Hi, Thank you for the review, I use xb900n headphones which are still good for me, but I'm looking at these new bass headphones from Sony. Please tell me if the equalizer works in the Sony app in this model of headphones when using the "LDAC" codec, since the xb900n equalizer only works when the AAC and SBS codec are enabled. This information is very important for me, because if the equalizer is still unavailable in the new headphones in the "ldaс" codec, then I don't see any point in changing my XB900n headphones to this new model
a little out of topic, but check out the new Marshall minor IV, for some reason it's just recently launched but went under the radar especially with the Nothing ear being introduced on the same week
are they trying to be the Next Skullcandy? I hope everyone tries the monstrosity, the Skull candy Crushers were - they literally had separate powered drivers to only and only produce bass, and they would vibrate on your head. They took extra bass and turned it up to an 11. Now my audio preference is dead flat with my Hifiman headphones but the skullcandys were something else
Great video! I would like to see them compared with the Soundcore Q45s and the Earfun Wave Pros. Edit: Did that book say "How To Teach Yourself Banjo"? 😂
Yep. I sat down to film a b-roll shot there and that was the book that happened to be next to me. Fun fact though - I did actually learn banjo last year.
i think so. i tried it in person in a shop and compared diff headphones. safe to say, ult wear had no noise in the songs i was hearing, plenty of volume, and good bass once you press ult once but head rattling bass once you press it one more time. better than xm4 definitely in terms of sound and better than the entirety of skull candy in terms of bass and overall enjoyablity.
I have tried both and senheiser is on a different league. Sony ult has insane bass almost to level which you don't actually need but at the cost of some sound quality. Even the songs with bass falls flat when it comes to the feel. Senheiser has insane audio quality. For transparency and anc Sony edges by a little.
Should I buy these headphones if I hate bass? I love the design of these headphones, they are fordable and have much better ANC than wh-ch720 but will I be able to turn all the bass off? I can't affort xm4 or xm5 and don't like 720 that much either...
I've been using my Crusher Evo for the past 3.5 years. It still works fine. All good with a new ear pad. The battery is magnificent. The simulated bass of Crusher is too much. Hence I'm using my own EQ curve in Poweramp EQ, further with keeping the Crusher bass slider at 15%. And I hate the sound staging of Crusher Evo. I don't feel the staging is decent in Crusher. But recently I started noticing this ULT, XM4 and XM5. Now I'm curious to know the bass difference between both. I actually don't know if I'm missing out any overall better sounding headphones with decent bass as I haven't looked for an alternative all these 3.5 years with my Crusher Evo.
I'd be curious how they compare with the wh-1000xm4. I had compared the mx4 and mx5 and didn't notice a significant difference so I never upgraded. I do love bass though but feel like the 1000xm models already have great bass.

cool video dear
Great but they get massively hot on your ears within 30 minutes
Is it good for the office calls?
👌

