Hello everyone hope your having a great day!!!! I was not trying to have a bad attitude! I see a lot of dislikes on this video. I just wanted to say I have lived here for 22 years and this has been going on since I was a little kid!!! I have had people take my fishing gear from me..... yell at me..... and even get in my face.... and screamed at me.... All I am trying to do is fish!!!! So before you put a dislike on this video you have to understand this happens about 5 times a month! Catch Big Fish! Have A great day!!!!
He is looking out for community, next time he sees you he will probably say Hi. It that how you respond to everyone? If I saw you fishing id probably ask if you were getting any bites. No big deal.
Effen Truth yea tryna protect the community from a very dangerous fisherman. How was he bein the dick the guy approached him sayin hes not from there. Maybe if the guy just came up and politely ask him if he lived there instead of being a dick and tryna assume he woulda reacted different.
Screw that guy. He didn’t approach you in a nice manner anyway. You should have told him to pound salt. It’s none of his business. You were too nice honestly
Whats weird is how people assume fishermen trash the lakes and so on. In my experience, fishermen want the nature to be as nicely kept as possible. As it means better environment for the wildlife including fish. My old man would bring me fishing and camping and always said "we leave it just as clean as when we leave". Thats how it should be.
Let me tell you how much bullshit that statement is when you get lose fishing line in trees on bushs hooks everywheres beer cans garbage yet they want it clean
You clearly didn't see that assholes attempts at running this dude off the lake. Fuck that guy and you too for thinking he was in the right for lying and trying to intimidate him
Yes. But....this is actually a really cool example of how a story can change so quickly. This guy recorded the encounter, we watched it, and then he summarized it for but completely changed everything he said. It's really wild how people do that. When we describe our interactions with other people, it's like we use it as an opportunity to say everything out loud that we we thought in our heads. Such a wild difference between what actually happened and this guys summary afterwards. Fascinating stuff in my opinion. Anyway, no idea how this 4YR video popped up for me but there you go haha
People think the suburbs are all peaceful....they not homies, its a dog eat dog world in this jungle. You have gangs of golfing dads, neighborhood watches, and gaggles of PTA Moms roaming the hood all day n night, till 7:30pm sometimes even far as 9pm long as they dont got church in the morning.
Id rather live in the suburbs where people give a shit than live in the middle of a shit ghetto where I can brag about how "hood" I am because I keep it real and now all the people who do electric slide in unison can give me fist bumps. Get the fuck outa here. Sounds like you envy the suburbs with a blonde wife that let you fuck her whenever you want
Bush Wookie Yeah, but what about the little kids who do drive-bys on tricycles with Nerf guns? Are you aware of how many Nerf-related casualties there were in the first half of 2018 alone? The stats are pretty ugly, I can tell ya that much. I mean, that's just one more reason not to fuck with the suburbs whatsoever, but hey, you do you, man. Just don't turn your back to anyone when roaming your neighborhood cul-de-sac after 8:00, because Connor's right. Shit gets maaad real out there.
To me this looks like an HOA shared property. So it’s private property but it’s intended use is for the residents. But either way, being an HOA (assuming I’m correct) then it’s no surprise to me that this happens regularly.
The guy was not rude or aggressive. He was looking out for the good of the area. Once he knew you were from the area he backed off and commented on the A-holes who leave trash around. If I lived there I'd be happy to have folks like him looking out for the best interest of the area.
He did not accuse him of littering. Once he knew he was from there he was good enough to explain. There are lots of people littering. Never said "you are littering". This was not aggressive. Aggressive would have been "You need to leave, or I'm calling the cops". Rude would have been "Hey asshole!" He said one time "You're not from around here". He didn't yell it. In fact the OP said What? That's why he repeated it. Once the OP assured him he was a resident the entire conversation was about other people littering and trespassing.
Implying something is not aggressive. Aggressive is an adverb, not a verb (look it up). The other guy was not aggressive in his manner, tone, attitude. The OP clearly has a chip on his shoulder.
I don't have an issue with a guy just making sure the community pond isn't being littered in or destroyed. So long as he remains respectful and polite then good on him. This is how we as humans should all be acting with each other over shared or community property
Dude was EXTREMELY passive aggressive, bordering on actively aggressive. If you listen for it you can hear the adrenaline tapering off, he approached this fisherman looking for a confrontation. If the fisherman had not stated that he lived there, at the very least the walker would have raised his voice and threatened to call the cops; guaranteed.
