- People in the US want big vehicles, big trucks and SUVs and the sales numbers prove it. But, what happens when you take one of the best selling trucks like the Ford F-150 and turn it in a luxury vehicle. Welcome to the 2019 Lincoln Navigator. There are other full-size vehicles from Chevy like the Silverado and Suburban and of course the Lexus LX. This new direction from Lincoln and Ford carries a high price tag, will people be willing to pay?

The suburban is slightly bigger and it’s been in production since the 50s
@@RestrictedHades
The Suburban is an extended version of the Tahoe.
The Navigator comes in 2 versions as well, the "Navigator" and "Navigator-L".
The Navigator-L is the extended version of the Navigator.
The Suburban was introduced in 1939.

What about the Aviator?
this is the american car market in one car.
Nah, that would be the Suburban
@@StrikeFromTheSkies hmmmm
You ain't kidding
@@StrikeFromTheSkies the Suburban is the Walmart to the Navigator's Target.
@@headcoatee Target is where the hotter soccer moms shop. Tuesdays are "Ponytail and Ball Cap" days.
I own the new Navigator black label trim. After 6 months none of the black piano plastic has scratched, and is rather finger print resistant. I keep a micro fiber cloth in the center console and the car looks brand new. Plus Lincoln gives me free interior/exterior professional detail every year. The vehicle is absolutely amazing.
I like how the "Goose" identifies some of the companies who manufacture different components of the vehicle (the radio, infotainment, HUD, etc.). I think people tend to forget that no automaker builds every single part of its vehicles in the same factory, therefore a secondary or third party vendor is often responsible for a specific car brand being labeled as problematic.
And it's good that they are. I'd rather trust an audio company designing my audio system than some generic engineer.
Koenigsegg
"this thing can do pretty much what a mini van can do without the stigma". Wow, what a loaded statement.
I'd take a minivan over this any day.
$40,000-$50,000 is a lot to pay to avoid a little stigma
@@savagegeese Totes could see you in a 05' Chrysler Town & Country..Though Tonya won't like the manual push down seats.

Honda Odyssey's are so extremely underrated. I "inherited" my moms 2003 odyssey in highschool and it was hands down the best car in my friends group. Comfortably could fit 5 friends, best road tripper car ever, and the rear bench folds down, exposing nearly a queen size bed's worth of space
My soul is telling me I need this, so I must have one of these.
Finally a Lincoln that is beautiful again. It is nice to see such an iconic brand make good decisions. Well done Lincoln. Cant wait for the Aviator. Stunning.
Test drove one and was impressed. Very quite, great interior, smooth, powerful, stoped and cornered very well,,,,,but I bought a Raptor instead plus a Honda Si, got two rides for the same price.
If I still had kids I definitely would have the Navigator.
99% sure that all the shiny bits in the Navigtor are real metal. You said they were not. The stuff that looks like wood is real wood. You need to check out the black label if you want to be impressed.
people are weird. they say shiny metal is cheap. so i could put silver in the interior and it would still be cheap?
Its cheap though
Lol Tim Harris triggered Ford exec
I've already seen the Black Label Navigator in person. the stupid dashboard iPad is why I wouldn't buy it
Gotta do it like lexus. Put bamboo up in that bitch
Love the adult finger action when pressing the seat fold down buttons
Not one of the seats when folded line up. What do you do with that big center console in the middle of the luggage area when seats are folded? What an electronic nightmare. 👎
Everything this guy doesn’t like about the interior is the reason I bought one.,
You didn’t buy !! You financed !!
Abcdedghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz L
I second what the OP said. The shiny "actual metal" (not plastic), the "actual wood," the seats, the controls... those are what attract me to it. The same stuff that attracts me to the Mark V.
You mean ford has stepped up their game ford owns Lincoln
It's so bad and cheezy that it's good and cheezy, like Las Vegas.
ive been looking at this car ever since last year and im convinced its the best of its kind
I've driven one today and I have to say it is amazing, all the comments below have not ever been in this truck to truly judge it.
Tonya sounds ratchet af

This destroys an Escalade inside and out. Thank you for the informative review
Its simple, but I absolutely love your driving impression intro shot with the camera that swings into the driver seat. Looks awesome and makes me smile every time.
This is the perfect vehicle for going through a Wendy’s drive thru.
