god, the torture these men must have gone through. I lost a close firefighter friend in the south tower collapse, and this only makes his pain before death too real.
Condolences
Eric Goolsby sorry for your loss man. May your friend rest in peace. 🙏🏾
Eric Goolsby your friend was a true hero, may he never be forgotten.
Bless you.🙏🙏
Eric Goolsby and they didn’t have to do it either 😔
I couldn't imagine how bad it'd be to be trapped under rubble for almost 12 hours.... Probably have to be strong enough to get out....
Hope..Hope had them and that's what got them out, God bless the United States..
I would not have let those terrorist bastards kill me. Or just give up.
Ryan19812012 you mean Bush.
12 hours? this whole thing lasted less than two hours
Ryan19812012 you talking about Bush right?
Can you imagine the officers, fireman and other innocent individuals who suffer from *PTSD* after this tragedy. My Goodness...
۵ χια Dყɳαʂƚყ ۵ so unfortunate
It must be awful, I feel terrible for them.
Imagine the PTSD of the 170000 Afghanis the USA killed in misplaced revenge
that would be horrible. if i was an officer or fireman during that time, i would quit right after. that would be traumatizing.
@@tumadoireacht ima delete your comment
I feel so bad for the people who were trapped so far down that they inevitably died alone and scared. God bless them and their families. Also the brave fire fighters and police officers who didn’t make it. We must never forget 9-11.
Yeah I hope that they at least didnt have to suffer/died immediately and didnt feel anything, especially pain and fear!!
But Instead I hope that they saw the light and got bliss!
@@dereksmall4311 wtf is wrong with you
A lot of people think the gun going of and the fire balls was just added but it actually happened. Everything that happens in this movie is supposedly what happened it was documented for about 2 years before this movie began being made. One of the police officers actually saw Jesus in a dream, he was positive he wasn't going to make it and his mind was going. This is a fantastic movie.
What the fuck does the fictional character jesus have to do with this?
+CaligulaClone Historians have already confirmed Jesus had existed
God is real. There are too many miracles happening on this planet. Since there are 8 billion people on Earth, and let's say only 5 billion people witnessed it, then there are still 3 billion who haven't.
The guy who was trapped under that rubble came to my school and talked to us about this stuff
colemcgrath 1718 there is no proof you fool. You just have to believe
Imagine how closterphobic they must’ve felt
Julian imagine how much fear and torment they must have felt.
Imagine how happy theyd be having just survived @MASSIVE SKYSCRAPER COLLAPSE ONTO THEIR HEADS...
now THAT is a yikes. imagine skipping third grade spelling. smooth brain located
Imagine your neighbor clapping your mom's cheeks..
Not much claustrophobic more scared to death
I wasn't actually aware anyone had survived on the ground floor when the tower collapsed. This is kinda interesting.
@Corporal Silver That's because school teaches Fake News nowadays. The Truth is all on the Internet. My Elementary School long time ago back when i was in school, in the Early 2010s, tried to tell me that the aftermath of the American Revolution was a song about the world turning upside down, Turns out the REAL NEWS aftermath of the American Revolution happens to be the Treaty of Paris in 1783.
Yea there were a few that survived
@Montana Roots I second this!
I thought they were on the ground floor of the first tower and covered indeed the debris of the second tower
Like interesting as in teaching or interesting as in cool
I know a NYPD officer how was trapped under rubble in 9/11. One of the people with him was forced to shoot his himself in the leg because his gun was holstered but they needed to get the attention of the USMC. I don't remember exactly but I think the guy who shot himself in the leg died of blood loss before they were rescued. But the gunfire did get the attention of the USMC so the other two officers (one of them being the guy I know) survived.
Do you still know him?
Graham Collins 🍎🍉🍊🍈
WTF?? The guy was forced to get the attention of the USMC so he had to shoot himself?? He couldn’t just shoot up into the sky to get attention?
Abraham Rivera his gun was holstered and stuck
Pass The Mustard lololololol
That wind was from the other tower that collapsed I'm guessing
+Mysterious Beat one of the other buildings around the world trade center that collapsed not the other tower
+Mysterious Beat Building 7, probably.
Brian D Actually the wind was from when tower 7 collapsed
HamburgerTime209 building 7 comes down later in the movie
Really? How long were you an officer up till 9/11?