I like how this guy says the other guy has no life but if this really created this much drama for him, he clearly doesn’t have much going on. That was the most benign “argument” I have ever seen.
This is the Pot calling the Kettle black. What a boring life he leads if this was drama to him and he feels compelled to mislabel his video... The guy merely came up to him. Confront is a stronger word than what actually happened. Then his explanation of the video is longer than the actual video of the supposedly drama-less confrontation (what confrontation?). Why do we create hostility in our minds when there was none in real life? This poster needs to get a life.
I know it's hard to understand but most people don't want Nosey Nellies in their business. This dude was minding his own business and the guy immediately pulled the "You don't live around here." Just some behavior that white people like to engage in because you all can never mind your own business.
You absolutely have to do a bass fishing video where you go to private ponds and wear a shirt saying "I am deaf so please use sign language" and watch them go nuts trying to kick you out while you keep pointing to the shirt. Some will finally get pissed and write down on paper telling you to leave. That's when you pull up the top shirt and show the second shirt saying "Sorry, I cant read either!" I promise it will go viral if you do this prank.
Dude seemed fine to me. He's probably pissed about the trash being left and he picked it up himself. Also bro if he's on YOU'RE property then it's different but it seems to be a community pond so truthfully it's not you're pond. Sure the guy seemed agitated at first but once you explained he seemed fine. I'd say he maybe a little nosey at most.
Dude seemed fine to me. He's probably pissed about the trash being left and he picked it up himself. NO EXCUSE, NEEDS TO MIND HIS OWN F/G BUSINESS ! I WOULD HAVE KO'D HIM and YOU Adam
@@patron40silver Ah, you beat me to it. People misusing you're/your or there/their/they're is a pet peeve of mine. People think it's not a big deal, but words matter. Learn to use the language correctly is what I say.
You live in a nice community that people want to keep nice for everyone that lives there. The guy started up a friendly conversation (nothing rude and you were even laughing) just keeping an eye on the neighborhood. Not once did he "try to kick you out of your own pond." I love having neighbors like that... I never worry about my house or pets when I leave my house because of good neighbors like him.
Liam Martinez Are you suggesting he was being harassed ? I genuinely believe the guy was annoyed at whoever was dropping litter he went over to chat and realised that he was just a kind fella fishing so he dropped it. They started talking about fish and it ended well.. he then took his camera and started blabbing about what bad guy the dude was. I'd stay away from the fisherman out of the two people. He's shown more about himself in this video if you ask me. The older dude probably went back home thinking what a nice guy the fisherman was only to have a video made about what a douche he is.. I've seen comments like " just keep fishing"... But he didn't, he made a big story about it and then uploaded it. I don't know man, I know the guy had an attitude but it was for a reason, once he figured was local and not dropping litter he backed off... I really don't see the issue here.
I think this guy defused the situation perfectly he controlled the conversation by initiating contact and kept it from getting into an arguement. There is no shame is voicing your frustrations.
Yup. The conversation at the pond doesn't exactly match up with what he's bragging about face to face with the camera. Does he think no one will notice?
to be fair the guy sounded a lot nicer then most people and just wants to keep the area he lives in clean, so i wouldn't be too mad at him. not to mention his posture even shows that hes not a aggressive person
Nah the dude needs to mind his own business and leave people alone. If he thought this guy might be doing something wrong he should watch from afar and call the actual authorities if he sees wrong doing.
@@thisfool89 Yes...imaging people talking to each other when they have a problem. No can not have that, lets waste the time and resources of the authorities instead.
@@ronrolfsen3977 or you could leave people the fuck alone and mind your business 🤷. If you think someone is doing something illegal call the cops. If they aren't leave them the fuck alone. It's not a hard concept to grasp.
Gordon c Yeah. I was expecting at least some verbal violence. But there was pretty much nothing. However, this did teach me something. Now I realise that when a couple of years ago I went to photograph the sea during stormy winds and happened to walk past a fisherman, I shouldn't have talked to him. I only asked him if fish bite when the sea is so stormy. He answered me it's okay, after which I continued on my way (I didn't take photos of him). However, based on this video he must have afterwards cursed me to his buddies, telling how some asshole came out of nowhere, bothered him, and tried to make him leave.
Ive had something similar happen recently. A buddy and i were fishing one of our favorite spots and someone walked up to us telling us that its private property. Were from the area so we knew dang well it was public access and when we said something he walked away. Whats up with people trying to stir trouble with fisherman for no reason??
