1. Using oils on dry skin
2. Using far too much
3. Using the wrong oils
4. Not hydrating your skin before using the oils
5. Using rancid oils
6. Sticking to only 1 oil
7. Using the same oils in the morning and the evening
Thank you so much, I just started to using oils, you helped me a lot ❤
Thank you so much. It is so eye opening. I want to make a brief of your video here.
Mistake 1: apply on dry skin -> apply oil on wet skin
Mistake 2: use too much oil -> use maximum 3 drops of oil for the entire face
Mistake 3: use the wrong oil. Unless you have extremely dry skin, oil with heavy texture like coconut oil (or advocado oil,...) is hard for skin to absord. -> use lighter texture oils such as watermelon oil, hemp seed oil,...
Mistake 4: not hydrating skin enough before using oil -> use humectant before applying oil (humectant is a substance that is able to moisturize skin, for example: vegetables glycerin. You need it because oils aren't hydrating skin but just locking the moisture).
Mistake 5: use rancid oil -> never use oil that smells or passes due date
Mistake 6: use only 1 type of oil -> mix different oils based on their vitamins and minerals profile, or alternate the oil every month or so.
Mistake 7: use the same oil in the morning and evening. This is not a mistake but just like an advice. You can use oils which are not-so-fast absorbing and not-an-ideal-makeup-base but rich in vitamins and minerals in the evening
This deserves more likes 👏
In case of mistake 3, does our skin can absorb argon / grapeseed / almond/ rosehip oil?. Thanks in advance???
@@tasnimatonnee963 yes. Idk about argon and almond oil, but grapeseed and rosehip seed oil are recommended for oily skin. I'm using them too.
Thank you ❤
Thank you so much
I personally love using 5-6 drops of jojoba oil at night. It’s so amazing because I feel like it really locks in my hydration and I wake up with super plump and gooey skin. You will look greasy if u do it during the day though
I must agree with applying oil on wet/damp skin. After shower, I spray my face with pure rose water then I apply pure vegetable glycerin then lastly my carrier oil. It works well for me.
I though oil & water don’t mix
How do you apply the vegetable glycerin?
@@CrystalClear400 they don’t mix,the oil will sit on the water and lock in moisture
I’m confuse with what we wet our face before we apply the oil?
@@wafita8983 I spray my face with rose water but I still let it absorbed before applying oil. Let the rose water sit on your skin for a while. I must say somewhere between fully dry and total wet.
i love my oils and now this video will help me love them even more ! thank you so much !
But I hear that oils are pore clogging and won’t let the skin breathe?
Many many thanks for wonderful awesome correction....you are sooo helpful ...blessings
Thank you so much for those advice!
Hi, thank you so much for this video! I really needed this. Every oil I tried putting on my face made me look greasy and textured but now I know the proper way to use them. Couldn't find any other video to show me how to apply facial oils until i found yours. :)
These tips dramatically changed my skin.. very informative!
Thank you for sharing. The information is very interesting and helpful.

I started using oils recently so I'm still new to this. I was doing 5 mistakes mentioned here😅
You are amazing. Thank you for this video ❤️
Thank you so much. This was so helpful.
Thanks for the advice! 🤗
Thank you. This video helped me a lot because I didn't know some of these things. I use mainly oils but in the summer, I use a skin cream when the temperatures reach 80 degrees and above.
This was so eye-opening! Thank you!!!
Wow! Thanks for the useful tips! They really opened my mind and educated me in my novice knowledge of using essential oil on the skin.
Super helpful! Thank you!
who are those 66 people🙄🙄🙄how can they dislike such an informative video🙄🙄
Ppl are so weird
Those are the people who apply whole droppers full of oil to each cheek and forehead and contaminate the dropper.
They're the ones using vegetable oil lol

People have the right to like or dislike. And that should not bother anyone. Just because you like it doesn't mean everyone should like it. Btw, i like the video
Thank you! Very useful information about using facial oils!