My sister's boyfriend died after the first tower collapsed. He was a firefighter who got crushed to death when the first tower fell. His body was never found. Rest in peace Michael.
I'm so sorry my dear..just know he went to better place..forever in your heart ❤😢
My prayers are for your friend may he be in a better place so sad that this terrible tragedy happened. He was a true hero
this story has got to be the most moving survival stories, it gets me so emotional to even picture being in this horrible position. RIP to all those that didn't make it and respect for all the people who made it out and those who found survivors.
@hitlerlovesanime2904 ok
This scene is most likely when Building 7 collapsed. Tower 2 caused them to get trapped, Tower 1 caused that one guy to sustain fatal injuries, so this scene must be Building 7.
Or 6
+OnlyTwenty1Characters Tower 6 never really collapsed though but suffered a MAJOR hole in the middle of it's structure.
+Mr Fuzy Unibrow Nope, building 7 actually collapses later, this was ''just'' debris in fire falling to them.
If you are talking about the rumble in 0:35 I think thats the North Tower coming down
Building 7 was no where near them, like 600 yards to the closest tower (tower 1)
I cannot even *BEGIN* to imagine the sheer horror that these people went through that day.
i'm thinking those making jokes of this weren't around yet. it's not a joke. these characters were real people. some of which probably with close ones reading your comments.
Kobe and Are cool probably. I wasn’t even around yet and I know not to make jokes about it.
I wasn’t around back then, but I would never make a joke about it.
I was there that day. I was just 14 yrs old. Now im 32. I will nvr forgot. I was on chamber street. I heard 👂 but not saw 👀 first plane ✈ but i did 👀 see and 👂 the second plane ✈go into second tower. 😬😬it smelled like burning wire and metal to me.
I was born a month and a few weeks after but I remember how cautious my family were when it came to travelling.
I was in 1st grade. And I make jokes about 9/11, it helps me heal
Tomorrow it will be 20 years since this horrendous thing happens, I think I say that I speak for everyone when I say, thank you for all the people who saved our lives and died saving our lives cause you guys are true heroes. God bless you all✊🏼🙏
Yes, I agree! Thank you, our heroes! And may the fallen ones rest in eternal peace!
2022 I'm here reading your post
its september 11 2022, 9:00 pm here in new york city. 21 years. its been 21 years.
"Just dont go to sleep "
That put my heart in my throat
Yeah, we shouldn’t sleep when we’re severely injured otherwise we’ll never be able to wake up and we’ll just die instead.
We all know what happened from the outside. But we will never know exactly what the people trapped in the debris suffered. My heart is broken whenever I think about it
When u think it cant get worse.. Gun starts shooting randomly
Saying they went through hell is an understatement
this is the scene that sticks in my head the most... the scene where even the bravest of super heroes (yes, firefighters are real life super heroes) reveal that they're also very much still human.... this was a real moment of vulnerability where you really just felt like you had to jump through the screen and save them. it was a reminder that while they were heroes for charging up those stairs to save lives.... they were still humans - humans who had to deal with very real fear.... and through their survival had to fight impossible odds. when they cried, we felt it. when they felt hopeless, we felt it...
goddamn if the cops weren't some real life heroes that day... it always breaks my heart to hear the captain just scream in agony and frustration... thank god these men survived this ordeal...
fun fact,,,,the captain (John McLoughlin in actuality) actually screamed coz the falling rock from the subsequent collapse crushed his already trapped knees...case of adding insult to injury😪
Watching this scene alone sends a burning sensation across the body. Sending my prayers to the families of all the Firefighting Bravehearts who lost their lives and the many who survived and had to battle for the rest of their lives. Also sending my prayers to every soul who was impacted on that fateful day.
These men are strong physically and mentally. Will always respect these men
This movie should be shown in high school classrooms.
I didn't see this movie in high school, but my teacher showed us a documentary made by French brothers Gedeon and Jules Naudet that is one of the closest films of watching 9/11 through the eyes of the NYFD. They were originally filming a rooky fireman and the steps he took to be a fireman in NYC and happened to be there when the first plane struck the towers. It's something I'd recommend if anyone has interest in it.
Darth Maul yes it should
I vividly remember watching this actually in elementary school
Why?