Does it beat skull candy 360 in bass?
Skull candy produces artificial bass not real bass
They remind me of my WHXB900N.. which died just after 3 years... and they become $160 wasted dollars... 3 years of light use I should clarify... so no, no more sony headphones
That’s why i only use wired headphones lol. Any pair of wired headphones, whether it be an ATH-M50x or a DT770 Pro or a Sennheiser HD569 pair of headphones is a MUCH better purchase decision than any pair of muddy boomy and bassy Sony headphones, ESPECIALLY when talking about sound quality. Those 3 headphones I mentioned are MUCH more reliable and natural.
Your complaining about three years that fuck*** impressive grow tf up
Hi, i think it would be interesting to compare this ULT wear with Skullcandy crusher 2 anc, i've got both and they are very pleasant for watch movies and listen sort of music...thanks for your test 🙏
A simple question: Do I get sweaty if I wear these headphones for too long?
I have the ULT WEAR paird with my Sony Xperia 5 iii and eq set as close to the WH-1000XM5 as possible with ULT 1 Clear Bass 6 and they sound amazing. The phone does come with 360 audio free and ive been able to watch movies that sound like your at the cinema i can say the 360 audio i find is most of the time better on id say using them with a Sony device is is much better sounding than other brands.
Did you use other applications to EQ the sound (Wavelet, equalizerAPO, etc...) or the default sony EQ? Because I tried with the sony EQ and I can't get anywhere near my xm5.
@@uvuvwevwevweonyentenyevweu9405 I use the sony EQ i got my settings from this video Make Sony ULT WEAR sound like WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM5! ☝🏻 (Best EQ Settings)
@@uvuvwevwevweonyentenyevweu9405 I use the Sony EQ
Compare it to the Bose QC45 as there are similarly priced in general!!
So this is basically the evolution of the XB950, finally!
@@fronf i would say theyre equal to xb900n but no where near close to the coveted perfection that is the xb950b1s
@@fronfno close to 950
This is the top tier of bass headsets for bassheads, xm5s are for people who care about soundstage. I freaking love the BOOMING bass.
Me too... I bought one recently and I just love them!😂
@@clementkyei6076How are they holding up? No regrets, I hope.
I got this one for 139. It was on sale. Did I get a good deal? Because the price was so low, I added in a theft insurance.
Sony ult vs bose qc45
The microphone was great in my idea
Planning to buy new headphones soon. Should I got for this or XM4??
5:19
Is there is any difference in inside components between ult and xm5 ??
Yeah
This or the crusher anc 2 boys (for the gym) i love listening to music too
Would you say these are sweatproof?
Hi, Thank you for the review, I use xb900n headphones which are still good for me, but I'm looking at these new bass headphones from Sony. Please tell me if the equalizer works in the Sony app in this model of headphones when using the "LDAC" codec, since the xb900n equalizer only works when the AAC and SBS codec are enabled. This information is very important for me, because if the equalizer is still unavailable in the new headphones in the "ldaс" codec, then I don't see any point in changing my XB900n headphones to this new model
Me seeing they weigh 255g thinking thats a lot till i realised i use the razer narie essential that actually weighs 433😂
Honestly there not that great the bass isn’t as punchy in my opinion and there not loud enough
I loved the design and comfort of these, but they just didn’t sound good to me, which was a shame. Back to the Bose QC 2023.
U tried the Ults in store and they sounded magnificent
ULT Wear = xm5 Lite
a little out of topic, but check out the new Marshall minor IV, for some reason it's just recently launched but went under the radar especially with the Nothing ear being introduced on the same week
Are they better than XM4?
Is it good for video editors?
are they trying to be the Next Skullcandy? I hope everyone tries the monstrosity, the Skull candy Crushers were - they literally had separate powered drivers to only and only produce bass, and they would vibrate on your head. They took extra bass and turned it up to an 11. Now my audio preference is dead flat with my Hifiman headphones but the skullcandys were something else
not everyone wanna have a vibrator on their head
Great video! I would like to see them compared with the Soundcore Q45s and the Earfun Wave Pros.
Edit: Did that book say "How To Teach Yourself Banjo"? 😂
Yep. I sat down to film a b-roll shot there and that was the book that happened to be next to me. Fun fact though - I did actually learn banjo last year.
Are these ult wear worth the extra money compared to the soundcore Q45 headphones?
i think so. i tried it in person in a shop and compared diff headphones. safe to say, ult wear had no noise in the songs i was hearing, plenty of volume, and good bass once you press ult once but head rattling bass once you press it one more time. better than xm4 definitely in terms of sound and better than the entirety of skull candy in terms of bass and overall enjoyablity.
@@ashique8282I had an xm4, but I'm giving it to a friend. Would these be a solid choice? The 5s are just too expensive for now.
@@ashique8282 These are better than xm4s, hands down?
Great review as always!

He said these are the bassiest headphones he ever seen. Must not have seen many headphones. Ck-129, alpine, betron retro have fantastic bass.
Great video. Yess, i would like to see it compared to the Sennheiser Momentum 4. Which one has a better bass, transparancy and ANC?
diffrent price tag
I have tried both and senheiser is on a different league. Sony ult has insane bass almost to level which you don't actually need but at the cost of some sound quality. Even the songs with bass falls flat when it comes to the feel. Senheiser has insane audio quality. For transparency and anc Sony edges by a little.
Should I buy these headphones if I hate bass? I love the design of these headphones, they are fordable and have much better ANC than wh-ch720 but will I be able to turn all the bass off? I can't affort xm4 or xm5 and don't like 720 that much either...
I'd suggest the Sennheiser Accentum if you hate bass. 🫡
You need some JBL or Bose
You can lower the bass to your liking but if you're not a fan of bass at all even a bit then don't get these they have pretty hefty bass even low
Maybe buy soundcore q45s instead.
Great BASS in XM4/5 really ??? Wait until you experience BASS from ULT WEAR and thanks to XM series microprocessor it can also be tuned to sound exactly like XM4/5
Great video Mike! Love the Ult.... the color "Forest Grey" a deep luxurious grey/green with more than a breath of mystery (Google)
First time? How the fuck you've never heard of Skullcandy Crusher line up?
oooooookay daddy