You clarified several of mistakes I was doing and then got off using oils.. will work this out now! Living Natural is the best way to be! - Sunil
OMG I made more than one of these¡ Thanks so much
Thank you. I purchased rosehip seed, jojoba, Vt. E and Tamanu oils to treat my face just yesterday. Fortunately I watched this video before I use.
This was very helpful. Thanks
I mix 95% Argan oil and the rest is jojoba, carrot seed, almond, marula and a little bit of tea tree oil. All is in dark and air tight pump used for oils. However I did not know not to do it on dry skin and use less. Thank you for this information!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you soooo much! It really helped me a lot! Greetings from Poland.
Pozdrowienia!
Thank you so much for grt information.
this was super helpful , thank you !
Thank you for nice video, very interesting. I started using OCM when I was living in Australia.Changing from cold, dry european weather to desert impacted my skin very badly: blackheads, whiteheads and patches of oily skin in my overall dry face. After wasting quite a lot of money in chemical stuff that made It get even worst, someone told me about OCM. I started with avocado oil +castor oil and It did the miracle in a week, and australian weather, dusty wind and extreme Heat was not a problem anymore. Then I started experimenting, and what I currently use (now living in subtropical country) is a pump of hempseed and a few drops of castor. At night I switch castor for rosa mosqueta or argán oil.I particularly LOVE the smell of hempseed oil. I never use coconut on my face, except after beach days when salt,Sun and wind make me feel I need something more.
Hope It is useful.
Thank you for this. I followed your advice and Argan oil has really been helping my skin
I'm so glad!
Thank you so much i needed this knowledge
Very helpful, thank you.
I agree with everything you say apart from putting oil on wet skin. The water molecule is larger than oil molecules, putting oil on wet skin with prevent the oil from absorbing into the skin, water repels oil. Put the oil on first then put a moisturiser on top.
How about when to use Snail Mucin
You’re a star!!!! 🤩😍 So basically I’ve been doing EVERYTHING wrong. No wonder it just sits until I wipe it off 🤔 I’d no idea. Very good video, thank you ☺️
Haha! We have all been there :) Glad I could help!
Very helpful video Halleluyah thank you so much🙏🏽
Well said thx muchly.
I ended up on the wrong video but ended up listening until the end, I am amazed of the amount of information. Well explained and don’t know how can this can get a dislike
Me too....
Same lol
Bots and just plain haters
dislikes are always added automatically. just a program adds some of them. it prevents us from easily knowing what things are really good.
Great video! Very helpful and accurate!
I had stopped using facial oils for years because I was committing the mistakes enumerated here.
Of late, failing to find the right moisturiser for my oily & highly sensitive skin I resorted to using facial oil again and my skin feels calmer and balanced!
So how I have to use glycerine? I use jojoba oil. How I should do for correct use?
@@matteo31149 Wy dont you use hyaluronic acid before the oil? It is very hydrating!
@@lydianomikou5890 would that be the chemical peel H.A or serum because so many on the market?

Thank you for this. Have ordered vegetable glycerin and will be researching oils to add to my collection.
I’ve been using drops of oils that I’ve had for way waaaaay too long. - they’ve been binned.

@@naturallyhonestlabs can i apply castor oil on face
@@naturallyhonestlabs Is jojoba oil act as a humectant? I’ve read this online but wondered if you thought this to be true or false since you say that oil do not hydrate skin. Is jojoba oil an exception at all?

Thank you very much for this information
Great info ... And you have great skin and a beautiful face !
Thank you ! :)
Thank you for this video. Can you recommend morning oils vs. evening oils for “ normal” skin?
Thanks. It was well explained
Very helpful video!❤ thank you so much!!🙏🏾
u r welcome :)
I've been using grape seed oil for about 4 years now and I can say that it stopped its magic on my skin. I guess I should branch out and try jojoba or rosehip oil now. Thanks for this video! I learned to let go of my holy grail product and move on to find a new oil that will work for my skin now. :)
Do you have oily skin? Just wondering because I’m thinking of beginning to use grape seed oil and I have combo oily skin, but I have a very basic routine (cleanse and moisturize, mornings I apply sunscreen), so I’m not sure if it’s right for me
@@shivangiranjan8085 Hi, I have oily acne- prone skin. I personally use a combination of jojoba, rosehip, argan and grape seed oil. In the past I've used a combo of Jojoba and rosehip oil, it worked great. These oils are light and won't leave you greasy. Hope you give it a try, all the best.
@@HibSun7 Hi, where do you buy these oils from?
@@elt9264 Hello, sorry for the late response. You can get them at your local beauty shops that sell skincare products.
Hai i think all you need is low percentage of glycolid acid and then continue your oil routine…
I use 1-2 dropperfuls of rose hip oil and it feels fantastic. I put it on my face, ears, neck, shoulders, décolleté, and any extra goes on my elbows. Feels heavenly, and I’ve been getting compliments on my skin since I’ve started using it about 3 months ago. 👍
Do you use the pure rose hip oil or do you mix it with a base oil?
@@sadiasiddiqui574 Rosehip itself is a carrier oil. No mixing needed.