I saw this in middle school.
I'm german and I can't Belive that.
That is so sad.
R.I.P. all the people who are dead now.
We never forgett!
Len Ge hey you did the holocaust so don't tell us that ur sad
@@oskardirlewanger6492 I did not do that!
Len Ge I am a Jew and I have so much hate for people who blame other Germans now for what happened to so many people. You weren’t even born then! (Probably)! It’s just sick for people to hold a grudge for a certain country just because what people from their did. It’s like blaming a white person for being a salve owner.
They did not "do" the holocaust. Most germans had no idea what was happening because Hitler was feeding lies to the public. Besides that, stop throwing blame at someone who wasn't even alive when the holocaust was going on. Hey, I apologize for the unfortunate ignorance of someone who obviously knows nothing but how to throw blame around. Yes, 9/11 was horrible. I wasn't actually there, but to see the events unfold from a terrorist attack on my country made me & so many others feel incredibly helpless.
@@amyowensmobile I was born in the 2000er and neither I or my parents can do anything for it! It is terrible what happened there, but I have nothing to do with it!
I cant imagine the horror these guys went through, their heroes, bless their souls
Me being claustrophobic I would lose my mind being in an uncomfortable position only seeing pitch black surrounded by sharp pieces of debris.
"There's nothing i can do here" broke me
Jesus what these people went thru is unfathomable.I imagine some victims were alive for a time-yet trapped after each collapse.Heartbreaking
1:50 anybody else see someone dead on the left of the screen
KING ILLAGER if you watched the movie you would know he was the third guy to survive the collapse, tried to help the other, when another building fell he got really injured, looked at his best friend, then... shot himself.
Redsauce 57 he shot himself? I thought he was dying from that huge thing that fell on him and he just gave up and shot in the air for no reason
@@uncutgem3rm504 he got crushed by that huge piece of debris and fired his gun to desperately try and alert potential rescuers to his presence.
The Big Griffon no😂 he shot himself because he was tired of the pain and tried to rescue his friends but couldn’t
He shot himself earlier in the movie
“I can’t believe this is happening! Not in my whole goddamned life!”
I can’t imagine the horror they went through when trapped under there, not knowing if they would survive or die, not knowing if they’d see their families again.

So sad. The miracle is that those two men survived. Even though they didn’t die, I believe they tried their best to sacrifice for that mission to save the lives of victims during that horrific accident that took place at the Twin Towers

0:14 **insert Ghast scream**
Sorry, I shouldn't really be joking about it. So real. So horrific. What strong and brave soldiers those firefighters were. Hope the families effected by this disaster are doing well. ):}
They found skeletons and body parts in debris these guys were real lucky
In that case, I’m guessing those skeletons were the people that jumped from the towers. It makes sense that they would lose their skin since they impacted the ground from such a high place.
There both great actors
Golden Leo yes they are
I cannot imagine how much people got trapped I feel sad for them salute all firefighter's that died 😢
1:36 the reason the gun is triggering is because its so hot its setting off the gun powder in the gun.
Today it’s been 19 years sience 9/11. I live in Zaragoza, Spain, here we have a World Trade Center (Two towers) too. Not as high as Twin Towers but it’s big, my aunt works there and a part of me is allways scared because I think this horrible event could repeat there. R.I.P All workers of Twin Towers
This movie is incredibly well done
I think that this and lord of war are the best movies Nicolas cage has ever done
windtalkers; hold my beer👀😂
I can’t believe it happened still to this today 20 years later
I would go crazy if I was trapped like that, I'm claustrophobic & I don't like tight spaces, especially if you can't move
I can only imagine what was going through their mind at that point
KNOWING your trapped and you have no clue what happened outside and not knowing if anybody would even come find you sad all around
i cant imagine what that must have been like trapped like that. an absolute nightmare of nightmares.
This marks the 19th year since this tragic event. There were lots of people who have lost loved ones. R.I.P.
