If I had lines out that took up the entirety of the lake, and somebody crosses over them, I would feel like a total clown if I felt this way towards another boater that has as much right to come up and down the lake/river.

Cmon man do better Nice striper though 👍👍
No boat should get so close to a other boat that happens there was so much water there that shouldn't have happened and he is lucky that wasn't me he ran over I would have sunk his boat
Um. Right he was casted out in the corner there. So that dummy should of stayed away from that whole area. Dude was on a boat which means he could go literally anywhere on that water but noooooo he had to fish right on top of lines that were there before he showed up. Did you even watch?
You see him coming and cast in front of his boat ? 75 feet is plenty far away. He is an old man fishing by himself, chill the heck out and wish him a good day !
In a tight spot with a lot of fisherman you should never cast way out from your boat with multiple rods that is silly! Then blame the old man who is trolling along like it's his fault!
I’ve had people do that to me on accident and I just laugh about it and retie my line. Some are just excited to be out on the water and to get to fish. They aren’t even thinking of that happening. If their passing 75’ from me, I take that as being cautious on a river that size.
Could have been a whole hell of a lot nicer to the old man for crying out loud! You could clearly see that there was no mal intent on the part of the older gentleman and that the fellow just made a mistake. For crying out loud, learn to deescalate and reel your emotions in. Everybody today seems to be pissed off at someone. What happened in this video is the reason they put erasers on pencils. I am 78 years old retired US Army and really can't believe the anger in this country today.
Nah it's like leaving your weights 100 feet from you on the other side of the gym, then getting angry at someone after they took them without knowing you were using them, then getting angry when they admit their mistake and return them lol
Wait, you had your lines right across a high traffic area, then get all cranky when someone accidentally snags them? You were awfully brave speaking to that old man like that too. Things would have turned out much different if it would have been me, mainly because youd have shown me respect as soon as i pulled up on you.
Exactly, he said he was fishing on bottom. so it’s obvious he didn’t do it purposely. but still gets called an idiot as if he could have done something purposely with his lines that on bottom

I've fished that same area for about 30 years, and I try to give everyone plenty of room because everyone is there to have a good time, but when one boat has 8 to 10 lines in the water fanned out covering half the channel don't get upset if someone gets into to them. That's almost as much fun as trying to load your boat up when's there's about a dozen people with lines out on the ramp
Yea name calling put you completely in the wrong! Come on man its fishing everyone has plenty of room and crap happens... everyone has times they tangled someone else's line. Its not worth calling the other old timer an idiot... fishing is like Christmas day! Should always be fun and enjoyable even without a single catch!
That dude is the same guy who wears a spandex outfit, tear drop hat, shaves his legs, and rides his bike on 2 lane roads in the middle of the lane then gets pissed when you pass his ass for blocking traffic.
you threw the lines out in the middle while you were tied up on the side, where was he supposed to go? Definitely reaching and baiting for views. "Confrontation" and "Instant Karma" Even if the old dude goofed up, it was an accident. This dude is a tool. How the fuck is he supposed to see your lines that you casted 40 yards away from your boat? Lol
So passing by this Meathead on a constricted PUBLIC waterway and because Meathead has "claimed" the surrounding water, one has to dock a half mile ahead of Meathead, drag his boat out of the water and on to land, then get back in the water a half mile away. HaHaHa...NOT.
The old man was so nice and did the right thing. I don't think he could even hear or understand your frustration and anger at him. He didn't even know he did anything wrong.
This may be the only fishing video I've ever hit the dislike button for. It's not that hard to be kind to other people even if they did mess up your fishing.
No it is ok to be mad... it is boater rules to never get all close to another boat who is fishing... it is the most uncool and lame thing you can do to another fisherman. Don't bother other people, fishing is supposed to be about relaxing and fun, when you do dumb things that should be obvious not to do, it warrants being yelled at.
Unless you own the lake, be courteous to other fishermen. We are all there trying to have a good time. Try to be the man/woman that your parents would be proud of not the icehole that they have to hide from.
@@nachyomoney3598 Not sure if you know this but there's plenty of places where you fish 10 ft from other boats, like during different species' spawning runs up a river. Places where there would have been 30 boats between the two in the video. If you want to fish and not be bothered by other boats, go where there's nothing biting. What exactly was wrong by the other boat? He looks like he's 100+ yards away, clearly not in any reasonable encroachment range of boat on boat. Spell it out for me because I'm just not seeing it. Also, he had the decency not to just cut your line & keep moving. To tell-- what did the other boat do wrong? If there's an idiot--- it's the dude yammering in this entire video. I’m glad to see the majority of the viewers got this right. I thought he went within 20’ of you which is definitely too close. That bottom fishing or trolling takes up way too much water. With trolling at least people can see the tackle floating, but with bottom fishing especially 75’ away? We’re you using mono on a loose line? Geometry says you had 300-400 yards of line out to create that angle.
This dude just taught this younger generation exactly how to "NOT" be, that old man was above Par in dealing with you, your lucky a grandson like me wasn't in his boat while you were running your mouth
Or comply with us coast guard law on staying away from others.there are federal rules with huge fines and confiscation of boat and hauling unit.look them up follow them and expect others to follow them or everyone can reel it in and stay off the water as you all come across as ass-wagons.