Video says you got mad, but from what I seen, you didn’t get mad at all. And the guy didn’t say get out or you can’t fish here. He just said it wasn’t any fish in the pond. Another example of clickbait.
yup, I definitely agree with your comment. check out my post to this kid. I let him know about water on multiple properties. would have been funny if this kid was more like a man and got cocky like he is in his content post here. so that guy would have kicked him in the ass and stuck his head in the water.😂
Remember, you never know a stranger's mind. True the guy was mostly respectful, but first impressions set the tone for a whole encounter. Notice at 0:07 the OP said Hello fist, and actually made a genuine inquiry into the man's wellbeing, while the other guy immediately looked away (showing he had no interest in a friendly greeting or the OP's day/wellbeing) and literally started the exchange with "I take it you're not from around here." I'm autistic and borderline with bipolar disorder and social interactions are already very unpleasant/highly unwelcome for me. If a stranger approaches me like this while I'm trying to enjoy a peaceful activity, I would seriously consider going OFF so bad on this guy that he would be scared to approach anyone at any body of water ever again. He needs to be very careful about his "cop" mindset.
No. No, no, no, but I'm sorry - that's BS. Your disabilities are your own business, and I hope you are coping well with them. But the rest of the human race is not obligated to read your mind onsight, know instinctively what's going on with you, and modify their behaviour to appease you. Nobody wishes to make you feel uncomfortable or anxious, but you would be very wrong to choose to "go off so bad" on anybody who approached you like this guy did. Have you given any consideration at all to the fact that the person you chose to lose your shit with may also be autistic, on the spectrum, or possibly have mental health issues, and possibly as well as a disability? Now, read your first sentence again..."Remember, you never know a stranger's mind." Practice what you're trying to preach, please. And yes, I'm both on the spectrum, and have an anxiety disorder. Thanks.
I understand where this guy is coming from. I had a similar situation where a guy was trying to kick me off of his hunting land ... Until I told him that I had permission to be there because I was planning on buying the land. At this point he realized that I knew he didn't own the land and he changed his attitude. Most of these kind of people are at the age where they should not let these situations bother them to the point of confrontation.
This guy doesn’t own this pond lol he lives by it. That pond travels across multiple lots and is “owned” by the HOA. He probably shouldn’t be fishing there. And it’s definitely not his pond it was he would have told the guy “I own this pond” he didn’t bc he doesn’t haha
@@chancemccoy9221: Where's the 'NO FISHING' signs? If he isn't bothering anyone, nor throwing trash in it, what's the beef? Mind your own and nobody will mind yours.
More like passive aggressive, which is arguably worse. Has to take offense to everything and got emotional about the conversation. Couldn't address him about it, instead he's like,"No, I get it...I understand." Then goes behind his back to say how he really feels about it. Kind of a coward.
jacob suarez let them be who they are and quit calling people queer just because they replied to a comment just dislike the comment don't get sexuality involved 😑
Seems like a local resident tired of people littering and doing something about it. I would have thanked him for his vigilance and trying to keep the area clean.
uh, no. he was an assuming ass- 'you're not from here' was his opening line. If you're going to appoint yourself policeman, you should be very careful about how you approach people. this is the kind of attitude that creates problems when there wasn't one.
He's also not a cop and could mind his own business and leave people the fuck alone. If they are concerned watch from afar and call the actual authorities if the person is doing something wrong.
@@thisfool89 LOL what kind of weirdo calls the cops instead of just going to have a chat w/someone. Then this guy posts a video describing the opposite of what he's showing us. Mental illness is now the norm, THANKS DEMOCRATS
I don’t think he did anything wrong, dude you’re such a drama queen, it’s embarrassing you even uploaded this and yet alone exaggerated the whole thing, does the pond even belong to you? This guy was just concerned about the environment and he seemed to be an understanding guy. The way I see it, you’re the crazy one, you made up a different scenario in your head.
louis shimika Looks like you're a busybody yourself, just like that dishevelled, almost homeless looking guy in the video. Keep doing that until you interfere with someone for too much and for too long and then get hurt. When somebody is in a public area, that is not an invitation for you to approach and start asking questions. Nobody is obligated to pay attention to you or otherwise interact with you in any way. The bottom line is you're not important.
louis shimika naa he bitching, as soon as he said he did live there and he already caught fish that's it end of conversation you the type of nigga to bitch at anything yourself
stripervince1 Certainly people can be asses but, this was not one of those occasions. Although the guy who made the video could be described as a disingenuous drama queen.
