Good review! I bought these headphones the other week and I really love them. It's true about the narrow ear padding, and it does get a bit hot and cramped... but I find them really comfortable and they certainly don't hurt my ears like on-ear headphones do (which means I'm able to wear these for hours on end). I do find there's a bit of a hiss with the ANC switched on, but it's negligible once you're playing music (I find the padding alone does a really good job of blocking out noise). Sound quality is great - I much prefer this to the bass-heaviness of the Sony XM3. It only took me a few minutes to get acquainted with the manual controls on the headset, and the fact that they're manual controls was a big selling point for me - I just don't have the patience for learning how to use touchpads on the more premium headsets. Perhaps the two things I don't like is that the headset doesn't make it clear when ANC is switched on, and also, while you can technically have two devices connected to the headset via Bluetooth, I find that switching between the devices isn't always so seamless, especially when the two devices are in close proximity. Aside from that, absolutely no regrets buying these headphones! I've been a fan of Sennheiser for a long time - I find that their 'cheaper' models are still well built.
I’m actually watching this wearing a pair of 450BTs and, I must say, I love them! I bought the, for music on the go but, due to lockdown and now being in isolation, I’m not venturing too far. However, I’ve also been using these for work (customer service, call centre), as they are much better than the gaming headset I thought would be perfect (and because my original work headset needs some Quick Disconnect adapter). The customers can hear me so clearly and I them. Plus it means I’m not tethered to the PC if a parcel comes, etc. I’d highly recommend these. I used to have the 4.40BTs but lost them (lost pre-lockdown - probably at work or left in a taxi), and they’re definitely a step up.
Smashi not an in line one but I can take calls on it. I’m actually using it for working from home as my call centre headset has a weird “quick disconnect” end as opposed to 3.5mm, lightning or USB C and, between starting WFH and buying these, I bought a Rig gaming headset that has began falling apart. My customers can hear me pretty well (the line itself is awful, not the headphones), and I can comfortably sit with these on for many hours at a time.
I bought this headphones recently. When attending the calls I am listening the minute sounds in my surroundings loudly into my ears like knocking table, keyboard typing..it's like am in empty room can listen everysound
What can you say about the outwards sound leakage? If it's not too much trouble, at what percentage can you have the volume before you hear something whilst the earcups are covered by your hands? It's sound leakage is supposedly one of the best among the over-ear headphones.
I’ve been using mine for a little more than 2 years now and I have to say they’ve been great. Only had to change the ear cushions a few months ago as they tore up a bit. Cost me ~10 euros. Other than that I’m extremely satisfied with the headset. Battery life is like the day I bought it. Plus you can still use it as it’s charging via the USB c port. The only negative imo is the non-standard 2.5 mm jack. It is a bit frustrating to not be able to use a standard aux cable. Especially if you’ve lost the one that comes with the package.
I just bought the HD458BT, they're pretty much the same as these on the video and they're a major win for me. They're very comfortable, the padding doesn't bother me at all, idk what they were complaining about it. They cost me 99€ on sale and I don't see why people are spending 300+ on other ''high quality headphones'' since these have everything you need (they're from a company with experience, have excellent build quality, Bluetooth 5.0, clear sound with low frequencies, long lasting battery, ANC, 3.5 input, etc
I have the 4.40 bt (the non ANC version) and recently bought some QC 35 2s and my main complaint was definitely the top head band and the eat cup fit but the sound quality was amazing and I would definitely recommend as a cheaper alternative
After using them for almost a year I can say my ears got used to the pads so I can feel no discomfort whatsover. They can stay connected to both my android phone and my windows laptop no problem, which is great. Their ANC works great too, listening to electronic ambient music using them e.g. on train is bliss. The pads sticking firmly to your head help noise cancellation greatly as well. One more thing that works great here and maybe could've been mentioned in this vid is the connection cord. Which obviously helps when your headphones battery goes too low OR you want to listen to music in a bit better quality. Some bitrate/frequency levels are only available when you listen with the connection cord plugged in. Even though the APTX codec works great here. Cheers!
