- Here is the breakdown of the all of the 392/Scatpack trims available at the moment. This included the Daytona, TA, Shaker, Widebody, 50th Anniversary, 1320, and the SRT 392. I break down both the cost and features of each and give you my opinions. What package do you like the best?

Just got a 2020 Charger Scat Pack Daytona Saturday with a few package upgrades (sunroof, bigger brakes, hids, nav, etc). Loving it!

I just got a Go Mango 2017 392 Daytona for my wife. It came with a defuser, front lip extension, straight pipes and a sunroof LOL!!! Kids stop at my driveway all the time to look at it. They don’t care about my Challenger. LOL!!!

Got my scat pack charger on oct 5th drove it about 1200 miles home the car is amazing while in eco mode most of the way it got 22mpg this while driving up into the mountains from the coast. the car has split personalities super Mello highway cruiser then savage monster when ever u want. Truly amazing car

@@SirDeathstroke yeah that's pretty much average for city driving, but he mentioned that they are highway miles and will always be better numbers. Is the same with the 6.1 in my Challenger, and get about 13.5 around town
Do you guys have a manual or auto? Havent tried the manual yet but test drove a TA with the A8 and wow was it fun. I daily drive a manual civic and started getting tired of it lol.
Manuals for me will always be cooler. The automatics do come with remote start which is amazing (always wanted a car with one)
@@k3iler05 unfortunately mine is the five-speed auto, but had to go with it because of physical issues and is still pretty fun bumping the autostick though. Also got a pistol grip for it off the Mr Norm's website, so it helps it a little and are pretty cool. That torqueflite 8-speed is a damn good trans, and way quicker than anyone can manually shift. In fact most of the time that I've seen guys loose, is because they've missed gears and is especially bad with the long throws. Although they do have shifters that you can get that shortens up the linkage and helps with that issue. If someone is serious about racing, I definitely always suggest going with an auto and is what I would still do if I wasn't limited. Even an auto would still be a huge improvement over Civic or any commuter car for that matter, and really love these Mopar car's a lot

@@independent2368 Yeah I drove the T/A 392 with the ZF8 auto and it was fun as heck (paddle shifting) it reminded me a lot of an audi s5 (v8) that I tried a few years back.
That's why I'm conflicted, in a way I may be getting tired of shifting and would like the automatic just so I can drive it in a relaxed mode. I think with the manual I may be want to be revving it so much.
During the test drive I also drove it "normaly" and it shifts sooo good (fast) to keep you in a steady smooth acceleration (like 10%)
I'll have to see. Currently looking to see if I can rent a manual Scatpack (probably won't find one) just so I can make my decision.
May still be leaning towards the auto a bit, and since I've been driving manual for 10 years.. It feels like "been there done that"
I also have a CDL so I can drive a 10/13/18 speed transmissions.. I guess I'm just tired haha.
I been waiting for an explanation of the different 392 trims for ever now. My favorite is the 50th anniversary.
Yeah he's a great reviewer, and is one of my favorite channels. I really like the 50th as well and is awesome that they have so many options to choose from, but #1 is definitely the 1320 and is the quickest NA vehicle produced today
I have had the Scat Pack 50th for 5 months and everytime I drive it I get compliments. Not to mention that I have a continuous smile the whole time I'm driving it.

Steve here in Rockford IL, came home today with a 2020 challenger scatpack in frostbite blue, manual transmission, with shaker package. Had a 2 hour ride home and I am jacked, what a blast to drive!

Great rundown on the different packages, they can really change year to year. When you're buying, go carefully through the options, sometimes you can save a bit by individually picking the things you really want over buying a bigger package.
Excellent review!!! The variety of options from Dodge is certainly welcome!! Seems like there’s a good demand to have such options available for the buyers’ taste. Also nice to see all the aftermarket parts available for this vehicle.

Racer x I own a TA 392 it comes with Brembos. That TA u showed is a 5.7. TA 392 also comes with bilensten suspension and hood pins.