Bullcrap. He immediately said "YOU DONT LIVE HERE" when dude lived there for 20 years. He was being a nosey bastard and if you are a nosey bastard then you probably have white privelege.
My cul-de-sac was really close back in the day. We would have bbqs and just bond with the neighbors. But nowadays with the the new younger neighbors, they dont want to do anything with the person on the other side of the wall. Im the last of the good old days
Seemed like a perfectly nice guy looking out for everyone that actually lives on the ponds. Maybe he didn't have to say you're not from around her as a statement but seemed like a decent enough guy to me.
wont get the clicks if there's no drama. comes out of no where? every one who would approach you comes from no where. . he seemed nice move on with the drama.
Absolutely but I've noticed that every comment that points this out to OP gets ignored but all those who support his antisocial stance get acknowledged.
@@johnotto4931 if you part owned a pond and randoms started turning up and fishing in it, would you want others to challenge them? If not everybody would eventually fish there since nobody ever challenged them; security- it's everybody's business.
I had very similar in my pond in one of my fields, a guy came over and told me I wasn't allowed to fish it. He even claimed that he had just called the police. I've no idea what people like this get out of being a prick but like you I'm pretty chilled and don't really like confrontation.
Daniel Milam ,hey your glass is half empty ya to bad so sad for you that you must be out here wasting your time like some public service announcer dik...probly looking for crak with hookkers just doesn't quite know how to bring that shit up lol
Its how the guy used his words like saying there's no fish in there which means he wants this gentleman to leave and also applying he hates the trash left behind
LOL...I grew up in a private lake community as a kid. Lived there for over 20 years and was part of the first generation to grow up there. New comers would always feel compelled to question everyone fishing or boating that they didn't recognize. It's a good thing, but make no mistake... they all approach you the same way like this guy did. They never introduce themselves and apologize for having to ask the forthcoming question...like, "Hi, my name is Bill. How ya doin'? Sorry to bother you, but I've gotta ask if you're a member. Thanks! Have a great day and good luck to ya"! Most people approach you with a confrontational attitude because they have no idea that you're a longstanding member of the community. We'd be ice fishing and watch a car pull up...a guy would step out of his car and march several hundred feet out where we were and interrogate us like were escaped convicts. "I don't recognize you or your car. Where do you live and what's your last name". Then you have the ones that come over and pretend to make small talk before asking the question that everyone knows is coming. Either way...you don't open a conversation or approach someone that may be in question with a line like that unless you're a dick.
I understand brother, I have the same problem with people who cannot seem to mind their own business instead of trying to get involved, UN invited , into other peoples business
Bob Martin Those people who dislike this video are PROBABLY people who cannot mind their own business. They need to annoy you so you get upset and act stupid like they are.
Actually, I would appreciate it if someone was watching out for my pond. If someone other than you was on your property, good on that guy for confronting him and questioning him. Good neighbour as far as I'm concerned.
Despite all the negative comments, I agree with you because I had the bad same experience while fishing with my granddaughters on the community pond where we live. That day, a lady came to bother me on 2 different occasions. The 2nd time I've had it, it was very irritating since we were having a good time, I've showed her my DL (with current address) and when I asked her if she was a HOA appointee in charge of the pond, she responded that she wasn't so, I yell at her to go home to attend her own business, since we were following all the park rules, there was no reason for her harassment.
I've had self important morons try to impose their cr-p on my peaceful day and try to ruin it on (thankfully rare) occasions. No excuse. What is it with some people that they have to but into somebody else's business and try to ruin somebody's day?
I don't see a problem, he probably should have asked if he was from around there, but seemed like a reasonable guy. used to be more neighbors made it a point to stay aware of what was going on in there neighborhood, and I can tell you at least from my experience it was a lot safer for children to play outside because of that too.
I've never gone fishing with self protection unless it's for protection from wildlife. Just sayin'... Don't think a gun would've made this go better. Lol😅
How would he have known it was your pond? He actually sounded quite reasonable to me. At least you know that some people are looking after the pond owner's interests. Your narrative on what happened was somewhat different to the video. I suppose that's how people develop different takes on a situation.
From the prospective of the fisherman. Im not doing anything wrong, you are not the cops. Leave me the fuck alone. I'm trying to relax and enjoy my self and I absolutely don't need or want anyone to come up and bother me especially when I'm not doing anything wrong.