A great review. Honestly, This beast is handsome! Eventhough if the Escalade had the upper arm in sales, Lincoln blew it out the park with this one! Quality, Features, Looks, etc. you name it! To me they are back and I can't wait for the Aviator. While they're at it make the new Continental RWD with suicide doors and a v8. Might as well bring back the towncar as the ultimate flagship, Even the Mustang based lux coupe! Other than that, Love ya Lincoln!!
handsome? Wow, think it may be the ugliest car I've seen in a while
Edit: Not trying to be mean, seems like it would be a good way to carry 6 adults, comfy etc - just on looks I do not want!
The Escalade is trash compared to the Navigator. GM cheaps out on the interior from the second row on back with crappy plastics and carpet and it looks and hardly feels any different than a run of mill Suburban.
I'm two videos in to your series, here, and I must say: I love the way you thoroughly review these vehicles from a place of true adoration. Being a gear head myself, I appreciate the depth of your reviews. The direction, the edits, the sound... Everything is executed masterfully.
Dankeschoen. God bless, and I pray that your channel makes incredible strides.
Thanks for finally reviewing this car, Mark! Your videos are amazing! Keep up the great work! ;)
Driven a few at my job and it really does put the Escalade on notice! Drives much smaller than it is.
Your the only review, I’ve heard gripe about the interior look. Looks great to me.
I had to subscribe. I have loved cars since I was born and you make videos like you’re talking to me and only me. I feel so special.
You’re amazing. Thank you for what you do.
Man they should have given him a Black Label Navi. It’s leather is on another level.
This is the greatest channel on RUclips
What a wonderful strong thorough presentation presented in a soft way. Excellent editing with great commentary. Thanks for posting
all these full of quality reviews.. this man is something more than doug
Between the Buried and Me? Whoah! Not something I'd every expect to see in a car review. Excellent taste in metal.
Beautiful content as always and amazing attention to detail. Thanks man
Thumbs up for the good filming and videography 👍🏻
Great review! I just bought one 2 days ago!! Love this review your an amazing cinematographer!!

I love this suv! Definitely need this for my transportation business for my High in clients!!💯✊🏽❤️
This guy seems like he's kinda upset that he can't find anything really wrong with this beautiful truck. Lol. It's a dream luxury car/truck. Nothing "should" be wrong with it....
I think he just doesn't like how cheezy it is,
Just purchased a brand new one and I love it
Excellent review. Thank you.
Thanks for your informative videos. You do an excellent job of helping to educate consumers like me.
It looks 90s era huge.
RK rk yeah like a 90s suburban
It looks like it belongs in an R.Kelly music video.
Like a 90's Escalade.
I worked valet on long island in '97 and parked a navigator from this era and it was huge too. This new model reminded me of that
Nah more like the 60s or 70s. Although this does remind of the excursions in the early 2000s
Well I thoroughly enjoyed your opinions and honesty with this vehicle, it's definitely worth a closer look as it's a huge comfy people mover....
Well done bro! 😎
I went on a test drive just this past Saturday and I have to say I'm impressed. It felt good driving it. It roomy quite and smooth. I'm going to try to convince my wife to like this over the Range rover.
Christopher Stevenson long term reliability it’s a deal breaker for Jaguar - Land Rover
At that price range, for this kind of vehicle, I don't think anything would sway me from the almighty Toyota Land Cruiser. It's also overbuilt (likely moreso), with extreme emphasis on 4x4 capability and long term reliability/dependability. Has features like a traditional parking brake handle, gearshift lever, and a N/A V8... because shit like that is proven to still be working in 25 years.
Land Cruiser is a great off road vehicle but it is not as family friendly as Navigator.
Land Cruiser in America starts at about $80,000. So you have to make a decision which matters most (comfort, luxury and prestige) Vs (Comfort and off road capabilities).
They are both nice but only one of them is an American.
Always excellent content
Loving the camera work!
All these infotainment screens are starting to look like an afterthought. Like someone just slapped an iPad on the dash and called it a day. Not attractive at all.
That, and piano gloss...fking hell...
I agree, that was very tacky, iPad on the dash, they could at least made it fit into the dash
I wish they offered a delete option.
Personally speaking, I think that is much better than the boring in-dashboard design that most manufacturers go with. It adds a bit of depth, in my opinion anyway.