I couldn’t imagine how bad it would feel to have your knees crushed together and and being burn and u physically can’t move it’s like torture 😢😢
Emergency workers killed in the September 11 attacks. Of the 2,977 victims killed in September 11 attacks 412 were emergency workers in New York City who responded to the World Trade Center. This included: 343 firefighters (including a chaplain and two paramedics) of the New York City fire department (FDNY);
Congratulations, you can copy/paste from Wikipedia. Good job
I can’t believe this happened in real life I really do feel bad for the people that got injured and even the ones that were trying to help them it’s really sad
Twin tower:💀 human in twin tower:💀
“Will! Get your mind right!”*Screams his lungs out in the middle of a conversation*
Because the pain of having both his legs crushed settled in quickly
I remember two years ago. My Language teacher phoned someone who saved a man's life under the rubble of either the 1st or 2nd tower. I'll never forget that day. He seemed like a pretty good man and I can't say enough how he must have felt spending so many hours trying to get one man out of debris.
2:00 me when I die in fortnite
Sorry for the family's who lost their loved ones 💔🌹
RIP to all of the people that died that day I hope nothing like this happens again
This is one of the best movies ive seen.
If you get the chance, watch the DVD with commentary. Will tells all about what it was like in there. Truly harrowing stuff.
When i was very little, maybe 3 years old. i watched this movie while my mom and dad were sleeping. i was quite fascinated by it. I am to this day.
Man this makes us feel fortunate but my heart goes out to those who lost loved ones that day
1:43 was that a dead person? (Not being mean)
Rip to anyone who lost their lives, and to anyone who lost their loved ones, bless your heart
Yea it was the guy who died of blood loss he shot his gun in the air to grab their attention to them look up Anthony Penzouo sorry for bad spelling.
I stopped at the frame where it’s lit up. Looks more like he got crushed by that piece of concrete
@@parquito4395 *Anthony Pennzoil**
FNFDude45 i think in the movie he shot himself because right after he shot he immediately died
They were 5 officers that went into the building to help ppl. Officer McLoughlin is the guy trapped down further than officer Jimeno who was the guy who was yelling “ I Can’t Believe This Is Happening”. Officer Dom Pezzulo was the guy who was trapped with them both and tried to save Jimeno but died after a huge piece fell on him then he shot in the air then died. Officer Antonio Rodrigues was the guy who saved Jimeno’s life after switching places with him so if they didn’t switch spots Jimeno would had died and Rodrigues would had survived but after the collapse Rodrigues didn’t make it. And the final officer was Chris unknown last name, he was the last guy to get the gear they needed to help people after being trapped on the top of the building. Both Rodrigues and Chris died from the collapse, McLoughlin and Jimeno were trapped and saved, and Dom Pezzulo died after huge piece fell on him
0:35 I think the second tower collapsed
I don't think so. Pezzulo died during the second collapse, which I'm surprised isn't a clip, so my guess would be tower 7.
Imagine being sick and thinking your unlucky on that day....then watch this on the news about the place you work at.........
No "not the bees" Nicholas Cage jokes happening here
Nick Cage is such an underrated actor
why does that dude look like immortal technique
cause he was dancing with the devil XD
I can't even imagine being in that situation I am so sad when I think about those poor people trapped and killed inside the tower😣
Watching this now I can feel the pain they went through.
got dragged along to this movie when I was 8 and am now just remembering this scene in 2021. this surely didn't give me any psychological damage 🙃
This is so realistic. How did they make it look so real?
2006 Editing was already very good
It's a true story that's why
@@GhostActual206 umm it was too hot in there so the gun went off by itself that's how guns work.
I like how the gun is firing when the slide is locked back.
Well it's because the rounds themselves were firing off due to the extreme heat. That's why they say "his gun's cooking off"

It was intense in the theater. In real life I'm sure it was horrific.

Its really hurt watching this innocent people suffer and tortured like this.
Imagine the luck of this men not getting their head crushed from all those debris.
this moment is most extremely sad..
beastmodethef5 yes it is. Being trapped in that rubble is a disturbing nightmare
No it didn't because Pezzulo one of the officers had used gun to alert rescuers to show where Jimeno and McLoughin were. He did that before he died. He died because of the fatal injuries caused by collapse of the North Tower.
That looks so uncomfortable. Plus with all that soot on your face
At least you get to enjoy a sauna for free
Yeah, along with how thirsty, and hungry you'd be from being under that rubble all that time, along with how hot it was, while wearing police uniforms for that matter too! It truly was literally Hell on Earth for those brave, poor souls that day also.