I think the guy was just trying to do the right thing. He did say he was tired of picking up trash after strangers. i think you handled him nicely though, not getting upset.
um.... Innocent until proven guilty? Sound familiar? He is a nosy neighbor. Americans are scared of everything and think everyone is out to get them. smdh... When will people realize it is the media that has convinced them of this tripe? It is the most basic of tactics... Divide and conquer.
ReverenXero the only person scared was the punk kid fishing obviously or he would've said something instead of talking smack after. It must suck to be agraid to talk to a stranger! There is nothing wrong with community policing (actually works great), if there were more of it this country (cities in particular) maybe it wouldn't be turning into the shithole it is.
My God the injustice you have experienced. You sir are the martyr of the fishing community and a true American hero. May that man who dared question you look back in the history books someday and remember the evils he brought upon you and that pond.
Does the pond actually belong to you? Or was it put in by the developers of the community? Or did the guy who approached you own the land and dig the pond? The reason I ask, is that it matters quite a bit. I actually own a small lake. I bought the land, paid to have it dug, and ski on it. It is VERY annoying when people (usually young guys in their 20-30s) just pull up and start fishing the lake. It got so bad we had to put up a gate first. People would actually drive around the gate to get into the area to fish. So we put up no trespassing/hunting /fishing signs. Still young boys would just walk up and start fishing. So I can understand the guy's concern. Esp if he does not recognize you as "living there". Just because a pond or lake is within a subdivision, and you live in the subdivision does not make the pond "your pond".
I'm 99% sure this kid doesn't own the pond. He lives in the area at his parents house and calls it his pond when it's obviously put up by the development.
Hey man. I get kicked out of pond in my area by random people all the time. I live in an area with an absurd amount of fishing ponds so when someone kicks me out I just leave. I’m going to remember some of the stuff you said to this man in this video for next time someone confronts me. Thank you for standing up for the fishing community.
It’s always weird to me when people get angry about somebody doubting some thing that you know to be true. Just… let them be wrong if they don’t believe you for some reason. That man’s beliefs about the fish stock in your pond will alter nothing about your life 😅
He's discreetly telling you to keep the pond clean. All you had to do was reassure him that you always clean up after yourself. He wasn't trying to kick you out.
Well you see he lives in a gated community so it is his pond... Its everyone in the gated community pond and as a gated community if fee and issues with the pond occur, he would receive a bill in the mail that he MUST pay. When either him or his parents moved in, they were made aware of this. The issues with this gated community is that they didnt set property line of the houses all the way to the ponds edge so that all members of the community can walk around the pond freely. Now some asshole decides to walk around the ponds edge policing everything and telling people they aren't allowed as if hes security. There i explained it to you, hopefully now you'll understand that a pond can be owned.
Bill Anderson pay taxes and you will never be free.... live in america and you will never be free, shit live almost anywhere and you will not be "free"... the only way to be truley "free" is to live %100 off the land miles away from any civilization. Im sure there are some canibal tribes in south america that would love to have you....
He seemed like a perfectly nice enough Guy to me just looking out for others and trying to keep the ponds clean (we need more people like that). I think it's good that someone is prepared to walk half a mile to confront you and make sure you weren't throwing litter around. I magine what the pools could be like without people like him?
What? If he had just asked about the trash, your comment would make sense. He was rude and insulting, but maybe his lack of yelling is considered "perfectly nice enough". He wasn't "looking out for others" in the kind sense.
The concerned citizen had 1/2 mile to see that the fisherman did not litter and nothing would change for the better with people like him because he didn`t pick up the litter he was complaining about. Maybe like the Elvis Presly song goes 'A little less conversation and little more action please"! Peace and brother love to you and all.
I wish my neighbors would watch out for my neighborhood like that, everyone is so surprised when something happens but they don't bother checking on people or strange things happening around here.
@@christopheramos5351I sure can't say I know all the people that live around me. Let alone all the people around town. Knowing people doesn't really mean anything.

I have started to carry a gun and I always set up like I have other people with me. You be safe and have fun. I open carry so when they walk up they know I am not going to be a victim.
I didn’t think that guy who approached was angry or aggressive. He didn’t ask directly if you had permission, and he probably should have, but overall he wasn’t too bad. A teeny bit passive aggressive, maybe, but like he said, he may be fed up with people trashing the place
True nothing belongs to anyone so if you think you own anything other than your body your a dum dum. But people use the saying "mine" all the time, it's just an expression. Fuck fucking fuck fuck.