Wow. This was so beautiful.
It's great to see this... I have also treated myself. Weedborn oils have helped me a lot.
Thank you 🙏 for this information.
You're welcome :)
Woow!! Very useful 👌!! Thank you!!
I use camellia oil to cleanse my face and rosehip seed oil to massage my face, but I haven't tried using oil after moisturizing cream. Very interesting :)
You shouldn't use oil after a moisturising cream, if the cream contains oil.
Very well explained ❤️
Thank you so much!
Thanks you so much for helpful infos!
Glad it was helpful!
Love this video, Excellent tips❣️
So gramma was correct when she made her own cold cream - water (rose typically, sometimes witch hazel), humectant (honey) and an oil! Cheers doll!
Aesthetician here: coconut oil is NOT suitable for the face. EVER. Coconut oil is highly comedogenic, meaning it can clog pores. Just because it worked well for your grandma or aunt does not mean it will work for you; there are outliers in every situation.
This was a sign for me😭😭😭😭😭 i should stop using coconut now... Good bye my love.😂😭😭😭
Thank you for the confirmation :)
Finally, people with actual knowledge give the right info about the so famous coconut oil! I find it very good for the hair or the body but definitely not the face.
Not suitable for certain hair types as well... I made a mistake of using coconut oil on my hair for couple months and I ended up with frizzy, dry hair 💀💀
Coconut oil seems to only be good for cooking. It dries everything else out like skin and hair - at least that has been my experience. Great (but expensive) oil in which to fry chicken.
Excellent information!
Dziekuje za wiadomosci bardzo pomocne
Totally disagree with all of this. I am a 69 year old woman and have been using castor oil on my face recently. It absorbs really well because my skin is so dry. I am already seeing benefits after one week!
I had a friend with very dry skin. She bought some very expensive products which didn't help much. I got her on castor oil ..... Game changer for her. I don't do castor oil cos I am very oily. It worked for my friend. She added it to some very expensive products just to finish them. It really saved her skin
How do you apply the vegetable glycerin and how much do you use? Thank you!
Useful, thanks for sharing
Thankyou mam!
Great advice!♥️
you are welcome :)
What a handy video! May I ask how you use the vegetable glycerin?
Thanks in advance!
Great question..it's generally sticky so I am curious as well.
a bit late to respond but this how I apply....first damp the skin, tehn take 2-3 drops of glycerin and dilute it with 5-10 drop of water and then dab it on skin ...after that put couple of drops of oil
This video is very educational! I have only just started using oils on my skin. I have combination skin. I use turmeric oil on my face before applying my make up and at night I use hyaluronic acid but I find that it dries my skin a little bit
Hyaluronic acid hydrates the skin by taking up moisture from atmosphere so if there is not enough moisture in the atmosphere it soaks up moisture from the deeper layers of your skin and that what dries your skin up, so it depends on the place where you live how humid is your environment.
Hello. Thank you for your great advice on oils. My question is which plant oil can l alternate with moringa oil for my face? I have dry skin.
You're amazing, thank you for this wonderful information
glad I could help! :)
Thanks!
What oils do you recommend combining for morning and night?
Thanks so much for this. I'm thinking of adding rosehip oil and hempseed oil in my skincare routine. One question, if I need to apply the oils on wet skin, do I use my other skin care like creams and serum after I applied the oils on freshly washed wet skin?
Usually the face oil/serum comes after a toner and/or a humectant ( oil-free hydrating base) and replaces your face cream or serum. You should avoid using two oil based products at once.
@@naturallyhonestlabs thank you!✨
Thanks a lot. I had battling with hyperpigmentation on my face more than 15 yrs and it' makes me look old ,so what should I use to get that glow and fresh look?
@@perabohsimon1746 I am using some vitamin C serum,I am .....+ and it works for me, also, exfoliating( i am giving very good scrubbing to my skin)
@@perabohsimon1746 try azelaic acid 15-20% cream (thin layer will do), licorice serum, glycolic acid peel
Great video... thanks
Very useful 👍👍👍
Thank you
POST MORE OFTEN PLEASE❤🙌🏽
will do when I get another day in the week haha :)
I realize that I've been making all these mistakes since long. I mix 2drops each of coconut, olive & castor oil & apply. Skin on my forehead still remains dry & wrinkles easily.
Coconut oil is terrible for the skin.
Well.. this was helpful. Thanks alot.
I use Argan oil, Squalane oil, Jojoba oil and Meadowfoam seed oil currently. I just ordered plum and borage oil to try out.
So cute 😍.
I keep my rosehip oil in the fridge to keep it fresh. I'm thinking of adding vitamin e oil for additional antioxident protection, and for preserving the oil further.
After I clean my face I apply my diy vitamin c serum, then the boosted rosehip oil.
Combining vitamins c and e is an especially effective combination for preserving products and skin.
I never thought of keeping rosehip oil in the fridge.
@@catspaw3092 I'm not sure if it's needed to be kept in the fridge. But anyway, try to buy small bottles, so that you're sure to finish them by their expiry date. Most carrier oils last between 6 months to 2 years.
correct, with a small disclaimer that after opening the oils start to oxigenate, hence they go rancid sometimes as fast as within a month. That's why there might be a need for refrigeration and preservation with essential oils or vit E.
@@naturallyhonestlabs Oh I see.
Can we add a vitamin E to all our carrier oils and essential oils? And is there a certain concentration/ratio which we should use?
Very informative thank you
Very fine and teachable...
