have survived let alone floating in pieces no less. 2) Alien coccoon was a drone not the queen type so where did all the eggs came from.

@@chrisethredge9577 I think we have to look at the Deaths and assume that everyone but Rain will Die... (maybe she doesn't survive either).
We have one 100% Chest Burster Death...... so we have Kay, Tyler and Bjorn.... 3 more Humans and I am not sure if they will give us Two Face Hugger type Deaths.
But it seems like another Xenomorph is encountered later in the Movie, is this the Big Chap, if not then where did it come from?

My Money is on Alvarez showing the same Fate as Lambert from ALIEN only this time we see it in Full Glory Glory..... with the Tail Penetrating from her Abdomen then Slicing it open for her Bowels to fall to the Floor..... thats my Bet
@@davebear9825 I have a suspicion the xeno stalking Isabela Merced’s character (in the scene where she’s banging on the door and it pops up behind her in the window of the door) impregnated her somehow to make the alien/human hybrid.
the second clip you share, rain saying "what is it" is when she is behind Andy and he stops abruptly. Its before she starts shooting I beleive, and is the same scene used in other cuts where her gun light pans on the wall to the side before revealing hive like materials.
A giant new hugger or maybe the Alien growing in the tank
so this is probably what it is. a combination of Alien Isolation, the original Alien 3 script when they use the Bishop egg thing to reengineer the Alien, and then the more unethical side of Resurrection.
Maybe the Facehuggers spliced with a crab or something. Has to be another organism.
Confusion = me trying to pause the video in a hurry to see facehugger tank while using the controls on Mr. H's screen and not my own while he himself is scrolling the video back and forward to find the scene again.
It might be the lobster tank in the station's canteen.
4:39, that dome looks different slightly than the xeno in the very next shot. So, does the scorched xeno come out of the cocoon with his dome damaged? I thought I heard something about the people attacking the cocoon and that leads to the tail attack in the trailer and also what caused the damage to the scorched xeno. If so, is the xeno with the smooth dome a second one?
I believe there’s at least two to three xenos in the movie from what I’ve read online in different sources: the scorched xeno, the big chap and possibly the human/xeno. I think if we’re to believe the last one is real, Fede’s done an amazing job hiding it from set photos and trailers!
