- a personal project i began since march. honestly i'm surprised at my speed, but i did slow down to take care of myself too.
truth be told, this entire thing was an impulsive project turned serious. i didnt even consider modeling the sphere as within my skillset until last month.
anyways, this is the world trade center. the twin sentinels. the twin towers. new york's icons... until 2001. i may have been born in 2003, but i sure would like to remember this world wonder during its storied life, not for its horrible demise.

the song (windless) was unfortunately associated with tragedy, loss, and horror, it being a song played in the muzak system installed as 9/11 went on.
but truth be told its beauty reminds me of soaring on the wind (funny enough, the title of the finished version). these twins stood tall for decades, like a cloud fortress acting like a haven for people.
i think this song represents the life of the old complex.
Also known as the Icecream Truck Song. You did wonderful with everything including SkyGate, Ideogram, WTC Tapestry, Cloud Fortress, everything sculpture wise."
@@WORLDTRADECENTERMUZAKCHANNEL AWWWW THANK YOUUUUUU!! (its insane how w4sp and co. found it istg, oh and im also in the discord btw !!)
tho i still havent modeled the foreplaza (and cloud fortress yet,,,) but yeah.

You must definitely render these in VR!!! They are astounding. Please look into it🙌🙌
This is beautiful! In a small way...you brought them back to life like that day never happened!
Thank you for bringing back my childhood. I miss those buildings here in NYC.
🥺🥺 i really wish i got to see it for myself tbh
i saw a home movie by a filipino family during their 2000 visit. i was nearly in tears because in another world that could have been my own :'> hearing my language spoken while under that place's shadow was a moving experience fr
thank you. im glad (and i hope that for one brief moment), they're still standing and completing nyc.
@@chaeyeonieearts I went on the roof of it as a child back in 1994, and I was fourteen when they were destroyed here in NYC. I sadly witnessed their destruction. I still have 9/11 trauma. Looking back on WTC videos helps with the trauma, but on the anniversary, the tears flow.
This is a really cool project! I love this! I never got to see the towers but was enthralled by them as a little kid when I saw them in movies, most notably Home Alone 2. I was about 7 when they came down. I think you're doing this place well and it'd be cool to see if this can turn into a tour/explorable space. Coolest project I've seen up there with Titanic Honor and Glory. Well done. I'll see about tossing a few bucks your way sometime.
would be cool to have them in City Skylines 2, they are already in the game before, however having them in HD with more details would be great
I really hope this turns into a Titanic Honor and Glory type game
would have to figure out a way to get this working in ue first!!
but i might, im not sure. yet. im only good at modelling, but i still have to learn UE 🥹
thank you sm tho ~🤍
Maybe you could reach out to the Titanic: Honor and Glory team and ask them how to use UE, especially when it comes to the VR aspect.
They might even help out on your WTC project, considering they’ve also worked on other tragedies besides Titanic, such as the Broker Train Derailment of Woodbridge, NJ
@@Jigger_Chucker_9000 MMMMMM real, actually im alr moots with some in certain social media sites but honestly i feel a little shy T_T plus. theyre. uhhhhh
busy too? so yeah
BUT i really wanna team up w/ them indeed if any opportunity comes up fr
Amazing video
Amazing just absolutely beautiful, I hope you post more of these, it’s so good.
WAIT HI fancy seeing you here, also saw your video with the hi-8 footage
thank you 🥹🥹 im planning more stuff soon but im slowing down by quite a bit--
@@chaeyeonieeartsDoes this include 7WTC and the bridge connecting it to the plaza?
@@idk-cb8di yes! all 7 buildings and necessary details will have exteriors modeled to detail
might attempt interior and mall, but it feels like a daunting task ngl
@@chaeyeonieearts It would also be amazing to model the Twin Towers 2 that many people wanted instead of the freedom tower, if you can
This video is a masterclass on how to create a tasteful tribute that honors and celebrates the lives of not only the World Trade Center and its buildings, but also the people who worked there that we lost that Tuesday morning in September 2001, and the music is sublimely perfect as it continues to carry the weight it gained that day with such grace. I am a sucker for jazz, but I never really fell in love with it because of its association with 9/11. I fell in love with the song because of the beautiful melody.
THANK YOU 🥺🥺
oml im so so glad that i got to portray what i want here. its a reminder- no- showcase, that this place made 3 decades of memories, after all.
people worked there, people came and went, people made memories, laughed, cried, had dates, or even just shared memories by making a quick stop at one of the mall food stalls.
idk. yeah, that day happened. i just watched an entire recording of the news and despite the fact i wasnt even born when that day happened i still feel shock and just *shudder* when i see images unprepared :'> i hope i also got to give tribute too. we mourn the place's loss, but with death was once life, and life deserves to be celebrated too 🤍
Would be brilliant to have this sync up with VR headsets at the site.
🥺🥺YKW. yeah.
(why do i feel more ambitious or something but i still have ways to learn before getting there HELP)
@@chaeyeonieearts I'd help you if I could but I'm hopeless with technology. Good luck with your journey 😊
Bravo. This is excellent!
thanks a lot !!
definitely not telling yall the number of deaths i had just from modelling the sphere :')
that thing got me cooked yall
It’s like they never went away…
i really wish so (part of me wants to pretend they're still here :3)
@@chaeyeonieearts I actually created in my head a fantasy world where my fursona was in New York City getting his minor passport renewed in the summer of 2001 - just a month or two before 9/11 - at the New York City office of the US State Department on the campus of the World Trade Center, after which his guardian took him to enjoy lunch at the Windows on the World on the 107th floor of the North Tower. However, due to the restaurant's strict formal dress code at the time and the blatant disregard and contempt my Buttskis have for any kind of regulation on how they choose to dress, we were forced to opt for one of the more casual establishments on the 106th floor of the South Tower. In this fantasy timeline, the Twin Towers survived 9/11 because the original scenes associated with it in my head depict 9/11 as nothing more than a small plane (probably a Cessna 172) flying into the buildings as a result of extremely poor weather conditions: dense fog and a line of tornado-warned supercell thunderstorms. The small plane had mechanical issues that limited its speed to just a few miles per hour above the stall velocity, so in addition to the buildings designed in an alternate reality to withstand an impact from a Concorde at Mach 2, a little Cessna flying at all of 65 miles per hour wasn't going to do much beyond break a few windows and slightly dent the perimeter columns at an impact level of the 108th floor of the North Tower, which also happened to ignite a natural gas cloud on those floors. This fantasy timeline saw the restaurant get renamed to Windows on America and had its onerous reservation system and dress code abolished; gone were the days of having to reserve your table up to two months in advance and having to dress in a full tuxedo and dinner jacket to eat there. On top of everything, this alternate timeline has the terrorists apprehended before they could get on the planes.

