Quick question, what is the name of the display cases on the wall during your intro? I'm looking into getting my own display cases for my hobby area and those look damn nice.
In the lore terminators are often stated to have difficulty (or be completely unable) reloading their weapons due to the bulky nature of their armour and having a power fist. This is why they have really large magazines. Since the Raptors are tactical, maybe you could kitbash a "terminator support squad" that is just regular marines (or scouts, or techmarines or something) who follow terminators around and reload their weapons/do field repairs for them
Honestly the entire Raptor project your doing has to be one of the very best ive ever seen on YT or otherwise. Such a simple yet brilliant idea and scheme. You should be very proud to have them as your army for sure
During the COVID lockdowns, I got pretty depressed, I tried to paint some more, and found your videos, I ended up falling out of love with the hobby, but I'm doing so much better now and your videos are back on my feed, same as they were when I was painting more, it's a damn good sign
Love the reactive armor. Can just imagine someone krak missiling a termie and going 'wow he's toast' then out of the smoke plods this TACTICAL DREADNOUGHT
This sponsor is a rare one on youtube; I've used them and they're actually phenomenal! If you play regular D&D/etc on a virtual tabletop, a single month of Patreon will let you download their huge backlog of maps.
I know its a little to late now. But possibly a way to make the Sergeant stand out could have been a Power Axe? I know the Raptors are all tactical but even modern Tier 1 Special Forces Operators use Tomehawk Axes for breaching. Even if its just stored somewhere on the armour. (Maybe the back of the belt?)
wonderful work as always! RIP Ironclad indeed. maybe one day you can bring the chonky boi into the newer scale of dreadnoughts w/ a Brutalis conversion and give it unprecedented levels of CHONK.
I think you should have kept the crux terminatus on the right shoulder pad, you say they remove heraldry that serves no purepose but the crux actually does something. it offers a genuine blessing/protection from the Emperor and it is described that shots and blows would miss the terminator as a whole at the very last moment because of this. still a very cool conveersion and dont take what I said as something negative, its just a different perspective on things!
Brilliant as always. I bumped into you in the shop at Warhammer World last Sunday,. I was in a rush and it was a bit garbled, but was just trying to say 'Thank you for all the content and entertainment!' Creators like you keep me motivated and interested in this hobby. Thank you! Keep doing what you do.
So, a thought on how purity seals ARE tactical. Most Astartes chapters know about the vile entities known as daemons that lurk in the warp. Purity seals and prayer are logical tools that are used to counteract immaterial threats. Thus it would stand to reason that if a squad of Astartes wishes to be ready for anything, I.e. ‘tactical’, they would wear or atleast bring some form of purity seals or other religious items. Just saying…. Daemons are real in this setting.
I completely agree with your point, but I like to think that at least one of their myriad of pouches contains a prayer book (not quite the Liber Daemonica, but something more trimmed down and less clandestine). Not only does it parallel the idea of a soldier carrying a pocket bible, but it also serves as a way to carry around a chaos deterrent in a way that wouldn't be as easily damaged as a purity seal attached to the outside of the armour. But who knows, maybe against larger chaos hordes the Raptors adorn themselves purity seals, and then omit them when fighting the xenos because they're unnecessary.
Awesome as always Pete! A raptors dreadnought would be super cool! Kitbashing it to look more utilitarian or perhaps focus on the life support aspect of it.
Good choice on the hellblaster bits(not sure about the handle tho). The gravis plate and new calgar model have a neat feature at the bottom end of respective power pack having ammunition feed(bolt and flamer/melta). Would you use something like that for raptors perhaps? There was also an artwork (supposedly 50k imagining) of power pack having a compact lascannon battery pack mounted at the same position as ones i mentioned(with added caveat that there's provision at the top bit of power pack to help with the cooling of said cannon without actually adding bulk to the marine).
Man....Even just that first one. Basing a terminator squad on various types of dread sounds like a fantastic killteam opportunity. Here's my Melee/Melta/Flamer welding Furioso Terminator. Here's my Autocannon/Heavy Plasma Redemptor Terminator. So many ideas.
Will there be more Dornian Heresy conversions? I'd also like to see you tackle some other alternate heresy settings, such as the Roboutian Heresy and Lionel Heresy
I love these Raptor videos. I’m currently 2 1/2 squads into building a Raptor company. Your videos really help to set a template and overarching theme to the company, while allowing for some specialization of individuals and squads. Keep up the great videos!
I think my biggest problem with kitbashing unique terminators is that im pretty apprehensive towards plastering them with pouches as I don't think it made much sense. But your videos has proved that it does look visually appealing, as most your raptors do. I guess I'll need to do some more thinking on it but your other parts uses and such are a real inspiration, so thank you for that.
There's something special about Terminators that I love, and seeing your video pop up continuing one of the best documented and well crafted, and on going spacemarine armies, my heart 🫠. Or in other words I was full of bliss.
Really liking the design process and final painted look. Reminded of an alternate history and Space Marines were present during World War 2, really like that character element. Brilliant.
Im going to do 2000 points of orkmarines. Basically a bunch of orks fall in love with marine tech and take over an outpost, dispatch all the humies and use the equipment. Im trying to come up with more lore like they were captured and the SM commander was going to drop them off on a nid base to get rid of both.
I love your practical tactical themes you apply to your Marines. I been thinking of a custom chapter that maintains a militia of sort, well more like a regiment but called militia to get around any potential laws. And actively deploys them beside their main companies, not as cannon fodder but as actual forces of value, they are raised from aspirants that didn't make the grade for astartes but proved their value as fighting men. They are well equipped and will carry extra ammo and supplies for their astartes superiors spread across the squad so no one man is over burdened.
I LOVE the idea of terminators with reactive armour! It makes perfect sense and as far as I know doesn't really exist in-universe. ERA is already real life sci-fi.
Pete, get yourself some Nail Art Ceramic burs, they make the removal of unwanted details a breeze. With your dremel on the lowest setting they wont melt the plastic, and are very controllable. You get 5 or so different shapes in a set, and they are pretty cheap. They come in Coarse, Medium and Fine, course will remove a lot of material quickly, used with a light touch the fine will give a nice smooth finish to the plastic
As always impeccable work Pete, love watching along and getting inspiration for my own small kitbashing projects. I built Deathwing terminators and knights this weekend, and had lots of fun doing basically the opposite of what you did with your Raptors terminators - adding lots of extra ornamentation and silly details for the highly decorated First of the First :)
I like the conversions done but feel there is an aspect to the Raptors which you omit from the art In the classic piece of a tactical marines standing at ease, he has a bunch of extra ornamentation. A shield on his shoulder emblazoned with a styalised sun, an array of skulls hung to the other, a marking on his leg likely from a Crusade. Effectively they are missing the more knightly elements which make them space marines than "Sci fi space soldiers"
Pete, I am with you all the way when it comes to their amount of adornments that one must cut away when converting these terminators. Though after adding some dead people bits they make for some nice red butchers.
I can’t wait for your take on raptors tanks/vehicles with real world things like sandbags on top and spaced plates and maybe some slat armour too. Along with a killer paint job and maybe the camo netting over the barrel to shroud it. You’re going to do great I love your vids
Once again recommending you expand the original raptors kill team into squads of each model type as a way to get to use them in the modern edition of a games workshop game
I've been watching your Raptor's video and noticed in this one the change to TTC paints. Any chance you've updated your raptor painting to mostly use TTC and could tell me which colours? And... if you have any advice on thinning TTC for airbrush, I'd take that too. it's not been working well for me.
exelent work as allways! Think the ERA could have been used alot more to really get across what it is (maybe cast if lack of parts is an issue) I like how much the squad numbers stand out, and the smoke launchers are an awesome detail to, think i'm gonna have to steal that at some point
Well done Pete , now that G-dubs released the new killteam rules you convinced me to also start a Raptor (killteam) army . also a Raptor Sicaran Battle Tank sounds nice no ?

