  • Hey everyone I'm back with another tutorial this weekend. This is one I have really fund helpful when adding a border to my most recent blanket. I show you how to crochet straight edges onto a ripple blanket/ ripple stitch so that you too can find it easier when adding any type of border onto the ripple blanket or if you are changing stitch halfway through a straight edge can be really helpful. I hope you find this quick tutorial helpful and manage to crochet those sharp precise edges onto your own blankets.

Ty, only one tiny little critique - with the utmost respect and I realise this is two years old so maybe you’ve already realized this -
When you are sharing a technical lesson on something like how to finish an edge, you don’t need to verbally walk through the basics of how to create stitches. (Yarn over - insert hook, etc etc etc)
You can assume the viewer has accomplished an entire crochet blanket and is capable of how to create basic stitches.
That’s all, thanks so much for putting up excellent content.

So if I were to make a border around the entire blanket, for the sides, should I just do double crochet all across? In the past I’ve also done three stitches in the corners, so it lays out properly. Will this do as well?