@@isaiahwallace05 me 2
US car manufacturers still don't seem to understand luxury interiors.
A crap tonne of plasti-chrome and piano gloss black plastic does not equal to a luxurious interior.
driftbro agreed, but I don’t think the Germans are doing interiors much better, personally. Never liked the round vents and flow-y center stack look in the Mercedes, I hate the new Audi interior too with the giant shifter, the Mmi controls in front of the shifter and the infotainment screen that’s stuck front and center on the dash. BMW was clean, if not super boring, but the new 3 looks okay, I can’t really judge it yet. Volvo (as long as they refresh with more physical buttons) would tie for me with Porsche.
@@constructionbootgazer Yeah, I agree. Some of German luxury car manufacturers seem to be trying too hard to make their interior's more luxurious. The current BMW interiors look very boring and IMO the steering wheel of the new 3-series looks kind of strange.
I'd never thought I would be saying this, but pugeot, recently has been doing interiors really well, in some places even better than the Germans
@@jyotiradityaguleria907 The newer Citroen models have really nice interiors too, but they are not a really good choice if you live far away from Europe because getting parts and finding someone who knows how to fix them is going to be really difficult.
They’re playing to a purchasing audience who can’t intuit the difference.
If you take the front bumper off and get a 4" lift and 44" tyres can it run over a prius?
Also can I get it bullet proofed for when I'm driving through the hood with the hud on?
So many people go overboard when reviewing anything and try too hard to be wacky/"hilarious".
You're chill and have normal tone. Well done sir.
Anyone every tell you that you look a little like Dana White (UFC)?
Drove one of these as a rental in Colorado; went to the top of Pikes Peak with no issue with 4 adults and two children. Everything in this review is on point.
What new car doesn't do that ?
@@FahimMotoGP the comment is more about affirming his review not about hauling 4 adults and 2 children. ;p
“Back massager”… This guy is low key hilarious in every review. Love it.
Awesome review.
I love the idea of this vehicle. I do not love GDI turbos though. All have issues with carbon buildup on the back of the valves, and I haven’t seen any reviewer noting that Lincoln or others have installed catch cans on the oil breathers to reduce crusty carbon that absolutely will cause missing in 20-30k miles. Only those engines with GDI + SPFI will keep crusty under wraps. My dream Navigator would be if they listened to SG, matte the chrome, and then listened to me and installed a NA V8 TIVCT capable of Otto and Atkinson cycles depending on throttle input, added a 100+kw motor in the trans with sufficient battery. I absolutely love the push button shifter, although I do think Lincoln should put it to the left of the driver to prevent idiot passengers from shifting into L. Desoto and Chrysler did it in the 50’s and 60’s with cables, springs, and levers- so life is full circle now. I do lament the loss of a mechanical emergency brake. It’s not just a parking brake Ford... remember?
Another great review Goose, I live in the UK so will never see one of these unless I watch the US Ambassador ‘s motorcade!
6:55 You about killed me w/that "Tonya" joke.
Best moment of the video is when he mentions charging a "back massager" and puts it in air quotes 😂😂
LOL!!! “All the ashes of your dead pets...”
love the jackets you are wearing! We are deciding from this lincoln or the Cadillac escalade..
I like that chrome trim. Kinda giving you that Range Rover or rolls feel on the interior with it. I don’t care about the sun bouncing off it.
TY Mr. Goose, Very cool
Second.. Great review Mark.
That vid screen behind you makes you look like you’re walking super fast. 😂😂
I just bought mine today. I have a 2012 model and am keeping it. I have only had 3 issues in teh lifetime of that vehicle. I love this one even though I have only had it for 3 hours. :-) I have done a ton of research. I thought I wanted the Escalade both in 2012 and this time but still ended up with the Navigator. Especially when comparing the 3rd row seating between the Cadillac and the Lincoln!
I give you a lot of credit, I wouldn't even want to sit in that thing long enough to do the review.
i haven't had the chance to drive one yet but we have had a couple come in for service at my shop and i think they are a huge step up compared to the last generation. they do have a TSB out for them that if the a/c is getting intermittently warm at times that we have to replace the whole HVAC system in the truck since it uses R1234yf refrigerant and apparently some of the earlier navigators and expeditions have it contaminated. thankfully we haven't seen any yet and we are in Florida.