I've been using these (or the previous version, I'm not sure. They look identical) for a couple of years, and in general I really like them. I got them for £90 on an amazon deal, so I got a fantastic deal and they've been fantastic for the amount of time they've lasted. The bluetooth is good, they sound good, battery life is great - I charge them every few days and the announcements for battery are, as you said, vague but its almost always on the high end of the range. The proprietary headphone connector when not using bluetooth is good - the screw in part means you can't yank them out, but I suppose it makes it harder to replace if it breaks. The earcups have also got a little bigger over the extended use. They're still intact, if with a few scratches, and they're pretty adjustable. However, the controls are very irriating. The pause button is so annoying - too easy to skip tracks, or go back, and is hard to find quickly if you need to pause. The noise cancelling is ok, but not as good as the Sony MDX-1000 I've compared them to (though for a third of the price you can't complain), but it seems to have gone down in effectiveness over the years. The random "12 hours playtime" voice when fully charged has given made me jump a few times. You also can't see just by looking at them whether the noise cancelling is on, though it is fairly easy to work out by listening. I agree with volume - the base volume level on my phone is fairly loud, but it is still usable. Sometimes it is a bit slow to connect, but that's probably the devices I'm connecting to rather than the headphones. In general, I'd say go for them, especially if you see them on a deal. They're great for the money, and if you are travelling on aeroplanes regularly (not at the moment hopefully) and want the noise cancelling to be better, if you can stretch to a high end pair it is probably worth it. Feel free to ask about them if you want, people of youtube.
Is there some kind of hiss or beeb when you aren't playing anything but its still on? My headphones now have some kinde of hiss and it drives me crazy.
I have the sony xm4 and the Sennheiser hd4.50 ; I love the controls on the Sennheiser. Audio signature is classic Sennheiser, well balanced, the quality improves a lot if you go wired. The Sony xm4 is hands down way better. But, this pair holds its own and I do switch between them every now and then. It's a solid pair of headphones.
3:54 @Tech Spurt the volume fluctuations could be due to bit depth and sample rate of your device? Having this on a high setting on your PC (e.g., 24 bit 192000 [studio quality]) may be causing this?
How hard is it to put wider holes for your ears and make them feel comfy or put a bit off metal in there. There are 10£ gun noise cancelling headsets that are more comfortable than most brands
Great review! My husband bought me a pair for my 40th birthday to use for work. The grey rings that are on each side of the earcup where you adjust the headphones cracked. I took them back and they were replaced. They same thing happened to my second pair, and I have also sent those ones back. I am really disappointed because these headphones sound great and fit well. Now, I have to look for another set of good headphones all over again. Not happy.
All the reviews fail to say that when on calls, the microphone lets you hear your own voice and your surroundings, which is pretty bad for shared home offices or loud enviroments of any kind. If you plan to use them on said places, make sure you have an external microphone to make it the default recording device on Windows thus avoiding the "pass through feature".
I bought the 458bt's for a equivalent 70 pounds, a steal deal. But for a higher cost I don't know if they are that worth it. The sound is really great. Would recommend without considering the price.

fluctuating volume might be because you have multiple devices paired to it? Mine is paired to both PC and Phone, listening to music wirelessly from PC : when notifications come from the phone, music volumes goes down and notification sound sometimes doesn’t come through, depends on sound length, just got used to it, if the volume suddenly goes down, I just check my phone to see if I got something
I just got these and have been experiencing a clicking/creaking sound in the right cup if I move while wearing them. It does it when both turned off and on so I'm sure it's mechanical. Curious if anyone else is experiencing the same?
Mic comes with unsolvable issue that it is picking up surround sounds. So during phone calls you only hear yourself and surround sounds while it is really hard to hear the person you are talking with. I own one and I offer you to find another device.
I really hope youtubers start paying closer attention when mentioning/covering bluetooth audio delay as best is Aptx LL (old technology but 34-40ms audio delay) vs Aptx adaptive (newer codec which combines aptx LL & aptx HD with slower 80ms audio delay and isn't backwards compatible with Aptx LL).