One of these days, I'd love to see the whole Raptors army together.
Imagine if we had these puppies in tora bora.
Hell yeah.
Love to see a collaboration with someone and it's a battle report with all the raptors
@footrot17 why would you reference that😂
In the lore terminators are often stated to have difficulty (or be completely unable) reloading their weapons due to the bulky nature of their armour and having a power fist. This is why they have really large magazines. Since the Raptors are tactical, maybe you could kitbash a "terminator support squad" that is just regular marines (or scouts, or techmarines or something) who follow terminators around and reload their weapons/do field repairs for them
Raptors would use terminators in mixed armor warfare instead of deploying them in squads
I might try that on my deathwatch actualy. Neat thought!
Don’t they usually have serfs do that? Field repairs on gear?
@@Ragnarra I think some chapters do but im not sure
If this is the case, how does reloading work in Space Hulk: Deathwing?
"Terminator Honors give you no tactical advantage whatsoever." - Veteran Sergeant Brother Serpens
I am happy the Raptor Project has been continued.
Hey Pete , a while back you did space marines legions, but you only got to do 6 legions, I would really like to see it complete
It’s awesome seeing you do new Raptor units, it would be cool to see how you would “Raptorize” an Invictor Tactical Warsuit
Tactical^2

Very cool. The missing Crux Terminatus made me think they're a heretical chapter, though.
I know its a little to late now. But possibly a way to make the Sergeant stand out could have been a Power Axe? I felt that ironclad call out, right in the feels. Awesome job as always!
Raptors are gonna make a come back because of you. I’d love to see a conversion of a chaplain or librarian someday.

Give the lovely man a like, go on he's brilliant. Lovely format, I enjoyed the voice over
I love terminators, glad to see you make these. Would love to see an army shoot of your entire Raptor force all together
Awesome as always Pete! A raptors dreadnought would be super cool! Kitbashing it to look more utilitarian or perhaps focus on the life support aspect of it.
I second this
Some reactive armor would probably look pretty good on a raptor dread
The extra tactical bits and armor make these guys look like the could take a nuke to the face and shrug it off
The Crux Terminatus on the Terminator's shoulder DOES serve a tactical purpose: It's the source of the Terminator's invulnerable save.
Tacticool terminators
I love terminators so much. The tactical look is great. Tactical tactical dreadnought armor.
Giggling at the chapter names, especially terminator pontificator. Great video as always, and always good to see more Raptors!

