Tier 1 of expanded Big Ten, SEC, and Big 12. 24 teams each, for a total of 72 teams, 16 team playoff, each gets from 4-6 teams in the playoff. No conference championships because they’ll be in the playoffs. Award conference champions based on win/loss and tie breakers or shared co-champions. Tier 1 commissioner and commissioners office to work with the 3 on structure, players pay, rules, etc. Look, the SEC is interested in expanding its footprint to States they are not in, which is why North Carolina and maybe Virginia make sense for them. Big Ten is interested in Florida State, Clemson, Miami, of course Notre Dame if/when ready, maybe a Georgia Tech and Pitt. Big 12 picks up teams out of the ACC that don’t get invited into the Big Ten and SEC. The Big Ten may look to round out at 24 with another team or two out west, like a Utah as an example. Tier 2 will be the other Div 1 teams with their own conferences and own playoff.

Market attractiveness, Academic Resources. *I hope AAU Status is not included in ranking. The AAU is a glorified Lobbyist group, that seeks federal funds. The AAU is like a country club, it is by invitation only & it is fluctuating where university’s may join & may be kicked out. It should never be used for the quality of education. Those are the words of a current AAU Member. Because, Stanford & Cal would not be planning to fly across the Country. FOX wants Florida State University above any others out there, I don’t know where the SEC stands? I expect the SEC to add NC State, Clemson, Florida State, Virginia Tech and possibly both Pitt and Syracuse. Cal, Stanford, SMU will then all get swept up by the Big XII, along with Pitt and Syracuse if they don’t go to the SEC, and Wake and BC get shafted like Washington State and Oregon State.

@Depressed Ginger...The 'news' about Notre Dame not getting a bye in the CFP is nothing new. This was negotiated well over a year ago and Notre Dame was fine with never getting a bye, even if ranked in the Top-4. With their recent NBC contract extended (terms not disclosed) the dollar discrepancy between the Power-2 and ND has narrowed to a range that ND is comfortable with. That being said, if the ACC collapses, I could see Notre Dame entering the BIG.
B1G takes Stanford (=deal to Wash & Oregon) and ND (same deal as with ACC, FBall independent, all other sports). 6 B1G games in football with permanent opponents USC & Stanford. Rotate other conference games.
Let’s put the Big 10 wish list in a logical order 1: ND: Pretty obvious. 2: FSU; Noles are an easy second. 3: UNC: Although I suspect SEC. 4: Clemson: Same as UNC. 5: Miami: Likely FSU travel partner 6: Stanford: But Rejected already . 7: UVA: Public Flagship but Stanford “Lite.” 8: GT: They do have Atlanta and academics. 9: BC: But only their hockey team. 10: The rest of the ACC: They have no shot:
Conferences need to go away. The Big 10 is not ten teams and the B12 is up to more than 12. Why not just merge interested teams into one big affiliation of teams to maybe 50 or 60 teams? Set up the rules and scheduling format and stop all this nonsense about who gets which teams. If ND wants to be independent go play non-affiliated teams and do its own thing.