I've been watching alot of your videos the past few months while working from home due to covid-19. The Scat Pack models really peaked my interest to feed my desire to buy as my wife says is my "mid-life crisis" car. Well yesterday we pulled the trigger and traded in my VW Passat for a brand new 2020 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 50th Anniversary Edition. It doesn't have the Shaker hood, but looks stunning nonetheless. We both test drove it and immediately fell it love with it. Thank you for the inspiration! This car is so much fun to drive. Couldn't be happier with our decision!

I have a '17 T/A 392. The 17-18 T/A 392 was more than a graphic package. Lowered suspension, stiffer sway bar, springs and shocks, as well as the 275 tires and big brakes. The cold air intake is a functional hood scoop and air catcher turn signal that lights up with a T/A logo in it. It's the throwback to the 1970 Trans Am road racing car and is setup to handle corners compared to the other trims. That went away in '19 when it became a graphics package that you needed to order the dynamics to get a better suspension setup. A stock 17-18 will surprise some people on a curvy road with good tires. A modded one like mine will make people question the laws of physics as it flys around a corner.
Absolutely correct and spot on, I have a 2018 Battleship Grey T/A 392 and it handles as good as my old 13 Boss 302. I have a Mopar Strut brace and some other mods as well and like you said, this car handles like it's on rails. The T/A 392 is kind of ignored and not really recognized for all of it's track capabilities.

I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded from my T/A+ 5.7 to a Scat Pack. Mine doesn't have any of the packages, just upgraded Alcantara seats, the technology group and the Alpine Stereo and a Sunroof. It is HellRaisin in color. I had to order mine from the factory, I am so stoked about that. The wait is killing me.
I have the T/A 5.7 and mine came with the 4 piston Brembos. The biggest difference with the T/A and other trims besides the appearance package is really the intake system. The hood closes and seals the intake box to the hood and has a direct connection to the hood intake and driver headlight.
I love the Brembo's on my 2015 Challenger..They work great.
Then again MR. X all beautiful but I ended up with the 2015 B5 blue srt 392 manual love the car even though I don't drive it much thanks again MR. X

Thanks for going all over the trim level also each car now I know I made the right choice with my 50th anniversary scat pack Shaker I think it has pretty much everything you can possibly get in a challenger.

The smartest thing they did was making the widebody wheels break dust colored: makes me feel a lot less neurotic about having to clean them lol

I love how Dodge incorporates historical stuff into their models, like the T/A which has a VERY similar hood to the 1970 Barracuda AAR
Yeah I think it's cool to, but wish that they would have used the iconic TA name for something a little more special like the 1320 and was a missed opportunity. Other than a really cool sticker package, they are just basic scat packs and the 1320 is a really special car. As it borrowed many parts from the demon, and is the quickest NA vehicle produced

Got my Charger Scat Pack widebody Sep 21st. Wanted a Scat Pack Challenger for years and when they put the widebody on the Charger it made it look soooooo much better. I think the Charger looks better with the Wide Body and the Challenger looks better without it. MOPAR products are the most undervalued products on the market. Prior to 2015 I never owned a MOPAR product because I was afraid of the reliability. Now I own a 15 Ram 1500, 17 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 20 Charger Scat Pack widebody. After 30 years of owning Chevys, Fords, Hondas , Toyotas and one BMW, I can say my experience has shown the MOPARs more reliable than any of the others I have owned. Also the engineering and performance are equal to cars costing twice as much.
You can get a widebody Shaker on 2021 models. Mine arrives in November in Frostbite!! The T/A package is also available in widebody for 2021.

Wow I just noticed that the door armrest in the challenger with the red Napa interior is black!! I wish it came that way in the charger for color contrast. The red door armrest also looks cheap and off in color because it is hard plastic and not Napa wrapped as well. All my opinion but that damn red door armrest is the only reservation I have about the red interior. Love the red stitching around the dash with the red interior and the red Napa, just that plastic armrest lol!!

