Many Americans, and others worldwide, knew immediately that it was an Al Queda attack as soon as American 11 hit the North Tower. The U. S. Government has blamed a "failure of imagination" for their failure to adopt the necessary measures to protect the public from attack. Rice specifically testified that no one could conceive that planes would be hijacked and used as weapons. In actual fact, though, a warning had been issued to all airlines months before 9/11 warning of potential hijackings and, on 9/11 itself, the U. S. Military was conducting a war exercise stimulating the hijacking of a large jet which was then crashed by terrorists into the U. N. Building in New York. There was no failure of imagination, only a failure to protect the American people and others unfortunate enough to be affected by the attacks on 9/11.

This movie had me in tears when I watched it a long time ago. It's an awesome movie.

My dad volunteered after the collapse to feed the firefighters. One of them gave him a piece marble floor from one of the towers.

Tomorrow is the 20th anniversary just want to say thank you to everyone that risked their lives for us.
I remember the 1993 bombing of the world trade center in NYC and both of the towers shook! Then September 11 2001
the buildings fell! They were beautiful buildings and everything changed after 9/11/01 and I wish it never happened

My dad worked in the Navy, he is still alive. He worked for 6 years. 1996-2002. He heard it and he was in Virginia and he heard it on a television. Great thing he worked for our lives.

This might be a bad story but it’s also a love story my friends parents met in 9/11 they worked in the north tower and were in it when it got hit well there dad was and he basically liked her and she worked for him and he ran to her house across the Brooklyn bridge and halfway there he found her and made her come with him home and he told her he will never let her out of his sight because she didn’t know that it was happening she was on her way and if it wasn’t for him she could’ve entered the south tower and it could’ve collapsed on her. That’s a true love story🇺🇸❤️ 19 years ago today ✊

I don’t know whats worse surviving the explosion only to not make it out the building or surviving the explosion only to get trapped and die slowly.

My dad was a doctor rushing to the towers and he barely survived the smoke
Makes me realize how many people where stuck not just dead or stuck and about to die but the people that where stuck and wherent found for weeks