This Is amazing👍
thank you so much!!
Wow, this is wonderful! Thank you for creating!
thank you so so much !!! 🤍🤍
It's very detailed
Beautiful work! 👏
thank you so much !! 🤍
I'm not saying it's a good thing they got destroyed, but i think it would have looked really old compared to the buildings we have now, it feels just too much 90s kinda building but just taller, still it amazing recreation !
mmmmm yeah, that's the thing about time i guess. imo there's something nice about older things that newer stuff cant match tbh
and. fun fact--- if they were built in the ph instead of ny, it would become a presumed cultural property as based on our heritage laws because 2023 is 50 years from 1973~~
so yeah. my point is all over the place HAHA but again there's something about older things that draw me in fr
also thank you so much !!
@@chaeyeonieearts yeah me too, i really like old ships and old planes from 1900s but idk i just feel like the twin towers wouldnt fit the modern manhatan, thats my opinion.
um, it opened in 1973
@@prismaticmarcus i know, but i feel like it looks more like the 80-90s buildings but while also beeing just too 90s compared to the rest of manhatan
Old like the empire state building? Nobody says that building is old.... Twin towers are more futuristic
Amazing renderings. I hope you’ll be able to someday, somehow make it accessible to everyone! But till then, great job ❤
thank you so much !! aaa once i learn stuff and hit specific milestones then ill think about doing that 🤍
Underrated
thank you!! 🥺 cant wait to make a newer version, so many things and tweaks since i made this.
definitely church street and the lower plaza buildings should be modeled when i do make it ~ but right now im gonna rest for a bit HAHA
Very impressive, you should be proud of this
thank you so much!! yes i do feel proud, for a project that literally began because of an impulsive decision-?
*even if this wip video is pretty unpolished and there are some things i would've changed to make this one better* :'>
Is this going to become an experience in Unreal Engine or something?
hopefully, when i actually learn how to use UE and make this. not. lag. id probably do something like that!
right now much of it still needs polishing :'>