Man... you're the type of guy to put on hip waders, grab a fly rod, and stand in front of someone using a spinning reel.... Then complain about how they are casting too close to you. I really don't understand why some people have to be like this.
When we fish by dams we usually have our lines right below the boat or close to it to avoid having this happen. It's usually when we are shore fishing that boats drive over your lines so I started night fishing when all the buttheads are sleeping.
I thought this was going to be some boat passing five feet from the angler, but when your lines are stretching 100ft across the river you only have yourself to blame.
I don’t think I could subscribe to your channel. I don’t like anybody that wants to pick on elderly people because I don’t care. They might be strong willed, but they also are not the sharpest tool but they’re very intelligent and smart and I really don’t believe that man did that on purpose, I just think that I’m glad them people that were brought out on your boat called a fish and it wasn’t karma. If you’re a guide you know where they at it’s just a matter of them biting
75 feet in that space appears to me like it would be sufficient. If you were at one shore casting (nice cast) clear to the other, maybe not. But then you're hogging.
I remember bottom fishing with my mom when I was a kid. Some guy casts out right over her. She was so pissed. Never said a word. She just reeled in his line as fast as she could, cut his line and tossed it back overboard. Should have seen his face when he had to ask her for his lure back. Which she gladly return while grinning from ear to ear. Memories with mama. ❤️😁
Yo mamma sounds like one messed up bitch! I would have loved to have fished with her! LOL! Some women know how to handle things without saying a word, haha.
Why do you keep posting videos saying “instant karma” and nothing happens. Two, I see this being your fault, just because you are cat fishing does give you the right to stretch lines out halfway across the river. If I were your clients I wouldn’t pay you a nickel.
I AGREE! !!! What I see here is the man is not close to you like 10 feet & he is way over there. So how is he rude to again? It seems to me you're not showing the entire video here. I not hearing the man yell & scream at you True or false you tell me? The fact it's on your own video he came to you & gave your bait back & then I hear I am hung again it's his fault again? He had to cut his own line & your still RUDE to him! wow! smh!
It looked like he was 100 yards over. How would he know your fishing the bottom in that particular area? The older man was super nice and you were the Karen.
We always fish right under the boat at the dam. They may be 20 boats in there at the lake of the ozarks dam and we never have this trouble unless you get that 1 person who wants to cast out 50ft then complain about someone getting in his line.
It looks like that guy had line out past 50yds, your just looking for trouble . He should fish the Salmon River with that attitude and see how far he gets.
that old timer has more patience & restraint than me...if this ever happens to you again, I strongly advise that you watch your mouth next time because if you take that tone/attitude with someone like myself, this video wouldn't have made it online.
Preach… I was just just about to say how that mouth was gonna bring karma back around with a quickness. Better watch that tone and bet he’d be cutting his lines.
Shit happens. You weren’t using floats so it’s hard to tell where the lines are. If you were quietly sitting against the wall maybe you were overlooked because he was looking for a strike on his gear. A simple “hey buddy how’s it going” might have avoided all this.
Sounds like there a cry baby in the boat. This man acts like he's never made a mistake or made someone mad... 😂 Trust me.... that karma always will come back around
Boy did this video backfire on you. That older gentleman did NOTHING WRONG! Respect others and you will receive respect. That man looked so lonely fishing alone. He could have used a friendly face. 😞
I just love it when someone knows that they are right and starts throwing the "idiot" out there. This is the same person that would wet his pants if anyone said "pardon" and came along side for a chat. Talk like that to me and you would have become a wicked outdoor anchor.
Well, I fish a river in my area and when I see a boat coming I reel in my line to avoid this. Its kind of like crossing the street without looking, but because the cross walk says go you just go because its your right of way...How many times does old grandma or someone playing on their cell while driving run the red? it happens often enough. Never trust people to do the right thing. People are prone to making mistakes therefore its your duty to do your own due dilligience, regardless if you have the right of way or not. Therefore I am saying this video poster is a rude POS crybaby. That is all.
I don't know man it's kind of like stringing a zip line right above a busy highway and calling every driver that hits you an idiot. Out here in the sticks(South Dakota) on the Missouri river they roll right up on you if they know you are catching fish. Its just kind of understood.
hahaha so lets investigate the issue.. they are on one side of the dam and if you would've went online and researched you would see the river where they are at is roughly 1000ft wide. now lets think your normal casting distance is 200ft so that leaves 800ft for them to fish so whats the issue with staying away from someone fishing on the side. ?????????
Hold up! Someone can roll up on you especially when you are hot and on'em and it's understood? Hahahaha... I guess I should never go visit and fish that river cause I'll be a permanent resident in your state hotel with 3 hots and a cot. Fair warning to all A holes out there, I live by respect so don't you die by disrespect...
@@striperjunkie that river does not look 1000 ft wide. Even if it was if someone anchors near the dam to fish you wouldn't expect them to cast 100ft+ out.
@@KaliAndy2 again all you have to do is research... so let me explain: goto Google maps gind this exact location and click on one side of where they were at. Then use the measure tool and then click on the opposite side if the river from where they are at and it will give you a length. It's not exact but will be close a d it said 1000 ft + - 10ft or so .... so even better that man had 900 ft to troll and yet chose to get that close to him
Putting up along the dam to stay out of the way then setting lines out in the middle where others will fish seems counter intuitive. Cool heads prevailed though, and that striped was light! Keeps things positive.