When my wife and I were having our house built, we were almost half the age (21/24) of everyone else in the area. The guy next door kept telling me to leave the property and finally called the Sheriff. The Deputy showed up and the neighbor was demanding I be arrested for trespassing. He was relentless and kept saying there's no way "a young kid can own property in this neighbourhood". FTR, the area is a mile from the ocean and all of my neighbours were E7+ in rank, with most of them being O4+ Officers. I stayed silent because I knew I was fine and getting into a row with a MSgt when you're a LCpl isn't helpful. The Deputy came over to me and I showed him my building contract. He smiled and asked what I'd like to happen as we walked back over to my neighbour who was still on my property. demanding I be arrested. I smiled and said I'd like my neighbour trespassed and arrested if he ever stepped foot on my property again. The Deputy pulled out his book and began citing the guy. He was livid and his wife began cracking on him for not simply asking me instead of accusing me. She was very nice and the MSgt turned out to be okay too. I found early on that asking is easier.
Not only did he upload this truly tedious video, you just know he told everyone he knows all about it. Imagine being sat next to him on a long haul flight.
Has open conversation with neighbor telling his whole life story on laughs and casts *Records himself exaggerating his feelings on what he would’ve said*
Just once I would like to see the fisherman point to a house nearby and say "see that house right there? That's my house...I live there." These people who do nothing but harass us while trying to fish need to be dealt with.
I was hoping that when the guy approached and said, "There's no fishing allowed here" that this young man would've answered, "Oh YEAH, well There's NO SWIMMING ALLOWED EITHER!" and shoved the guy into the pond. Then, when the guy was splashing around in the water, tell him, "SSSSSSH! You're scaring the fish!" 🤸🎣😁
I understand why this young man didn't point to his house, 'cause THEN that older guy would've known who to harass everytime he turned around. The guy fishing wasn't hurting anything, but there are SOME people who have NOTHING better to do, but bother OTHERS for attention and they're called, 'DEMOCRATS'.
@@glenturney4750 Only when I have to drive to fish...no one is going to walk around in my driveway checking out my car. That would happen if I was parked by the road when I drove into an area to fish a pond...

Where im from, people wouldn't mind me fishing, if anything, they would see me catching fish, get excited, try to catch some themselves, then get aggravated and ask me how im catching the fish because they want in on the action lol.
Dude without you explaining everything that I saw in the video, I wouldn't have had any idea what transpired. Thank you for filling me in on what I just watched.
Way to make a mountain out of a moll hill. Seriously the interaction between you 2 was pretty friendly and he likely is pretty tired of teens or others coming up and trashing the place. I live in North Idaho and folks come and use camp sites, lakes, ponds etc as personal dump sites with garbage, empy their waste tanks and the like. You're lucky to have someone keeping a watchful eye on the place. Shouldve exchanged numbers to help keep real trespassers from trashing the area. Oh well, video is 4yrs old
Sounds to me like he's actually looking out for you. Maybe you should befriend him and give him permission to oversee the property when your not around !?!
I fish at an abandoned property, people leave garbage all the time. I don’t live there but I always bring a trash bag to clean it up because eventually you won’t be able to fish there… it’s so annoying when people leave trash behind. I get it Edit: and when they leave trash it’s like they do it on purpose throwing it all around the area. I also clean up as much fishing line I can grab so animals don’t get tangled
Well, the guy lived there for 20 years, but he looks young, the house he lives in might be his parents. As far as pond ownership, if it's in his property survey, then it's his, if he happens to be part of the community, then it's a shared pond, and not his. Also, looks like that is a runoff area, so does the city maintain that with tax dollars? and did the city dig the holes. A neighbor and I share a pond, we dug it out and stocked it and we each own the side that is on our property. There are lots of big fish, I'll eat them after the Nuclear Holocaust, but I'm sure the neighbors will come with guns once they are hungry, hehehehe :)
Just because you lived there for 20 years doesn’t mean you own it, even if it is your pond you still had a nicer conversation than you described in the video.
I’ve always told people “It’s illegal to interfere with a licensed hunter/fisher”as the case may be and 100% of the time they leave me alone. One guy asked me to show him my fishing license once, but I shut him down pretty quick.
I kinda thought the guy was respectful to you. And don’t you like that there are other residents trying to protect YOUR PROPERTY from others who litter and trespass?
