Here's a short visit to a put-in that we had heard of but never yet visited. The launching system was unusual and somewhat clumsy to use, but we got over it and into the water. Although the light was prime, the wind was a bit bothersome. Nevertheless we completely enjoyed our visit and hope to return to the Nashua in the Fall. Monday-September 9th 2024-early afternoon

The Commander and I visited the water-meadows upstream from the Bohanon bridge. The weather was at the eleven level. We wended around the narrow stream and scooted over a quality beaver dam. We visited the Nissitissit in late Spring on our annual voyage to appreciate the Great Laurels. The "bathtub" at Bohanon bridge in Brookline NH was our put-in, with our landing spot being at the Beaver Brook bridge. We were floating from 10AM to 2PM . Sunday was an especially nice day to make our first annual oneway downstream trip on the Nissitissit. The water level was high enough to carry us through some of the areas that have been , in the past, difficult to traverse. Perfect weather. Tuesday February 27 2014 The Commander and I visited the Nissitissit in order to take advantage of this rare warm day. We launched from "The Bathtub" just downstream from Bohanon bridge and proceeded upstream. The air was filled with birdsong , the constant susurration of the current, and the rythmic splashes of our paddles. A day on the river is a gift that we are grateful to accept.

Our first paddle of the year on the Squannie, February 10, 2024. The Commander and I enjoyed the logjam-punctuated equilibrium of this calm day paddling on the Squannacook. Our goal was, as always, to enjoy the steady state of change on the river's environs. Also...to crunch through some ice.
