Two Ponds And A Brook

A message and a video from the Commodore himself:
I went yakin’ yesterday (10/6/24) and I tried a new place…Moeckel Pond in Windham NH. Adjacent to Moeckel is Rock Pond and they are connected…so I got two ponds for the price of one. I also explored Golden Brook…the source of Moeckel Pond. The foliage was peak and it was sunny all day. There’s a lot of history with this pond. There have been at least two mills (a lumber and a grist mill) at this sight. To power the first mill a dam was constructed across Golden Brook in the late 1700’s raising the water level and creating the pond. Originally the pond was called Simpson Pond and some maps to this day refer to it as such (Google Earth).
