The woman in the water is a Nereid, an ocean nymph, and a member of Poseidon's court. Wood nymphs (as we saw in Episode 1) are called Dryads, and fresh water nymphs are Naiads.

i doubt they’ll show this in this season but Percy can actually choose when to be wet and dry. in the book he comes out of the water dry after the arch.

@@JustLucindai think it’s more of that he doesn’t fully know how his power works so maybe as he develops he’ll know how to choose to be wet and dry … if that makes sense 😭

@@JustLucinda I can say this because episode 7 is out now, but in the book the pearls transport them into the ocean instead of on the shore and the coast guard have to rescue them. In that situation Percy chose to be wet because he didn't want to draw attention by being completely dry as he's being plucked out the ocean

Yes, and if we get more episodes, we'll see more of his creations (we saw one in Episode 1 - the rhino that Percy sees, but mortals see as a dump truck. That is straight out of "The Chalice of the Gods." ​@@julienaruse1721
