But you also have to keep mine for the price space ones aren’t even that bad. They’re actually pretty good considering aesthetics and controls. The ones you bought after that were two times the price so they’re both probably about the the quality you’re expected for those prices
Those are $229 on Sennheiser's website. I didn't want to include anything that was temporarily under $200 due to a sale or something. Edit: but I would love to include those in a future comparison!
Hey Mike. I know it's been two months since you added this video, but I surely hope you will be able to answer my question. My biggest concern on choosing headphones is definitely heat. In the "comfort" section of this video, you don't talk that much about it, so here's my question. Which one of all the headphones you have tested under 200$, whether it's one in this video or not, has the least tendency to get hot? Actually if you could give me a top 3 I would really appreciate it. I want to use them for movie watching at home.
Great video, but curious your choice of going for the soundcore space 1 vs the Q45 which seem like they would be more comperable to the others in this comparison?
Is there a classification for over the ear headphones that aren't so big and bulky. I just bought a set, and they're just too awkwardly wide, I want a pair that are slimmer and sleeker under $100.
I have the LBJ 675 from Costco as my alternative to my Bose qc45.I actually like the LBJ better but the comfort of Bose are nicer. The battery life on the LBJ are insane.
@@keithpalacios9417 I cancelled the order because I found many negative feedbacks on Reddit. It's related to the construction of earbuds. It regularly breaks and Sony doesn't cover the warranty. Most importantly it's so comfortable and I don't feel them in my ears for a whole listening session
@@nicolescutiberiu840 Definitely not the most impressive sound, but solid for the price and features. I listen to a good range of genres, but mostly alternative, pop, hip-hop, and r&b. I can make out the different instruments pretty well with these on, but I won’t say the spacing is the best I’ve heard. The standard EQ felt lacking to me personally, but I’ve stuck to the Bass EQ preset and can’t complain. I also listen at about 50% on all my headphones, and they’re plenty loud at that level.
Well the Studio Pros aren’t on ear headphones. Those are over ear headphones. The Solo 4s are On Ear headphones. The Solo 4s are also cheaper but as of right now the Studio Pros are on sale.
Sound cores for active noise cancellation outside, but beats were the best inside with the microphone. They’re about the same price too, so it’s up to you.
He guys, I am looking forward to buy headphones but I am confused between sony ult wear and sennheiser accentum plus. What should i get? I generally listen to acoustic songs and edm music.
I've used the JBL 760NC and they broke after 10months of daily usage. I am a little disaappointed in their durability. So I am kind of unsure about the JBL 770Live. It's kind of expemsive. However I can agree on all the points you mentioned. I am also not experienced in many headphones so kind of difficult to choose for me in that price range. I think the bass and anc is most important to me which JBL managed well on my experience so far.
If you are looking for a headphone under 100 dollars and you don't care about it being wireless and having noise canceling, buy the Philips shp 9600. It is open-back, and the drivers and sound quality are a lot better than any of these(except the senheisers I think). They have a pretty flat frequency response compared to these, so unlike these, they are not cranking up the bass and treble to the high heavens
After breaking my Beats Solo Pro, yes the one that came out after apple bought beats. Im so pissed. They have insanely better features than solo 4… what do you mean no transparency? No close to turn off? And the shittier of the two adjustment options? The solo pro IS THE BEST (ON EAR) headphone of all time. The only con was weight. And its insane that in 2024 they cost more than the Solo 4s. Now I know why. (I broke mine cause I was dumb and skateboarded with them on, split the top lol)
Beats are here only for Apple ecosystem participant, if any of you think that this thing actually recommended in any shape or form, even if you are an Apple user, u just tripping or a blind fanboy, i like the design, but that's about it, so much more cheaper option if you only want on-ear headphones
I Love my solo 4s, I use a Samsung phone and use an iPad so they’re great for switching back and forth. Also I really love the slate blue and battery life.
Don't recommend space ones for anything except using them at home. they are extremely fragile (especially at the joints). such a shame, i rly liked some of the features. here to find a replacement since they have self destructed on me.
Great video! Definitely want more clarity than bass, bass is great but... Adelle songs don't have much bass The Soundcore Space one's sound muffled outside.. But the noise reduction on backround sound is very nice.
Ok Mike, I like you and your vids for the most part, but I think I'm just over phones and earphones... I mean the cost a bit to do with it, as 1000 for a phone is just a big turn off for me, and if I'm only buying phones to use as a handheld desktop to to do media transfers... ??? I can see talking about best case scenarios, but 200 for any headphones with so much out there seems a bit crazy to me. I do appreciate which one gives me best sound when I'm listening to music as a focus, but I feel like your time would be better spent on which is best for helmets with Electric Bikes in different situations, and then whats worth the price. I really appreciated the vid on the bikes, and am looking for one that can hold my weight and which is best for seniors, going to stores, to work, etc., other wise I'm very interestred in what would be best listeniing expeerience when riding as some can be very loud, yet unsafe if noise caceling was used. So a couple years back I ended up with a mic and ear set that goes into a motorcycle helmet, and it would be nice to see some comparisons on those, but I may be losing my hearing lol... so UGH, I say we force the price down... 125.00 should be for the best of the best, and around 75 for those who can want the bells and whistles, but otherwise, I just want to be able to hear the song I'm listening to without a bunch of distortion. and I have plenty of those that coast were almost free from a grab bag. Oh, I did just start editing and like good head phones sound during that, and voice playback of myself... Thanks