I just picked these headphones up and quite like them. Very good sound on my phone. I was not able to get the "Smart Control" app to recognize my headphones, it said in the fine print my headphones are before a certain time so, "too old"? I just downloaded a separate equalizer app which works fine.
Hello im à follower from France thanks for your review. Very clear. Would like to know if i have the choice between this cask and Sony ch720 and Sony ULT and jbl live 770nc Which one would you recommend ? Thanks a lot !!!!
Not a bad pair of headphones. Sound quality okay, if not a bit quiet, but the ANC is utterly useless on a plane as I found out yesterday. Now I just have to decide whether to get the Bose 700's or the Sony XM4's.
Just wondering how is the volume... I did checked a few of these (beats bose etc) but my 20£ headphone is way way way louder the all of them. Apparently there's a EU safety volume limit on them..??
Do these have dual pairing/ multi-point connectivity (e.g., connect to both laptop & phone, normally listen to laptop audio but automatically switching to phone when it starts ringing)?
these Sennheiser's HD 450BT's are 129 ( Canadian ) 95 ( USD ) for black friday....i just need a set of headphones for watching netflix and my ipad for movies and utube....the noise cancellation and calls are not important but good sound is ....would these be a good buy ?....cheers from Canada
2 weeks to figure out the buttons? did you even read the manual? it takes about 1 minute to do that - i've the same pair of headphones and i will agree on the narrow earpads (idk about the head padding as i'm not bald) but other than that these were a great purchase, excellent battery life, fantastic sound quality (not that bass heavy unless you tinker the EQs), mediocre microphone but decent enough to have pick up a phone call and have a conversation, and a solid build quality even if it's all plastic
Excellent review! I'm listening to this on a pair of these headphones and let me just say that they are very comfortable and sound great considering the price. In Australia their RRP is $299 but I got them for $165 because they were on special for an EOFY sale. I like the simple app with eq control and the headphones were easy to set up. It was also nice that they were almost fully charged without me having to wait 2 hours for them to charge initially before I could use them. I nearly went for a pair of Sony 710 as they were also on special for an even cheaper $149 down from $299 but I've always found Sony headphones to be too bass heavy, just like their Bluetooth speakers and the HD450BT has a 2 year warranty as opposed to the 1 year warranty on the Sony.
Hi Chris can I suggest you get your hands on a pair of MU6 Space 2 ANC headphones. Just acquired a pair and they're really awesome. Rival Sony MX 1000 3 and Bose.
I need a set of headphones for music, for video editing and for audio capture (whilst filming) hence the need for a wired option! These look good! Anything around this price point I've missed?
These things are amazing. (You have to use the cable that you got with these headphones). If you use a good amp these headphones actually sound superb,
Anyone can explain, why it randomly turn off?I have this but I was struggling keeping it on.Its on my ears but it says, turn off eventhough im actively using it.
I honestly have had nothing but problems with these headphones. A few months in, it was making a high pitched sound. After getting them "fixed", 1 month later the same problem. I sent them in again and now they won't pair with my devices. When I use them with a computer for a zoom meeting then always cut out. I've had them a little over a year at this point. I wouldn't suggest anyone purchases these headphones.
I'm trying to get headphones for my home studio. I am comparing these to Beyerdynamic 770. I record my vocals and covers. Would this be a better choice?
My son got these for Christmas and the left speaker doesn’t have sound when using bluetooth but does when usung the 3.5m jack. Others have had this issue too by the looks of it. Anyone else ever experienced this?
I think you want more clarity to your sound when gaming and less base. Maybe SteelSeries or Razer (or any other gaming brand for that matter) have cheap wireless headphones?
These sound significantly weird once you screen record with mic switched-on while connected to an iOS device. I purchased these considering your review and iam truly disappointed . Would appreciate if you look into this.
