- The 1984 Mustang GT350 is at it again!!! Overheated to the surface of the sun! This Foxbody is really making my "burn this thing to the ground" side come out of hiding! Junk Parts, broken bolts, and all around Ford nonsense has me just angry!!!

We KNEW you could do it! Those stupid little bolt nubs never stood a chance! Definitely don't use Rotella for flat tappets... we use a TON of it for turbo cars but it doesn't have the right "stuff" for old schools. We're Schaeffers or Driven kinda folk ourselves, definitely not cheap though!

When i was a lad my old man had a 75 Mercury Grand Marquis with (if memory serves) a 351 Cleveland and it got that hot it melted every wire on the engine, plug wires and all… Put a thermostat in it, replaced or repaired all the wiring and never had an issue after that… I am not a Ford guy.. I’d rather push a Chev than drive a Ford but i was impressed with that ol’ 351.
Clevelands were fantastic motors. Just came at the wrong time.
I hope you bought some lottery tickets after getting those bolts out! I’m not sure where prices are at on them now but I used to buy Murphy temp gauges for irrigation engines and they were around $10-15 and maybe 1 out of 100 would fall.

I've been sold on the Valvoline VR1 for a while now. A little bit more but no extra additives to buy! And they do make it in 10W-30 and 40. I use 30 in my C10 and 40 in my 68 Lemans.
i think your laser gun is wrong, its a 195 thermostat and your gauge is 200, sounds right to me,
I know a couple of guys that have a problem with antifreeze like you do for me it's gear oil and transmission fluid

The thermostat may be cooked as well. I've had that happen.

was using a China wrench to pull the nuts off an axle flange then it broke, so i put the old Russian made socket set on it and the job got done... today after eating half a pumpkin pie made with a Russian pumpkin that sat on the floor in one spot for 3 years, I decided to weld the crack in the broken China wrench. only burned two 3/32 6011 and one 5/32 7024, by the time i ground it down a little my hands got cold... now it sits in a pile of wonder, will i ever actually use it again? the 15/16 nut it broke on wasn't even rusty.
The absolute worst fluid to come out of a car is gear oil
I've put 3 fuel pumps for my 73 C10. The other day I was running the truck and it was popping back in the brand new Elderbrock and looked at the clear filter and had no fuel in it. So it's starving foe fuel. So I guess I need to buy a new fuel pump again. And it's running hot too. I've got all new parts from the water pump to the new distributor and still won't run for shit!! I'm so ove this piece of shit!

It's not really the name for me... it's the additives.
Inline electric fuel pumps burn up why because gas cools the pump so in tank pump and don’t run under 1/4 of tank

No, just cheap bolts, weren't long enough. Lotta pressure on that side of the engine.
Seems like the short one probably worked its way loose causing vibration and snapped the bolts. That’s my take.
Probably, and having a driver who doesn't check for maintenance issues doesn't help lol

Either way bud you need to throw that 195 stat in the trash iv been racing these 302s for over 25 years anything over 180 and those motors loose 30 plus HP
Just a daily. Boy needs the heat. I used to use washer. Just enough restriction to let the rad work.

@@markstewart365 the mechanical gauges are 1 piece from the gauge to engine. I replaced it. And the new part (Equus gauge) was bad

After watching you for almost a year your Son is a curse upon that poooooor Mustang When China knows they're the only one that makes the part & you have no other place to go, but to buy another from them . . . they gotcha. Thank you come again. I'd be willing to bet the majority that are claiming its no big deal about new bad parts don't work on their own vehicle and wonder why the dealerships costs keep going up.