What about Nc State,Wake Forest, those particular schools I feel that the ACC should go after ECU, USF quite frankly those additions would be great …for the conference and let NC State BC,Wake Forrest be the anchors of the conference quite frankly ……
Hold up, do you really think the B1G Presidents would rather have Pitt over Stanford?
@@troywest7045 I said, “The Big Ten may look to round out at 24 with another team or two out West…”
The SEC has a lot of flagship institutions of each state it’s in.
University of Texas
University of Oklahoma
University of Arkansas
University of Missouri
University of Mississippi (ole miss)
Louisiana State University
University of Alabama
University of Tennessee
University of Kentucky
University of South Carolina
University of Georgia
University of Florida
We would gladly take the University of North Carolina & the University of Virginia.
I can’t see fsu in big ten
My wish: fix conference realignment
Not seeing UCLA @ #10 & Stanford @ #15 in terms of attractiveness, nor Cal @ #22.
The State of Florida brings some of the best recruiting and TV viewership in the nation… the BIG10 would be THE National Conference if they grab them. And the conference would add BIG games… FSU vs OSU or Michigan… BIG draws… who cares about OSU vs Purdue or Rutgers or Indiana or Minnesota… get the picture?
I'm all for FSU and whoever from the ACC, just realize the next media deal is in 2030 and new members get half shares till then.
My prediction for ACC is them adding SDSU, Colorado St, USF, and either Memphis or Tulane
There is no future for the ACC.
@@ChrisSadowski-pp1np how do you figure schools like Boston College, Stanford, Cal, Wake Forest, SMU, etc aren’t going to still be in the ACC? They’re not going anywhere and, if they play their cards right, can only have 4 schools leave
@@brandonh5360 when FSU, Clemson and UNC go to the BIG and SEC, Louisville, Pitt, VT, NCS and Miami will go to the Big 12. Stanford and Cal would go independent in football and everyone else will be regulated to the AAC.
"My prediction for ACC is them adding SDSU, Colorado St, USF, and either Memphis or Tulane"
Why? The ACC has already preemptively backfilled. Smaller regionals make better sense for a Tier 2. The ACC seems to be managing its decline to maintain its current branding.
@@ChrisSadowski-pp1np "when FSU, Clemson and UNC go to the BIG and SEC, Louisville, Pitt, VT, NCS and Miami will go to the Big 12."
Why? The BIG12 would still be seen as a downgrade from the perspective of a ACC remainder.
Notre Dame needs to join a conference. This source you’ve pulled from show the tv viewership: 1) Ohio State 2) Alabama 3) Texas 4) Florida State. Your Chart is not about tv viewership. A reporter asked SEC Commissioner Gregg Sankey: Does the SEC have any interest in FSU & he answered: What conference does not have interest in Florida State? That is up from no. lol. Florida State University is a national brand. ESPN & FOX will most likely be the decision maker. 🍀
I'm sorry, but the University Presidents vote on expansion. Fox can agree to amend the media deal, but that's about it. These Presidents are academic types, who are probably less concerned about a schools TV ratings than they are about AAU status.
It’s been a bit of an open secret that the Big Ten has coveted Virginia, UNC and Georgia Tech. And now that Miami is an AAU school, it makes a lot of sense for the Big Ten, too. I expect when it’s all said and done, and I have no idea when that will be, those four schools will join the Big Ten along with Duke, probably, and perhaps Notre Dame.
They would offer Stanford a spot before they would Duke imo
Stanford probably has Duke beat in every category, except maybe attendance. Those Cali people don't show up for games.
@@troywest7045 DUKE has a blue revenue sport while STANFORD doesn't.
@Depressed Ginger...The 'news' about Notre Dame not getting a bye in the CFP is nothing new. This was negotiated well over a year ago and Notre Dame was fine with never getting a bye, even if ranked in the Top-4. This was the concession ND had to make to maintain their independence in football. With their recent NBC contract extended (terms not disclosed) the dollar discrepancy between the Power-2 and ND has narrowed to a range that ND is comfortable with. That being said, if the ACC collapses, I could see Notre Dame entering the BIG.
Attractiveness list is worthless.
B1G takes Stanford (=deal to Wash & Oregon) and ND (same deal as with ACC, FBall independent, all other sports). 6 B1G games in football with permanent opponents USC & Stanford. Rotate other conference games.
Let’s put the Big 10 wish list in a logical order
1: ND: Pretty obvious.
2: FSU; Noles are an easy second.
3: UNC: Although I suspect SEC.
4: Clemson: Same as UNC.
5: Miami: Likely FSU travel partner
6: Stanford: But Rejected already .
7: UVA: Public Flagship but Stanford “Lite.”
8: GT: They do have Atlanta and academics.
9: BC: But only their hockey team.
10: The rest of the ACC: They have no shot:
B10 Targets Ranked:
1. Notre Dame
2. FSU
3. Miami
4. UNC
5. Clemson
6. Duke
7. UVA/VT
I was with you until you snuck in VT
FSU and Clemson don’t meet the requirements
Clemson at 5 is crazy. Clemson is easily #3 if FSU is #2
@@zachellenburg5738 for the SEC they would be but not for the B1G.
We won’t join big 10 we are mad at them.
Fox wants FSU, money talks
You have zero clue ginger ask gilligan for help
The Big 10 should be Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Period.
Conferences need to go away. The Big 10 is not ten teams and the B12 is up to more than 12. Why not just merge interested teams into one big affiliation of teams to maybe 50 or 60 teams? Set up the rules and scheduling format and stop all this nonsense about who gets which teams. If ND wants to be independent go play non-affiliated teams and do its own thing.
i hate this bring back the pac 12
Your analysis is just awful. Duke 😂😂😂😂😂 is this a joke? This dude sucks off the SEC. Sec gets FSU and Clemson. Big gets garbage.
