Wow I couldn't pull myself up into a tree just with my forearms! Wattle and daub is what it's called in England. It's how our ancestors built their homes, except not usually in trees... A man who can find food and shelter is a good man to have around.

I have a to go potty at night, it's rough getting down going in the dark 😮😳. Great for a temporary shelter. If you set up underground your chances at staying out there unbothered are better. Because if you found the spot someone else will too. I know this is more for instruction and fun, than for a homestead. It's a blessing to have skills.

I made one like this a long time ago but it was more Tipi shaped. It was about 10 foot diameter at the bottom and about 16 feet high. It even functioned like a tipi with the small hole at the top for smoke to escape. You could easily survive a winter in one of these. This is a really cool design and functional too.
Really cool video. I loved that you included the pulley system that didn’t work. It made me feel like I was right there with you trying to figure out what to do next. Looking forward to more videos like this!
This would be a perfect house for a bird person. I am taking notes for my fantasy universe. About the only thing a bird does differently from what you did is that they build their nests directly in the tree and essentially change the nest to fit the branch rather than the other way around. (Yes, you left the tree largely the same as you found it, but you did have to cut a few branches off to get your giant basket into place.) I still rate this a 9 out of 10 for ingenuity and creativity.
