    I wish they had the same system like the Mexican Pro Soccer League, the two worst performing teams after a period of 3-4 years get kicked out to the lower league and the two best performing teams in the same time period get to move up. This motivates teams to try hard not to be terrible! This is a genius idea!

    • @cherrycolareal
      @cherrycolareal 9 месяцев назад +4

    Jacksonville St. did well in 2023 in the inaugural FBS season in CUSA while Sam Houston (another CUSA team promoted to FBS) struggled last year. Then you have an incoming Kennesaw State team that has been struggling in FCS that is coming to CUSA in 2024 that I believe will continue to struggle while you also have a dominate Delaware team that is also coming to CUSA in 2025 that could make an impact in FBS.

    I don’t think anyone should be required to drop down a level. If the school want their athletic teams to compete on the FBS level and they’re willing to pay for it, they should be welcome to do it. Now, that said, the National Championship level schools should have a required budget of $X and so you 95 schools, eliminate conference alignments altogether, computerize schedules across the country, and have at it.

      Sorry but no. As a current university of Akron student. They absolutely NEED to go to FCS. Akron is unbearable to watch. They nearly lost to Morgan State this year. They haven’t been even remotely competitive against other MAC competition for years.

    Unfortunately most of these teams are being carried elsewhere. New Mexico has a pretty good baseball team so there’s no reason they’d move down, same goes for Texas State(if Texas State wasn’t in the Sunbelt then 90% of the time it would be a given that Louisiana would win the softball/baseball conference every year, there are other good teams they just aren’t consistent enough every year). There’s many other sports that go into determining what schools stay and go but most of the sunbelt ones.

    Umass, definitely! And I don't want any more FCS teams moving to the FBS no matter how good they are. Too many teams have left the FCS and there are too many silly FBS bowl games.

    … bro New Mexico St went 10-4 and even killed Auburn. So you said they went 7-6(wrong) and because the school has a scandal you say demote them to FCS… what lol?
    Texas St also balled this past season going 8-5 and beat Baylor.
    Right now for the last few years the top FCS programs have been moving up to FBS. In CFB lot of teams have bad stretches but randomly can become good again. That’s what makes CFB fun with Cinderella stories or miracle comebacks.
