Polka Trip To Mammoth in a Cessna 172!

- Tango had a polka gig in Mammoth...a perfect excuse to use a Cessna 172 as our transportation! Juliet comes along for the ride on a high-altitude adventure to some beautiful mountain country, accompanied by Oom-Pah, Pretzels, and some fine cold Pilsner!

Very nice video! I'm curious about the two stops on your way to Mammoth. Was it to refuel or visit the areas?
The stops were just to stretch legs and evaluate the weather ahead as we progressed on our trip. It seems like so long ago we took this adventure!
Nice job! How was the high altitude performance of the 172? It's on my to-do list once I get my license. Were you at all concerned about mountain waves?
Brent Bender we very carefully watched the winds forecast and reports to make sure there would be acceptable conditions; definitely was on the look out for mountain wave conditions and turbulence. The 172 performed very well with proper leaning of the mixture for performance!