WOW, that's a lot of variations! I guess my 2019 RT SCAT PACK SHAKER is essentially like the earlier 392 SRT except I didn't order the optional Adaptive Suspension!! Wasn't up to speed on that option when I ordered mine from Dallas Dodge.🤔
u only missed out on the selectable track settings which are a tad stiffer & responsive, + more aggressive tuning on the automatic transmission setup, they were luxury options, unlike the 6pistons big & brakes on the dyamics package, dont feel too bad the challenger rides better than stang or maro either way. I doubt either amounts to tenth or on the G meter or 1/4 mile unfortunately

I think the charger looks better in the wide body. I prefer the challenger in the normal body

Correction on the T/A, the Challenger T/A 392 version does have the bigger 6 piston Brembo brakes. The 5.7 version of the T/A does have the smaller brakes correct. I think that's what your meaning when you said the T/A does not come with the bigger brakes, meaning the 5.7 version has the smaller brakes. Anyhow great video by the way.
I wish they changed the emblems on the wheels and the steering wheel, like on the centre caps put the bee or a bee on the steering wheel or on the steering wheel it says what trim it is like shaker, t/a, 1320, scat pack etc and on the calipers it says the trim on it not just brimbo

Hey Brother X, I am aware that you can get a Redeye Challenger without the Wide Body (Not my Thing) What about a Wide Body delete on the new Challenger S/S?
I have a black ‘15 challenger scat pack shaker , 6MT
The obvious choice is the 1320, and is a much better package than the widebody for so many reasons. They do much more and is shocking that the package is only 4K, especially when you compare it to the 6k and could even add the WB to it if you really wanted with OEM parts. As Mopar has got kits for the 08 to current Challengers, but not available quite yet and the cost is a bargain at around 3k. Yeah the factory WB have upgraded wheels etc, but so do the 1320s and is a way better deal all around. They are the quickest NA factory produced vehicles available and barrow many performance parts from demon, and is definitely the one I would get if I ever replaced my SRT8. I agree the 1320 is the best bang for the buck. If they would've only offered it w/ the Shaker hood option...

The 392 T/A only gets the T/A on the seats if you get the leather.
That T/A you showed is a 5.7 Hemi car. I don't know about other years, but my 2019 392 T/A has a Scat Pack Bee cartoon on start up between the gauges. Also, the cloth seats do not have the T/A logo.
Mine is the 5.7 and has the ta on the seats but nothing on the gages

@@tezalehall2818 Yes and the wheels. The 392 T/A comes with the bigger splitter and wider (better looking) wheels. There's also the 392 decal on the fender that isn't on this car.

Honestly the widebody does not help with drag racing. There is plenty of space under the stock wheel wells to fit a good wheel and tire. Now stock for stock the wide-body obviously will get more traction on the street and strip. If people are running 7-8s without the wide-body you don’t need it. Not to forget about the drag pack.

I bought a 2015 392 R/T Scat Pack Challenger/ 6spd manuel trans with a Mr. Norms package making 500 Hp. Shortly there after, I paid $300.00 for a anti-sway bar to improve handling on the already 2 inch lowered suspension. It will carve canyons with the most on average. Even still a 4,200 lb.car can't be thrown through canyons very hard. Don't fool yourself.

That was a 5.7 T/A, that’s the reason it didn’t have the bigger brakes and tires. I think Dodge is coming out with a Wide Body Shaker.
My 5.7 T/A came with the 4 piston brembos.

Dodge discontinued the SRT 392 too which was also a 392. Don't know why they discontinued it, though.
Because scatpacks were selling better due to the price. SRT 392s were outside of peoples price range. Scatpacks are still labeled as R/T 392s because now if you want a SRT you have to buy a hellcat which is genius on their part.
Its was money, a class warfare thing SRT, they only came in 3 packages loaded moderately & lightly & everything, w the insurance premiums & resale value to boot.. kinda like 1970 or 1971426Hemi R/T
I'll never get it! there is more heritage in the R/T than the SRT its kinda snobby but Ima young buck 🤷♂️ IDK I have no problem with 5.7er I don't race um but its the dodge brotherhood I'd rather race a maro any day.

I would get the Daytona charger if I got a new Mopar.
