I use the Sto n Sho on my HC. That way I'm legal in MD and can just pop it off when I don't want it. No holes to mount it also.
You should be more polite to the lady at dealership.
I live here in NJ and have so far refused to put my front plate on....so far so good. I am going to go as long as I can without it...wish me luck! hahahahaha

2008 was the same year I first took interest in the Challenger as well. I was 20 then and without a job but I had to have it someday. I remember dragging my mom to the local Dodge dealership in 2009, after one of her chemo treatments, and I told her I will get one someday. I'll never forget those days. This T/A is definitely nice and I like this subtle chill style of review. Can't wait to see you do a Hellcat!
I've had the opportunity to drive a few hellcats, for some reason I put the camera away and enjoyed the car, then I had to give them back and wound up with no footage... 😂😂😂

thanks for the feedback, I'm trying to do a little of both, people are asking for more driving time in videos so it's a tough role to make everyone happy. Personally I, Like you, want the guts without the filler so I've started putting a table of contents in my descriptions so you can skip to the parts you want to see.
I for 1 love the actual "shaker-hood" of your car! I have owned the 1969 GTX with a 440/6 pack 4 speed that had a shaker hood scoop! Yea It's not a standard hood but didn't care either! It was that hood scoop shaken that I loved so much!
I feel the same, and Love the shake. I wanted a shaker so bad and I'm happy that I went with the Cervini's kit over the Stock Mopar. I recently added the Mopar hood pins so I'm good for now and will be keeping my Shaker:)

I installed the newer Uconnect in my 2015, it tooks months of figuring out how to get everything to work correctly and how to do it without losing features but i finally figured it out and man am i glad i did. The newer Uconnect is sooo much better and the Android auto is so nice. I still have my same media controls with the mute button because i prefer the mute button over the power off button but it is cool they added power off. I wish i could have mute and power off buttons instead of the seek button that would be ideal because i pretty much never use that
You and me both have that same desire for the T/A haha good vid, just didn't get to see any new features from the sport pages? Looking forward to seeing that hood pin diy, so I can do the same ;)

Nice job, I have to agree with you on the Challenger, I was always a GM guy owning many in the last 17 years, 3 Z06's and 2 CTS-V Caddys. Plus others. In 2015 when I looked at both a new Z and V to replace my '12 CTS-V coupe I was shocked at the 100K plus prices. I wandered down the road to the local Dodge dealer and found a red SRT 392. Took it out for a test drive and never looked back. Love at first drive. The car for the price was unbelievable, less than half of the GM cars on the road. Than at the beginning of the '17 model year my dealer had a leftover new '16 Hellcat that they knocked 8K of the 73K sticker. I wanted to keep both of them and still wished I did. But needless to say I am very, very happy with the HC. I agree these cars are unbelievable for the money and I still like as much today as the day I picked it up. FCA keep up the great work and the many choices that are available in the Challenger.

Beautiful car there. I just bought a new T/A 392 in the granite color. The T/A striping is hard to see in certain lights, but the matte surfaces contrast beautifully with the shiny paint.

I agree, great video! Don't know which I like better- the T/A or the T n' A... All lewd jokes aside, Marissa sounds like a fantastic saleswoman. & the new T/A Challenger - WOW, that car is sharp! Though, I also would like to see an "old school", but newly refined, hood scoop on a T/A Challenger. I just bought a '14 Challenger R/T about 6 mths ago, so I don't think I'll be in the market for a new T/A anytime soon - but if I was, I think I'd have to go w/ a different body color. The stealthy black theme is definitely cool, but a brighter color - say, Hemi Orange for instance - would really give some nice contrast to the matte black hood, roof & trunk. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone out there in Challengerland!

I tirelessly investigated this to a point of exhaustion!!..lol!!...but the srt 392 is the best bang for the buck!!...I was going towards the hellcat but seeing how I was going to daily drive it ,I didnt like the fact it was boosted!...the 392 has plenty of power and its naturally aspirated!....i dont track my cars and i dont race them except for an occasionally drive in Mexico lol!!..wink wink!!....i wasn't at all impressed with the 5.7! And the v6 is a joke!..lol!! I've had mine for two years and I've enjoyed every minute!!
My buddy daily’s his hellcat even in the snow 😱 89,000 so far. One you get bit by the whine of that supercharger it’s hard to give it up.

I just got the exact same car recently, except without a Marissa... Yeah I was in search of a scat pack first then somehow the dealer actually had a T/A out of nowhere. I fell in love with the look, black on black, bright headlights, didn't care for the vinyl 392 being a sticker, I thought it was badass. Ijust didn't get the t/a seats or roof. I was initially looking for an auto, but this was a manual... but I says fkit and chose! Great video! 👍

I installed Hood Pin Kit on my R/T Shaker Plus but elected not to connect cable, heard various stories that even though the cable is coated it still rubs so I will drive around with them in and when I get to where I was going I take them out. I can always put them on if I wanted. Totally agree about front plate, in states where you don't need one the dealers don't put it on and they usually don't even give it to you.
I like the T/A but I AM LOVIN' the SHAKEDOWN now that is a real retro, see if Red (Marissa) can let you do vid on one of those.

My wheels are the sock 2015 Black wheels. in 2016 dodge switched to a hyper black which is more gray with a little sparkle.
I never comment on anything..... but this video was fantastic! Currently in negotiations with competing dealers over a T/A 392 and a Scat Pack Shaker 392. Tough call. Love both but the T/A graphics kick a$#. Thanks for this overview!