I Live on a HOA neighborhood, we have a large pond behind the gate are into the property, people drive in from a large are to fish here. Anyway, when I see kids out fishing it just make me happy they do something else than being on social media wasting their life. It was full of Coy Fish at one point, but then they drained and cleaned it up, never saw any of these after. They where huge.

Effen Truth yea tryna protect the community from a very dangerous fisherman. How was he bein the dick the guy approached him sayin hes not from there. Maybe if the guy just came up and politely ask him if he lived there instead of being a dick and tryna assume he woulda reacted different.
You're a sensitive little one aren't you.
I mean, the majority of sea pollution does in fact come from fishermen so there’s good reason to be skeptical

I'm always amazed at how people take ownership over public property.
Just when the bicyclists get in the way.
To me this looks like an HOA shared property. So it’s private property but it’s intended use is for the residents. But either way, being an HOA (assuming I’m correct) then it’s no surprise to me that this happens regularly.
Taking ownership like picking up garbage is a good thing
@@clydecash5659 What is HOA?
@Joseph Shields
HOA = Home Owners Association
The guy was not rude or aggressive. He was looking out for the good of the area. Once he knew you were from the area he backed off and commented on the A-holes who leave trash around. If I lived there I'd be happy to have folks like him looking out for the best interest of the area.
Pat Walker oh what do you know..
He accused him of not living around there and littering. How is that not rude and aggressive?
He did not accuse him of littering. Once he knew he was from there he was good enough to explain. There are lots of people littering. Never said "you are littering". This was not aggressive. Aggressive would have been "You need to leave, or I'm calling the cops". Rude would have been "Hey asshole!" He said one time "You're not from around here". He didn't yell it. In fact the OP said What? That's why he repeated it. Once the OP assured him he was a resident the entire conversation was about other people littering and trespassing.
Pat Walker he implied he was littering and trespassing that's aggressive enough for me
Implying something is not aggressive.
If the guy cares about trash, he should get a net and fish it out. That's what my friend who lives in assisted living does.
That is a good point, but I'm not explaining myself to anyone.
First thing he said was you not from around here. Cmon
He came across as a dick at first tho for sure.

I'm autistic and borderline with bipolar disorder and social interactions are already very unpleasant/highly unwelcome for me. No. No, no, no, but I'm sorry - that's BS. Your disabilities are your own business, and I hope you are coping well with them. We'd be ice fishing and watch a car pull up...a guy would step out of his car and march several hundred feet out where we were and interrogate us like were escaped convicts. "I don't recognize you or your car. Where do you live and what's your last name".
ReverenXero and by the way..you sound kinda like the media...defending someone obviously in the wrong and making up #fakenews. Lol.
My God the injustice you have experienced. You sir are the martyr of the fishing community and a true American hero. May that man who dared question you look back in the history books someday and remember the evils he brought upon you and that pond.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think satyr is wasted here.
Dug a lake? That was expensive.
@@itzamia supposed to say alone not alive.
I'm 99% sure this kid doesn't own the pond. He lives in the area at his parents house and calls it his pond when it's obviously put up by the development.
@@vlcheish Pretty much like the pool at the apartment complex. When i was a kid I would refer to it as my pool to people that didn't live there.
Hey man. I get kicked out of pond in my area by random people all the time. I live in an area with an absurd amount of fishing ponds so when someone kicks me out I just leave. I’m going to remember some of the stuff you said to this man in this video for next time someone confronts me. Thank you for standing up for the fishing community.
Well, that was a waste of time.
"your not from around here" What an inflammatory remark. You were a better sport about that situation than i would have been.
It’s always weird to me when people get angry about somebody doubting some thing that you know to be true. Just… let them be wrong if they don’t believe you for some reason. That man’s beliefs about the fish stock in your pond will alter nothing about your life 😅
People don't like Know It Alls. Not a hard concept Einstein.
He's discreetly telling you to keep the pond clean. All you had to do was reassure him that you always clean up after yourself. He wasn't trying to kick you out.
He doesn't have to reassure anyone of anything
Don’t come on my property and ask questions,
mf ima come to ur house to tell u to keep it clean
Don’t look like you’re from here. What the fuck does that mean? Is there a certain look of people that’s supposed to be over there?
@@truehopwood5339 put your ego aside, learn some humility and de-escalate.
Nothing to see here... not your pond from what I understand.

Finally a youtube comment that was nice.
@@ehcmier Need to start open carry if allowed in this state.