Awesome video. Anyone know where he got those display shelves at 0:06 thanks
What a masterclass in tactical detailing

That tow hook is so simple yet so badass, makes it more of a walking vehicle than super soldier.
Very cool. The paint job really compliments the diesel-punk aesthetic of those tacticool terminators.
Really liking the design process and final painted look.
Reminded of an alternate history and Space Marines were present during World War 2, really like that character element.
Brilliant.
Oh hell yeah!
The models and color scheme look great! Thanks for sharing this.
I love your raptors videos whenever they are uploaded. It's a lovely project to follow!

How have your red grass clippers held up over time? Mine have deffo dulled sightly.

Your painting has improved so much since your first vids.
You’re an inspiration to me.
Thank you sir.
I think it would be awesome to see a gladiator kitbashed into a more tactical IFV!
God I love terminators, they're my favorite
As always impeccable work Pete, love watching along and getting inspiration for my own small kitbashing projects. Let’s go more Raptor kitbashes! Also would love to see some vehicles join this impressive force- maybe you could add some Freeblades?
I think a raptor tank would be cool
You could go very deep into the functional exposition style
I really like your Raptors colour scheme...and your paintjob is great! Keep up the good work!
I like the conversions done but feel there is an aspect to the Raptors which you omit from the art

Terminators, awesome! Just what i've been waiting for!
ERA is such a sick idea imma do that with my raptors
Nice to see some more of your Raptors, they look amazing. Hopefully we see a full army video one day
Yessss! I’ve been waiting for a new video in this series!!
ERA on Terminator pauldrons is an AWESOME idea.
Pete, I am with you all the way when it comes to their amount of adornments that one must cut away when converting these terminators. Though after adding some dead people bits they make for some nice red butchers.
Nice work I like the white helmets in particular
I can’t wait for your take on raptors tanks/vehicles with real world things like sandbags on top and spaced plates and maybe some slat armour too. Along with a killer paint job and maybe the camo netting over the barrel to shroud it. You’re going to do great I love your vids
I always thought Gravis helmets would look better than terminator helmets on the terminators.
FOR THE ALGORITHM!!
And also for the awesome kitbashing work.
Sgt with the cross-draw pistol is just 😚👌🏼
Damn. Those look awesome. Good work! Thanks for sharing!!
LOVE this raptors series
I wonder if you could create another one that has claws on the legs by the feet and the heavy gatling cannon
This gives me ideas for my. Red Corsairs. 🖤
Once again recommending you expand the original raptors kill team into squads of each model type as a way to get to use them in the modern edition of a games workshop game
Painting video! Painting Video!! PAINTING VIDEO!!!
Oooh, very nice! - makes me want to see you take it one more step at a time by doing some Raptor conversions of Primaris Aggressors next! =D
Have you ever thought about doing Gunpla kitbashing? I bet that you could make a really cool titan proxy for your Raptors using Zeon suits
id love to see you make a troop transport in this utilitarian style and colour scheme
The 1st power fust reminds me of the tesla upgrade on Fallout Power Armour. Nicely done
Going to be pain in the ass to open those pouches, hope they have a bunch of tacticool serfs at hand 😅
Fantastic as usual
I would love to see a raptors dreadnought maby using the invictor warsuit as a base
Any chance you're gonna show the force so far and what points you are at painted?
I love your job! I always wait for you to upload a new video.
would love to see your take on a company heroes squad for the raptors
Would love to see your take on a raptors kill team scout squad box
Surprised you didn't try to add reactive armor to the Terminators
Need to stick a Dreadnaught in the army!
let’s go love this series
These guys look slick
What would a Legion of the Damned Ferris Manus look like I wonder
I've been watching your Raptor's video and noticed in this one the change to TTC paints. Any chance you've updated your raptor painting to mostly use TTC and could tell me which colours? And... if you have any advice on thinning TTC for airbrush, I'd take that too. it's not been working well for me.
Nice! I will be stealing these ideas. 😊
“Brother! My power fist won’t fit in my snack pouch!”
exelent work as allways! Think the ERA could have been used alot more to really get across what it is (maybe cast if lack of parts is an issue)
I like how much the squad numbers stand out, and the smoke launchers are an awesome detail to, think i'm gonna have to steal that at some point
Well done Pete , now that G-dubs released the new killteam rules you convinced me to also start a Raptor (killteam) army . also a Raptor Sicaran Battle Tank sounds nice no ?
Pete can you do a kill team of watchers in the dark like kitted out with guns and swords? That would be absolutely so sick and unique
Love the video ❤ another amazing one 🔥
Could you do a Trench Crusade Kitbash based on the concept art?
do you have the whole army to date pictured together?
Inspiring!
Quality content 👌