I still like my Scat Pack Shaker over the T/A, I have never liked those SRT style hoods, just doesn't suit the car; too new age looking...I also think Dipps screens or my 3D printed headlight inserts look better than the open light up headlights on this as well

To anyone looking for some nice performance tires to replace factory 245 tires on your Challenger or Charger,but don't wanna go really wide and have to change the wheel; check out the Dunlop 255/45R20's. They're affordable, get insanely good traction, handle well and are almost as good in the rain as they are in dry weather.
I too get bored with my car around the year mark and trade it in. My 6-cylinder SXT Challenger was at the 2 year mark when I came up on the Challenger T/A 392. Needless to say, with a 6 year, 72.000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, I'm pretty sure this one will be with me for a while.
Same issue, usually by year 2 I'm already itching to trade, but this one I'm on year 3 and still going strong
Out of ALL Challengers, according to Car & Driver, the T / A, is the BEST Handling, with your suggestion, with the huge hood, that would defeat it's main purpose bro !!

I would have to say it's not a clean cut answer. It depends on how you take care of your car.
I just installed a set on my car, the same MOPAR OEM used on the T/A These are well made and corrosion resistant. The pins are stainless Steel, the rest of the kit is painted/powder coated. and the cables are coated.

I also wanted to point out on the seats which are usually found as only headliners in $100k high line cars, its real suede. No screwing. And Napa leather is in Bentley

Work Play Drive: so I sell these myself here in Chicago and I'm really torn between 2 cars. We have an unbadged T/A 392 2018. Its granite exterior with black satin hood which is just gorgeous, its set up like the Hellcat in the same package. But the new 2018 Charger daytona 392 we have in Octane Red with all satin black hood, again unbadged is...well....starting to make me think twice...the way this car drives is completely different and its a smidge lighter and a lot more nimble, so when it comes to control and driving, this charger is kinda making me think a different direction.
I've heard from a lot of people the charger has some more controlability due to it's more stable wheel base. For me my love for the body and styling of the challenger made my decision very easy.

I always just wondered what does TA SRT8 and RT stand for exactly
TA stands for Trans Am, and SRT is Street and Racing Technology. The number at the end of SRT tells you how many cylinders the car has. Not positive on RT, but I believe it stands for Road and Track.

Get the scatpack and add T/A badges and T/A hood to it so you will add more muscle to it...

It depends on who you ask, I have friends on both sides of the fence. For example One of my friends daily drives his hellcat he's got over 60,000 miles on it and loves it. The other had issues with his charger Hellcat and hated it. I've had a few minor issues but nothing serious and would absolutely buy another.
I just bought me a 17 TA 392 last Sunday. I looked under the car and scored with a borla cat back s type exhaust and it was $37k

Those seats are comfy but they’re useless once the leather starts to stretch. My buddy had the dealer replace the seat twice and the third time, I think they added some padding to something to bolster the leather. Not sure how that worked out wi5h the ventilated seats, but my buddy dumped the 5.7 for a Scat. Both are nice but I’ll take my Scat any day🐝🥰
I have the same seats in my 2015 scat and no issues 🤔 and I’m not a small guy.
Work Play Drive I’m only 6’2” and they’re great and my buddy is a couple inches taller and he likes em, too. It’s definitely a comfy car imo

The only thing I like about the T/A is the script Challenger badge on the grille. Otherwise, I prefer my SRT 392.
EDIT: Also, the 2017 models do not have an SD card which I prefer over the Android/Apple support.
they still have a USB though so you can use USB stick or USB to SD adapter ;)

So the only difference between an RT scat pack and a 392 srt TA is visual components. Same horsepower? They should offer different performance packs for each model all the way up to hellcat and demon
This specific T/A has the same Horsepower, but Suspension, uconnect options and interior finishes are different.
Why does that 392 sticker have a big ass bubble in the 3?
The 1970 T/A had decals on the fenders, hence the reason they used decals on the new 392 T/A. A badge would look stupid.

I agree with the hood option the TA should have its original Hood this is a AAR Cuda Hood this is where SRT gets its design from
see now were keeping it sleek but adding some throw back... either that or their saving it for a new Cuda release. 🤓💪

You almost made me push that "thumbs down" button. LOL! Man, she is one cute redhead! Okay, back to business...I never thought I'd get as much attention with my T/A. Of course I get the "Does T/A mean Tit's N A$$". Not funny anymore. But it amazes me how many people love those old T/A's and LOVE the way the new ones look. I was also worried about the color, and that seems to be one of the first compliments I get. I know you're not a fan of white, but it seems that contrast is what stands out I guess. And hey, I am SO glad they didn't throw a huge honkin' hood scoop on top of my car. Love the SRT hood. When I first started looking, I wanted a Shaker, but I'm tired of them now. I'm glad I made the T/A decision. Love it inside and out. My dealer is a law abiding dealer and attached my front license plate frame. Which is okay. When I live in California, I was always getting tickets. It screws up the front but keeps me from getting pulled over.
I couldn't be more pleased with the way the T/A was released, I've seen a few B&W T/As and while not a fan of white on the T/A it's awesome. Enjoy that car.
I am! Didn't get around to installing the Barton because my wife's had some health issues, but once she's better, my garage is gonna be busy.