For this price I am quite disappointed. They give good sound, true, but also headphones in price range 60-70€ are doing the same. ANC is poor, it is better with chins ones with price range of 50-60€, and additionally they have in call this ambient sound that you can not turn off (I would at least expect that it can be turned off). Overall I would expect for this price better ANC and no ambient sound in talk. AAAhhh, yes, allmost forgot, material-plastic is good (if you are buying head phones for plastic)
25-30 hours wtf. I have headphones from soundcore (life Q10) that are 40 hours and they are around 40 pounds. Hd audio that is actually good and pads that don't clap your ears (I have massive ears!). Sennheiser Step Up your game!!! No wonder that I haven't bought any since 2015.
@@andremp1634 it just so happens to have some of the best reviews for wireless headphones. 😏Sure they not good if you wear glasses but any headphones that's don't have a cutout for glasses are not good for that🤣👍 I'm still as pleased as the day I bought them😁 you can always order them try them out and send them back😉
these headphone are a real pain to pair with a laptop. Also after a after 20 or 30 minutes or so they really start to heart your ears. Also ! if u have them on your phone bluetooth list and use them on your computer, you'll get some annoing pauses everytime you get a notification but not the sound of those notifications.
I got these on sale and saved a ton of money! I do have an issue with the volume. I find I have to turn this way up to hear them almost 3 times more than a cheaper pair I have. I came here hoping to find a solution to this. I also find it only seems to charge well on my PC and not so much on an external plug-in charger for some unknown reason. Also, as most headphones do excessive wear does tend to hurt your ears after a bit from the pressure. Still better than my old pair but I only paid $45 for them. Still works, just not cordless. Oh, and last but not least. The noise cancellation I find to be Awesome and makes these priceless
They do almost everything well, except the BT was upgraded to Alexa in the SE. Yes, everything is done well, except music. The sound quality for music is just unlistenable.

I’m actually watching this wearing a pair of 450BTs and, I must say, I love them!
I bought the, for music on the go but, due to lockdown and now being in isolation, I’m not venturing too far. these Sennheiser's HD 450BT's are 129 ( Canadian ) 95 ( USD ) for black friday....i just need a set of headphones for watching netflix and my ipad for movies and utube....the noise cancellation and calls are not important but good sound is ....would these be a good buy ?....cheers from Canada
Do you need to keep the equalizer app open for the sound to be equalized?
Just bought this headphone and would like to know what’s the review for this ?
Great vid
Where did u buy that controller from ( the one u used in the realme x50 review )
Hi Chris can I suggest you get your hands on a pair of MU6 Space 2 ANC headphones. Just acquired a pair and they're really awesome. Rival Sony MX 1000 3 and Bose.
Can anybody tell me if they bleed out sound? Like if I'm listening to high volume can the person next to me hear it?
they are now 100 euro on amazon
Why didn't you provide a sound sample from the mic?
I need a set of headphones for music, for video editing and for audio capture (whilst filming) hence the need for a wired option! These look good! Anything around this price point I've missed?
These things are amazing. (You have to use the cable that you got with these headphones). If you use a good amp these headphones actually sound superb,
If you have questions i will try to answer them
@@jasperboer9854 they seem to fit my needs. Did you look at anything else with the same spec?
@@simonrhys samson but they are wired (not samsung but samson)
@@jasperboer9854 okay mate. I'll have a look. The fact that these do both is a real plus however!
Are they good for bass to watch movies?
These or soundcore life q30 for noise cancelling.. which one is better please.
Is there dimensions of the ear cups somewhere?
Sennheiser probably was like, 6h of podcast or 2h of blowing your head off with bass at high volume xD
What is the difference between those and Special Edition?
Can you connect them with your pc and your phone at the same time?
Yes
These are the best value aptx low latency headphones I could find
Are they balanced well like an Audiotechnica?
I'm trying to get headphones for my home studio. I am comparing these to Beyerdynamic 770. I record my vocals and covers. Would this be a better choice?
I got 770 just recently, and honestly didn’t like them. The bass was way too oversaturated and I expected much more for the price
You gotta check the 350BTs!
