Primavera Paddle In The Shadow Of The Moon

Our first Spring paddle was upon the Nashua river, especially along side channels that were normally not accessible. We visited Nod Brook and pondered the collection of ancient metal detritus abandoned on the surrounding banks.
We enjoyed the eclipse, indirectly because of the clouds, as the quality of light changed during the totality ( just take a look).
Although the day was warm (68F) the water was cold (45F), nevertheless we saw quite a few turtles, one even winked at us just before the eclipse.

This is really a dream. The hypnotic motion of the water, the surreal light, the muted sounds of nature & passers-by, the contemplative tone of the narrative -- all an allegory of time. All pass within the wink of a turtle's eye!
