Thank you for the video. Just what I wanted to see. I have a 17 Volt that I love and I read the Bolt has more cargo capacity seats up and down then the Volt. At the dealer today, it just did not feel that way. With seats down I could see the big advantage for the Bolt. Thanks for taking the time to make this. Curious with the platform down if you would have made it fit in the Kona. After a disaster with the quality of our recent Kia product I will not even consider a Hyundai/Kia product.
Thanks for taking the time to write a comment. I really don't think with the platform down on the Kona that I could have fit all that I couldn't get in - it was some serious cargo leftover. And I had the same reaction as you, it didn't seem like the Bolt had enough cargo space. Anyways, glad this video helped you!
Vry practical cargo space analysis bolt is unbeatable yet,how much space it offers, comparing any EV,6 feet person can accommodate flat easily, after folding rear seats
I can only comment on insurance where I live (British Columbia). In the EVs I have owned I have noticed no difference in insurance rates compared to previous cars. We have a public insurance company here though that is government owned, so it is possible that a private funded organization might have different policies. I don't think the Bolt is exotic enough though to make it stand out on an insurance price increase. Hope that helps!
Just got my 2020 Bolt and love it!
Congrats! I've been driving a 2017 Bolt for almost three years now!
A pro Bolt video well I never. Awesome car and so quick lol
I'm hoping that crooked license plate has been fixed since this video was released

great video Dustin, thanks. I want to lease one but isn't the cost to insure pretty high on this EV?

How do you feel about Volt vs Bolt trunk space a few years on?
Good question! I've found the Bolt trunk space to be more usable for sure. Having the extra heigh really helps you load a lot more in it.
Are the back seats up or folded down for this test?
The back seats were in the up position
Too bad the seats suck.