My son got these for Christmas and the left speaker doesn’t have sound when using bluetooth but does when usung the 3.5m jack. Others have had this issue too by the looks of it. Anyone else ever experienced this?
how is better Sennheiser HD 450BT or soundcore q30
Anyone else find these lacking in volume? I could use another couple of notches in it's volume range
True that’s an issue just get Soundcore is better
How is the leakage sound.. do somebody hear your music?
Hi, will these headphones work with a PC with bluetooth? I'm thinking about them as a cheap wireless gaming headset.
I think you want more clarity to your sound when gaming and less base. Maybe SteelSeries or Razer (or any other gaming brand for that matter) have cheap wireless headphones?
Sennheiser 450bt or Soundcore Q30? Which is better?
i am finding problems with it, suddenly no noise comes and it comes back
Sennheiser 450 BT or Anker life Q35?
Which is better? This or soundcore life q30
Soundcore
No techspurt weekly this week?

Nie działa mi lewa sluchawka, czym moze byc to spowodowane?
How is the durabiliti in them
These sound significantly weird once you screen record with mic switched-on while connected to an iOS device. I purchased these considering your review and iam truly disappointed . Would appreciate if you look into this.
Bro what your favorite buget gaming smart phones please reply
Red magic 3
How is this for gaming?
For this price I am quite disappointed. They give good sound, true, but also headphones in price range 60-70€ are doing the same. ANC is poor, it is better with chins ones with price range of 50-60€, and additionally they have in call this ambient sound that you can not turn off (I would at least expect that it can be turned off). Overall I would expect for this price better ANC and no ambient sound in talk. AAAhhh, yes, allmost forgot, material-plastic is good (if you are buying head phones for plastic)
Hello! Which headphones are better yet do the same thing?
25-30 hours wtf. I have headphones from soundcore (life Q10) that are 40 hours and they are around 40 pounds. Hd audio that is actually good and pads that don't clap your ears (I have massive ears!). Sennheiser Step Up your game!!! No wonder that I haven't bought any since 2015.
Wait.. your HEADPHONES are 40 POUNDS?
You have a good deal there, sennheiser 450 is good compared to other things around this price, ur just too gud
good for u doesnt mean good for evey body
@@andremp1634 it just so happens to have some of the best reviews for wireless headphones. 😏Sure they not good if you wear glasses but any headphones that's don't have a cutout for glasses are not good for that🤣👍 I'm still as pleased as the day I bought them😁 you can always order them try them out and send them back😉
I don’t see how headphones over 100 dollars can not be top of the line, it’s 2022 makes no sense
Do they ship with a case?
It's not a full case, however it does come with a storage back with a little pouch inside it to store your cables
@jakeyboy578 thx
I already bought them hehe
@jakeyboy578 thx

how do i turn the sidetone off? everything sounds like vomit
what are headphones for big ol' ears!!!
these headphone are a real pain to pair with a laptop. Also after a after 20 or 30 minutes or so they really start to heart your ears. Also ! if u have them on your phone bluetooth list and use them on your computer, you'll get some annoing pauses everytime you get a notification but not the sound of those notifications.
ohh
do these headphones have sarroundsound
I got these on sale and saved a ton of money! I do have an issue with the volume. I find I have to turn this way up to hear them almost 3 times more than a cheaper pair I have. I came here hoping to find a solution to this. I also find it only seems to charge well on my PC and not so much on an external plug-in charger for some unknown reason. Also, as most headphones do excessive wear does tend to hurt your ears after a bit from the pressure. Still better than my old pair but I only paid $45 for them. Still works, just not cordless. Oh, and last but not least. The noise cancellation I find to be Awesome and makes these priceless
do the headphones come with a mic?
Yes. I mean there is one within the headphones
That's a nice solid design if I do say so myself.
Huawei freebuds 3i review?
Does it hurst your ears?
They do almost everything well, except the BT was upgraded to Alexa in the SE.
Yes, everything is done well, except music. The sound quality for music is just unlistenable.
Does it work for ps4 party
