    I have browsed a ridiculous number of beginner loom knit videos, and you are, by leaps and bounds, the clearest, most concise instructor i have found. Your voice is warm and encouraging, you have minimal extraneous commentary and your expectation that to be a beginner does not necessarily mean you are not intelligent is tremendously gratifying. I have subscribed and will continue to use and recommend your tutorials!

    Newbie here and wanted to thank you for the thoroughness of your videos and the way you explain what you’re doing! I made an attempt at a blanket using this video, but I used Bernat Blanket yarn and my blanket was so loose and didn’t hold a shape and I wasn’t sure if I did something wrong with the tightness of the figure 8’s or if that gauge of that yarn is just too small to do figure 8’s with on the zippy?

    • @hellomsyarn
      @hellomsyarn  2 года назад

      Even my blanket is quite airy. The figure 8 stitch is loose by its nature, and the gauge of this loom is so large. Maybe try a larger yarn as you mentioned. Otherwise maybe the stockinette stitch or the rib stitch would be denser. Thank you for sharing and for watching.

    Thank you for making this video! I love doing the figure stitch on my S loom. I love how you did the binding off, it’s sooo neat and clean!!!

      Hi, unfortunately no. This stitch requires a long loom/double rake. Your loom needs two rows.

    Can I use thin yarn?

    • @hellomsyarn
      @hellomsyarn  2 года назад

      This blanket is already very loosely knit. You can try using multiple strands at a time to see if it's dense enough, and not too holey.

      You can just skip the colour changes.

      Yes, it's my camera. When I take the same photo with my camera and my phone, sometimes the colours turn out differently, depending on the device.
