when sculpting pouches, theres an even easier way to do the buttons. Just use a metal tipped mechanical pencil. a gentle but firm press will push in and leave you with a perfect hemisphere button. Use an xacto blade to add some gentle folds in the area near the button if youd like.
About lubricants for green stuff, I use... an expired bottle of cooking-grade coconut oil. I tap some on a paper towel, then just brush my tools on it so that they're just slippery enough without the inconvenience of lifting the putty from the mini.
Cool conversion Pete, btw, it's pronounced "need a tight". Iso will remove any traces of vaseline from the putty easily, just brush it over with a soft brush and leave to dry A small piece of 6mm glass or a ceramic tile are good flat surfaces, and easier to remove any cured putty from than a cutting mat. Put your putty between the two sides of an opened up plastic bag for rolling out, don't forget the vaseline on the inside of the bag, no need to lubricate the roller then. Top tip: get your greenstuff from Sylcreate they are the UK distributor, you are more likely to have a fresh batch from them than anywhere else. Get the sticks, not the strip, cut a small amount from each color and store them in there own small jar (30ml jar from Amazon etc), store the rest of the sticks in the freezer until needed
Great video! As someone just beginning to explore sculpting this came at just the right time. I've been watching last light creative's videos but some of them definitely feel a bit too advanced for me. This is a great help, thank you!
HOLY COW PETE DOES INFINITY!!! Are the GW thought police coming for you now? This is a really nice introduction to working with putties. I already knew most of it, but still found it immensely helpful as it filled a few gaps in my knowledge... pun totally intended...
This man's pronunciation of: "Putty" Its one of the most satisfactory things i ever listen to, can you please make a 10 hour version of Putty Asmr? Btw im taking note of everything in this video like a psyco. Thank you very much
Excellent tutorial! Thank you. Could you please tell me the milliput:green stuff ratio you used? I don’t think you mentioned it in the video. Many thanks!
I'd like to kitbash/convert some Chaos-corrupted Stormtroopers (the ones from Star Wars to be exact) and I think this video might come in handy for whenever i do get the chance to make that concept into my next project If you got any suggestions on how I could convert my own Chaos Stormtroopers, just let me know!
Corvus always lacked making proper blister upgrades for some of their units, its especially bigger BS they sold alternate loadouts for units as convention exclusives

I'll certainly keep that in mind, thanks
Nivea hand cream is perfect when you work with green stuff. It does not get oily like vaseline.
Bro this is EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you so much for this!

Fun to see your work outside the GW dominance
It’s for the new edition let’s see if he continues after
I'd love to see other games on here more often.

Nice video to finish off a Sunday on. Any chance we can get more Horus heresy guides? There’s a lot of legions you have yet to do videos on
Each of your videos is a little piece of magic. Keep inspiring us with your creations!😼🖐👒

Much like myself and many others, these models need some dead animal bits! 😅
