I want to thank you for this tutorial. I've been playing around unsuccessfully which other possible ways of creating a straight edge on a chevron pattern. Your ingenious tutorial has saved me. Thank you, thank you, thank you. SUZ.

So, my pattern is three at the top of the peak in the top stitch, then 4 down the side, then decrease three then up 4 and then 3 in the top peak. How would I work this?

I thought you were confused calling the stitch a double crochet, but then realized UK terms are different than US terms. Nice demonstration.

Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it and I will make sure in future videos I'm really clear on UK or USA as I know how confusing that can be!. x

Hi my chevron is 13 stitches before my skip two and peak of 3 so what was your stitches before that made you decide you needed 11 to start the straight edge ?

Where your stitches 12 then your peak of 3 then 12 down and skip 2 then 12 back up to next peak of 3 then 12 down and skip 2 ? So when starting your straight edge you went down to 11 ? Then 9 then 7 ? Xx

I have created my straight edge and one additional row of (US sc). Can I reverse these steps to reform my valleys and continue my pattern?