Right? throw those lines toward the dam not in open water where boats travel!
Typical that he would think the entire channel belongs to him. Doesn't surprise me at all. I would have pulled his fucking shit back to the house if it was me. He would have been trolling for real. Rod and all.

When we fish by dams we usually have our lines right below the boat or close to it to avoid having this happen. It's usually when we are shore fishing that boats drive over your lines so I started night fishing when all the buttheads are sleeping.
“Confrontation” is a bit of a exaggeration… fell for the click bait

I thought this was going to be some boat passing five feet from the angler, but when your lines are stretching 100ft across the river you only have yourself to blame.
I don’t think I could subscribe to your channel. I don’t like anybody that wants to pick on elderly people because I don’t care. They might be strong willed, but they also are not the sharpest tool but they’re very intelligent and smart and I really don’t believe that man did that on purpose, I just think that I’m glad them people that were brought out on your boat called a fish and it wasn’t karma. 75 feet in that space appears to me like it would be sufficient. If you were at one shore casting (nice cast) clear to the other, maybe not. But then you're hogging.
I remember bottom fishing with my mom when I was a kid. Some guy casts out right over her. She was so pissed. Never said a word. hahaha so lets investigate the issue.. they are on one side of the dam and if you would've went online and researched you would see the river where they are at is roughly 1000ft wide. now lets think your normal casting distance is 200ft so that leaves 800ft for them to fish so whats the issue with staying away from someone fishing on the side. ?????????
