As if you didn't compare the walking down the hallway to the operating room, that scene is iconic across both games.
The giraffe scene was awesome, there were less of them but the scene was still awesome.

I'm pretty upset they didn't make the hallway similar to the game. Those hallway have an important role in Season 2 (Abby's trauma)
Hopefully they use the same hallway in her nightmares next season 😢
The acting in the show is amazing, but the acting in the game is just a masterpiece! Incredible how you can sense all these emotions coming from a CGI face

@@bryann1239 Body movements are all Mocap, Facial Expressions are not, They were all animated by hand and video recordings of their faces were used as a reference

@@Rsmith420 they ruined the great stealth sequences. Also they completly wrecked the beauty of the game such as the beautiful university sequence.
@@TheViolentPacifist999 "ruined" is pretty strong. Especially when you're comparing different mediums. This, for my opinion, is the best medium adaptation of anything that I've seen in movies or theater.
It's pretty amazing how similar the finale of the show is to the finale of the game. It was really well done!
Knowing what is about to come is both extremely exciting and depressing.
Part 2 could probably be Season 2 and 3

Show was awesome but anyone that played the game knows those performances were masterpieces. Actors in the show did great but in the game all those moments hit harder by miles. The show was definitely shining example of how to adapt source material.
This was unique in that we’ve never had a video game adaptation faithful enough to the source material that we can directly compare the performances like this. Even Uncharted is too different.
It's really perfect for those who don't play videogames. Even if you don't have the context from playing, it's still an amazing story.
The show and Arcane are great for videogames as a whole. Hopefully it spawns more interest in productions ACTUALLY adapting stuff accurately. Just like what happened with movies, if stuff like this keeps coming then we could see the actual space improve. These stories and their artists might actually get the recognition they deserve, games could be taken more seriously, developers workers rights better protected and actual legislation similar to that of the film industry. Maybe I'm an optimist, but this has been the pattern for so many past art forms

Maybe it has less to do with it not hitting as hard and more to do with the fact that you’re seeing it a second time so its less likely to have the same effect of you seeing it for the first time as what you did in the game.
Im willing to bet it was just as impactful emotionally for those that never played the game before.
Could not disagree more. The show's actors did a better job MOST of the time.
If by some chance that The Last of Us wins the Emmy for Best Drama (aka TV Series of the Year), it will be a win, Not just for HBO, but a win for Naughty Dog, for Sony, for Playstation, but most of all, a win for Games and Gamers everywhere, with newfound Respect.
Because video games will no longer be looked down upon as nothing but electronic _Toys,_ meant for little kids, but as a reputable storytelling medium, that can heavily rival Movies and Television.

The giraffe scene in the show is from the game but also partly inspired by Jurassic Park's brachiosaurus sneezing scene where Grant with the kids

The music in the end is amazing
The game felt a lot more than 6-9 hours unlike the show so it feels like we went through more with those actors, that's why it feels stronger than the show.

They did but it's doing a renovation right now so it's in scafolding. They seem to have used that instead of as it usually is 😅 its a shame. Wished they'd gotten more mountains too.

Game has better pacing it's not limited by episode length
That’s because of all the filler like walking around and stuff. The show tried to do that with some dialogue but it is very hard to do so. Ether way it’s still a great show.
This comparison actually made me cry a little 😯
The delivery of lines feel way more natural in a game. It feels like they're trying to make sure they get their lines right in the show. Not terrible by any means, but seeing it side by side, really puts it into perspective

Actually in the game, the voice actors literally acted out their scenes for motion capture as well. That's why the game scenes look so authentic and real.

It is the first time they kept the original scenes and dialogues to stay true to the game! Not like movies that are based in videogames like Resident Evil, that could have been like this.

This is the ending of the the original game. There is a second season coming, which we can only assume will be an adaptation of TLOU2

The show is missing a lot of the action like killing the infected but yeah most of the parts are accurate
The acting in the game is phenomenal Troy & Ashleys chemistry is undenieble, you can feel the emotions more in the game they take actual breaths between lines doesn't sound so robotic and straight read off the paper