Awfully exaggerated review for the ult wear. I have them and have my fair share of bass headphones. They are NOT that crazy and you make it seem like it's more than it really is. I don't think you've been around bass much if you consider these to be mind blowing.
Same WH-XM3 is king. I've seen reviews where the 4's beat out 5. Where the 3's beat the 4's. Only thing missing in my opinion with the 3's is the pause effect when u put them around ur neck but not needed for me.
@@rare2b yes, and i don't need that either too. I both tried the XM4 and the XM5, the XM3 is definitely better than thr XM4 in sound quality but the XM5 has an edge over the XM3 but not that substantial and not worth upgrading. Unfortunately there were too many headphones to consider and the video is already over 30 minutes long. If I had more time, I would include those as well as a few others (Earfun, old Sony XM3, maybe some older Bose, etc)

I am also not experienced in many headphones so kind of difficult to choose for me in that price range. I think the bass and anc is most important to me which JBL managed well on my experience so far.
Same use gum
Same here they still work perfectly just wish they were more durable
Awesome comparison, thanks for sharing
If you are looking for a headphone under 100 dollars and you don't care about it being wireless and having noise canceling, buy the Philips shp 9600. It is open-back, and the drivers and sound quality are a lot better than any of these(except the senheisers I think). They have a pretty flat frequency response compared to these, so unlike these, they are not cranking up the bass and treble to the high heavens
pls do a review and comparison of marshall major 4 headphones with these headphones
Omg this was exactly what i was looking for. Mike makes the most amazing reviews, when it comes to headphones
Thanks so much! I appreciate your kind words :)

beats solo 4 on sale right now for 99 might be the best deal
After breaking my Beats Solo Pro, yes the one that came out after apple bought beats. Im so pissed. They have insanely better features than solo 4… what do you mean no transparency? No close to turn off? And the shittier of the two adjustment options? The solo pro IS THE BEST (ON EAR) headphone of all time. The only con was weight. And its insane that in 2024 they cost more than the Solo 4s. Now I know why. (I broke mine cause I was dumb and skateboarded with them on, split the top lol)
The build quality is great, and you can tell by even just looking at pictures vs the solo 4 which has more durability
Anc Jbl way better than anker. It is just wrong to measure with static white noise
I picked the beats studio pro for $179 with apple care included at Costco.
I almost included the Studio Pro in this video
@@MikeOBrienMedia should have. the studio pros are almost always under 200, while the solos are at 130.
I think the design is boring, and ugly lol. They're also tiny. Maybe I'm weird but I like a big can
Really should have tested against the Soundcore Q45
Don't recommend space ones for anything except using them at home. they are extremely fragile (especially at the joints). such a shame, i rly liked some of the features.
here to find a replacement since they have self destructed on me.
What did you end up buying?
@@azmah7 sony wh-1000xm4
Great video! Definitely want more clarity than bass, bass is great but... Adelle songs don't have much bass
The Soundcore Space one's sound muffled outside.. But the noise reduction on backround sound is very nice.
Hey Mike 👋 i love your videos
Thanks
I Love Sony!!! I'm Using ULT New Wireless Sony Headphone with Extra Bass!!! Also I Interested with JbL & Soundcore too!!! 🤟🏻😃🤟🏻
Excellent review & thank you! But I already bought the Sony last week (for USD155 promotion in Singapore) , so your 2nd ranking is not bad. No regret for me... 🙂
Microphone test indoors:
5. Sony
4. Senheizer
3. Jbl
2. Soundcore
1. Beats
Mic test outside:
5. Senheizer
4. Jbl
3. Sony
2. Soundcore
1. Beats
Thats my mic ranking.
1 being the best or the the worst?
@@bruhhh2150probably best
Add the Skullcandy Hesh ANC up next
good video came at the right time for me
Nice! Which headphones do you like best?
@@MikeOBrienMedia ive decided on buying xm4's as where i live it is also priced at $199
Awfully exaggerated review for the ult wear. I have them and have my fair share of bass headphones. They are NOT that crazy and you make it seem like it's more than it really is. I don't think you've been around bass much if you consider these to be mind blowing.
My 5 y.o WH-XM3 beats them all in every scenario.
I can EQ the XM3 to make it sound like the XM5. The worst sounding of the bunch is the XM4.
Lol, the Ult wear is not bassy enough for me. I am going for the crushers.
So.... Does the Edifier WH950NB not qualify for this shootout?
Unfortunately there were too many headphones to consider and the video is already over 30 minutes long. If I had more time, I would include those as well as a few others (Earfun, old Sony XM3, maybe some older Bose, etc)
Dude, you are comparing over head to on head. Make up your mind.
Please do the jabra gen 2 earbuds!!!
Beats studio pro are my favorite they are cheaper then the solo 4! But I had just bought the Sony ult and I love them too but still the studio pro are my favorite
l have sony ULT wear amazing experiece really cool .. high clarity sound ... just love it ❤❤
I've just presented my daughter Space One and to be honest they're quite good for 50 bucks I've paid for them and not that worse than my old xm3's
It's incredible what Anker/Soundcore is able to offer at such a low price. Who knows how long it will last, but out of the box, I am impressed
If you must have over ear at this price, just get the Bose QuietComfort SC or SE. They are ex-flagship, but they do everything you need brilliantly at this price. The Solo 4 are uncomfortable and the ULT WEAR sound horrible.
STOP IT DONT DISSRESPECT THE ULT
@@thefab0075 they look good and are really comfortable.
I’d avoid beats my studio pros feel cheap
What about comfort for people with lenses?