Can you post more as u gain experience with the navigator? Especially vs the 2020 Suburban.thx
Navigators are everywhere in Central Florida
thanks mr. goose. that warranty is pretty awesome. probably sick of losing sales to 100k warranty carmakers
As my first vehicle was a 1976 Lincoln Town Coupe', you have given me a well informed detail of this vehicle. When I first saw this new Navigator, I was at the ready to jump in. Yet, I'll have to wait until they get their act together for the "old school" drivers who can have diamonds cut in the back seat while in motion and "real" effects in the cabin. [Only the old Lincoln driver/owners know what I'm talking about.]
They get to have their own volume nobs in back and their own piano black too. I have only one plasti-chrome trim around center shifter in Ram and it sure blinds me quite often. All other trims are like aluminum look, i wonder how that would look in Durango or this Navigator
I'm from the other side of the globe, and I LOVE IT !!!!
My man was so bad ass till he put his glasses on .
“Back massager” killed me
Hey man! Didn't know you were from the Ames area! I've got some great hookups at the dealerships in the area!
What style Patagonia is that, that you're wearing at the end during the final thoughts (green with a hood)?
I took it out for a test drive, and to be honest, it was a great drive like you said but I think you were really harsh on the interior. I thought the interior was beautiful. Thanks for the review!
That title is genius, had to like before the video started
I'm surprised they don't have a flip down tailgate with a seat.
Nice dealership. That warrantee would be the kicker for me.
I drove an expedition at a Ford test drive thing at a car show a while back. I am the furthest from a Ford guy, but it was pretty impressive, lot of power and pretty damn comfortable - auto start stop was horrible however
By far the best suv out there is truly a family entertainment on wheels
Are there hand made doilies to go along with the “cross stitching”?
so you can still go off road with it right like the Lexus LX 570?
Yo, I saw that BTBAM Voice of Trespass on the radio, fuck yeah dude!
Geese!! Please review the Lincoln MKC. Very interested in your thoughts on that vehicle. Thanks.
Thanks.
We love our 2018. Fingerprinst and other things are minor issues. Ours goes to a detail shop once a week, so if you can afford to buy A Nav., then keeping it and paying for it to look new is not an issue. And you can get the black plastic chrome if the nickle chrome bothers your sensitive eyes lol. We've already ordered our 2020 model. Can't wait !
Good job
Personally I really like all the chrome trims. It really adds a nice upscale and elegance to it.
Just did a test drive. Didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. There are very few options if you want a car that will carry 6+ people, a giant dog, and still fit luggage and bulky baby gear. Navigator was my favorite, then Expedition, then Yukon/Escalade/Suburban. The GM cars don’t have as many features - less legroom in rows 2/3, no parking assistance, no auto hold braking at red lights, tiny sunroof...the little things add up. It doesn’t look as nice as some other cars, but still way more luxurious than the Expedition or Yukon.
I am not a fan of Lincoln but I still liked your video just because you are the best reviewer.
Thanks for the info. Im now going to buy a chev 2500 top of line
You buy it because you CAN. Simply, it's a luxury car.
Do you think that having a built-in screen is better than having one lamely stuck on there like a tablet? (for example 9th gen accord Vs 10th gen)
I’m only commenting on the awesomeness of the Between the Buried And Me song that was playing on the audio screen. 🤘🤘
As long as it picks up single moms the access interior gloss is forgiven.
Cant wait when these are 5,000$ in two years
That won't happen.
Not even close...
You can get one for $35,000 in three years. Lincolns have some of the worst depreciation in the world.
15k and gas gonna be 6 a gallon too
@Just your average Joe bruh we already pay almost 7 here. Luxury SUVs and full size trucks out number cars. It will be 15 years old and sell for 16 000 dollars.
I love this car.
I hope you can review the face lifted s class
Every navigator i see in the road has bubbling peeling paint on the rear lift gate- what’s up with that?
Would love to have a go in this, but I'm guessing we won't be seeing these here anytime soon. One thing that kind of doesn't come through in a video is does it feel like a finished product, or has it been rushed in to the market?
This car is a beauty
I'm sorry but the title of this video should have been called "Deep Conditions with Savagegeese".
creative way to show off the buttons in the rear lol