They are not your neighbors if you lived/fished there 22 years and they don't know who you are.
mind your own business
@@christopheramos5351I sure can't say I know all the people that live around me. Let alone all the people around town. Knowing people doesn't really mean anything.
Okay KAREN
i'm a female and I fish all the time. I have had men walk up on me and scare the shit out of me. Asking me all kinds of questions. I have had them tell me I'm not allowed to fish. Get up on me close.
A teeny bit passive aggressive, maybe, but like he said, he may be fed up with people trashing the place
you dont just get to be passive aggressive to someone without knowing wether or not they have persmissioj
He's not the cops and it's not his job to bother people.
Just wondering how this is your pond?!?!
nirvana pilot 230 because the pond is on his property, it’s right in front of his house
Trapper Chuck I'm quite sure that doesn't make it his lmao.
Chris Ruiz right, but I'm sure it's a community pond. Look at the layout of that place and the homes. Guarantee it's not "his" pond.
True nothing belongs to anyone so if you think you own anything other than your body your a dum dum. But people use the saying "mine" all the time, it's just an expression. Fuck fucking fuck fuck.
Garrett Jones lol. First, I own my car, and my house, and everything in it. Second, it's you're, not your, and yet you call me the dum dum. Priceless.
Lighten up ! He is just trying to keep the neighborhood clean and safe. There are alot of areas that have problems and he was perfectly cordial.
Has open conversation with neighbor telling his whole life story on laughs and casts
*Records himself exaggerating his feelings on what he would’ve said*
?
You didn't say none of that to his face
Just once I would like to see the fisherman point to a house nearby and say "see that house right there? That's my house...I live there."
These people who do nothing but harass us while trying to fish need to be dealt with.
Not sure why even when he was ranting by himself he wasn't specific about where he lived. Why was his car there?
I was hoping that when the guy approached and said, "There's no fishing allowed here" that this young man would've answered, "Oh YEAH, well There's NO SWIMMING ALLOWED EITHER!" and shoved the guy into the pond.
Then, when the guy was splashing around in the water, tell him,
"SSSSSSH! You're scaring the fish!"
🤸🎣😁
I understand why this young man didn't point to his house, 'cause THEN that older guy would've known who to harass everytime he turned around. The guy fishing wasn't hurting anything, but there are SOME people who have NOTHING better to do, but bother OTHERS for attention and they're called, 'DEMOCRATS'.
@@marksmith4346: His car was there BECAUSE he LIVES there. Do you park your car at other locations away from your home?
@@glenturney4750 Only when I have to drive to fish...no one is going to walk around in my driveway checking out my car. That would happen if I was parked by the road when I drove into an area to fish a pond...
Same thing happens to me man. I literally just ignore them. The more you talk the longer they stay. Let them call the cops, chances are you know all the local police by name. I’ve had police just drive by and wave when they see it’s me lol. Enjoy the pond, you aren’t hurting anyone
It's crazy that people have nothing better to do than mess with a lone guy fishing
Thats how I know it is Texas lol.
Where im from, people wouldn't mind me fishing, if anything, they would see me catching fish, get excited, try to catch some themselves, then get aggravated and ask me how im catching the fish because they want in on the action lol.
Every time I go fishing there's always someone who shows up to tell me I'm not going to catch anything. It's called fishing, bugger off.
You explained yourself waaaaay more than I would.

Oh well, video is 4yrs old
Nah fk that, that dude does crack
Sounds to me like he's actually looking out for you. Maybe you should befriend him and give him permission to oversee the property when your not around !?!
Lol
I fish at an abandoned property, people leave garbage all the time. I don’t live there but I always bring a trash bag to clean it up because eventually you won’t be able to fish there… it’s so annoying when people leave trash behind. I get it
Edit: and when they leave trash it’s like they do it on purpose throwing it all around the area. I also clean up as much fishing line I can grab so animals don’t get tangled
Your video does not match what you are telling us.
Frank Elmer Were you listening??
Or are you an idiot
HighRider90 obviosly he was listening..were you?
Doesn't sound like its your pond
Big Nuts right?
Its more than likely communal pond in a community. My buddy lives in such a place. Quail lakes. They stock it with large mouth bass.
When you live in a fenced community, the pond is yours.
Right? So why the fuck in his title does he say it’s his own pond I asked him that same question haha
LordZoth6292 No the pond belongs to the community bud not just one person
👍👍 you were way nicer to him than I would have been. I would have been so sarcastic, his blood would have been boiling.
Maybe dude was right, no fish in there. I didn’t see one caught
