    I got these for almost 4 years and these are the best phones I've ever had. The sound is just phenomenal, but you have to tune it a bit. The EQ from Sennheiser is horrendous so don't even bother. I use jetaudio+ with all the enhancements and it took me about an hour to tune them and good, it was worth it. The basses are heavy (it can play 3Hz bass, even though it should not) while midst being clear and crisp same as highs. My vision actually trembles when I listen on them while being able to hear crystal clear voice. Best money ever spent..

    I just got these and have been experiencing a clicking/creaking sound in the right cup if I move while wearing them. It does it when both turned off and on so I'm sure it's mechanical. Curious if anyone else is experiencing the same?

  • @douglepong
    @douglepong 3 года назад +3

    So.. I kind of get Sennheiser's approach as a headphone company now. I just bought the Sennheiser 458, and after this review I'm a bit nervous to open them. But I notice that Sennheiser releases a new model yearly in hopes of trying to improve till they get it right. Judging by the video they still haven't figured out how to get the Active Noise Canceling sound to be the same as the sound without the noise canceling. You wouldn't think a vacuum to block noise would make a big difference. But I guess it does.

  •  3 года назад +8

    All the reviews fail to say that when on calls, the microphone lets you hear your own voice and your surroundings, which is pretty bad for shared home offices or loud enviroments of any kind. If you plan to use them on said places, make sure you have an external microphone to make it the default recording device on Windows thus avoiding the "pass through feature".

    But after you use these headphones with different eq settings and burn them in after some time they sound much better. The soundstage and instrument seperation is better. You are testing them straight out of the box which is why you dont like the sound. Most headphones sound muffled out of the box. This is because the headphone drivers are stiff from the factory.

    The only thing I would say is that these cans aren't for everyone, definitely not for the the general consumers. These pair of headphones are pretty good at producing a neutral sound, a very uncolored and unsophisticated representation of the music. That's the point! People don't go for Sennheiser, Shure, Beyerdynamic, Neumann headphones for no reason. If you want larger than life, bass heavy trash, of course JBL, Philips, Skullcandy is the way to go.

  • @ziggytonumaa
    @ziggytonumaa Год назад

    I don't agree with this video. The 450BT-s are fantastic headphones for the price 😊 i bought these without much thought as a gamble. The headphones have good ANC, they are closed back (they wont disturb others in your proximity) but they are very comfortable to wear for an extended time. Also, the ears don't get hot as many bluetooth heqdphones do. Connecting for first time was a bit tricky (took me 5 minutes, then read the manual) 😅 but havent had issues since. My only gripe is that the mid frequencies are too emphasized for me, but the frequency separation for this price is magnificient. Recommended!
    Edit:
    I'm surprised you say the frequency separation is poor + midfrequencies are reduced. I felt the exact opposite.
    What device did you test these with?
    I tested these with Pixel 6 + Spotify: i was initially taken aback by the performance. A bit muddy.
    Then i tested these with Sony NW-A55: wow, nice sound!!! And for such low price.
    Final verdict: 1) Audio source matters a lot.
    2) People have different set of ears and expectations. Everyone should test out for themselves - everyone's own ear is king!
    3) These are not premium cans. For this price, the looks, comfort i'd say these are some of the best on the market right now.

      I now remember buying some Sony bluetooth closed cans with ANC (~99€) that i gave away to a friend bc my ears went warm.
      JBL Tune 500s are the best budget headphones around 60€. They sound okay, but these Sennheisers sound better (and cost more also)

    The following was written before I found an eq work around (account given after the reply below)
    …. Very disappointed with the sound quality as I bought them off glowing reviews from others. This is the only accurate review I’ve come across but too late .. unfortunately I have now bought them. I have £7 wired skull candy earbuds which sound way way better than these in every respect. I also have great sounding wired prof cans so I know what good cans should sound like. These are dull sounding with deep in the head soundstage. Suck the life out of everything and only marginally improved by boosting the bass and treble in the app … I concur with this review. Ear cups are too small clamping force a bit too strong Will be selling these. Knew I should have bought the JBL or skull candy cans .. around the same price. 😀

      @@TotallydubbedHD Thanks for replying. Happy days 😀 After several hours of tweaking I found a work around. I went through the 3 stage sound adjustment (to one’s taste) on the Sennheiser control app. Still too much bass and not a flat enough range of clarity through mids to treble but it was better. My IPhone output was flat during this process .. however today I chose the Apple eq setting “reduce bass” and everything fell into place while keeping the Sennheiser eq in place too. The clarity across the range of frequencies manifested, but retained the punchiness I like in headphone sound.
      That combination worked with bass heavy U2 and and the John Martyn track Dealer.
      I was astounded, a few minutes ago after putting on the last movement of Mahler’s Resurrection Symph’ No2 .. with Simon Rattle. My favourite orchestral piece but I hadn’t heard this version.
      It moved me to tears. Great presentation of dual singers and choir, brass, and the very low frequency of the huge drum used at crucial points.
      These cans eventually delivered but I doubt that many people could be bothered to do this amount of tweaking. They should have sounded much better from a flat source straight out of the box. I’m keeping them though.😀

    Oh man, this is cool I just picked up the 450BTNC at CEX!! £60 mate! #GetOnMyLevelBro !!
    They feel luxurious to me, especially the memory foam. Something you might not have a problem with is that I keep trapping my long hair in the cracks, but that's kinda my life :]
    The earpads cover my ears really well, it seems to me to be made to sit just around the back of the ears with the main canal right at the front.
    Love the videos :D

    I'm considering getting these for my son, who is 9yo. He needs ANC for blocking out sound for focusing and is an avid music lover. He will always be supervised for sound levels etc.... blahblahblah. I was considering these vs the Anker Soundcore Q30's. The smaller ear cups and clamping force seems like a bonus for his smaller noggin'. Which would you recommend? These are going for sub $100 USD at the monent. Seems like a lot of value
