Rittenhouse Square and Walnut Street in Philadelphia is stunning!! Walnut Street Theater is America's oldest theater. Again hope you enjoyed your trip here. Enjoy your future trips around America!!
That Macy's was the original Wanamaker's, which was the very first department store in the US! It's on the National Register of Historical Landmarks and Places. They still have the original pipe organ, the largest in the world and is still played twice a day. Pretty cool. No cap! (lol, Joel with the slang!)
And they do a lovely light show inside during the holiday season! Great stop for anyone doing holiday things in the city (and warm since most other things are outdoors for the holiday season)!
@@ArchimGregorios That's cool. I have photos of sitting on Santa claus lap in Wanamakers around 1965. My Grandfather worked for Sears back in the 1920s to 50s, he did all the printing. When he died in 1958 he left my father Sears stock, and my parents paid cash for their new house in 1960. My dad use to brag that he could of paid cash for three new homes back then.
How far is Philadelphia from the US-Canada border? There's been a large dump of snow on the easternmost Canadian provinces. Part of the same weather system?
The worker at the store should have known what a loo was 😂 We don’t use that term, but it’s in enough movies and tv shows that I’m shocked they didn’t know!
As for the Fahrenheit number thing, Zero(a reading 32 degrees less than the freezing point of water) was chosen as that was coldest that NYC had ever gotten and it was figured it would never be colder than that. For whatever it is worth had the freezing point of water had been set at zero (like Celsius/Centigrade) the boiling point of water would be 180 degrees.
saw the sign for Macy's Backstage as Lia went up the escalator, wish you would have gone through that department, it's the sale/clearance items., they have good stuff.
I love that you two have experienced a northeastern US winter. It’s no joke. I love coming to London in winter. It’s like a spring day for us! 😂 By the way, I really loved this Philly series!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Here in the US I think the degree being more specific thing is only handy when it’s close to freezing or really really hot lol.. Especially with driving, I factor in so many things when deciding if it’s safe to drive and knowing exactly what the temp is/was helps with that a lot but otherwise it’s definitely the sillier system of measurement lol
Did The Dandelion video already come out or do we think that one is next? I went there for brunch and dinner multiple times when I lived in Philly and am curious to see what their afternoon tea is like!
It snowed? That's weird because usually when it snows in Philly or PA, there's some snow flakes in NY or MA since we're in the same area. Anyway, I'm glad y'all enjoyed the trip ☺
Hi guys great video! Have you ever thought about maybe visiting northern states in the summer and southern states in the winter 🤷🏼♀️😂 just saying, then you wouldn’t have to deal with the crappy weather. ❤️
-9C? I'm in western Canada. An acquaintance and his wife went to eastern Canada, also known as the Maritimes, and it was snowing a lot when they were there. I wonder if the system which affected the Maritimes made it south to the Philly area.
BTW, can you guys fmdo a video on suggestions for where to visit in UK? Coming from Los Angeles, want to try to avoid any spots we already have out here. Any suggestions on which cities to visit?
They visited Philly in January. Those vids are coming out now. Actually, this was the last one. They are back in North Carolina NOW in real time. Aside from the live streams, the NC videos will start coming out soon.

Google the opening time when you get to the front door. Not something I'd recommend. The N. American phrase 'ass-backwards' springs to mind. Some of your conversations remind me of 'Spinal Tap'. Funny how people who converse like 'Spinal Tap' shop at GNC as well. But you are..... 'legends'.
Lia always looks so Sunkissed and beautiful, not pale even in Coldest of Climates. Is she part Mediterranean? Or does she spray tan in the morning for such radiant skin even without Sunlight. And if you ever read Nice comments , you can call me Hali, if my name is to long to pronounciate.

Where is Sainsbury 😂
Your Philly series was the best series. Come back when it’s warm and people are out
So true
All the Philadelphia videos are fantastic. You both seem very happy and comfortable. The food looks so delicious in Philadelphia.

That pipe organ is huge!
My mother use to take us to Wanamakers in the 1960s. Before the malls.
@@thetruthhurtsyou147 My Dad worked for John Wanamaker's for 42 years.

You guys have got to come back when the weather is warmer and the city is fully open. We welcome you anytime❤️
When they say the temp in -9°, that means Celsius. -9°F in Philadelphia is EXTREMELY rare.
Being in Canada, I wondered about that too.
Glad you enjoyed Philadelphia. This city can be magic when you give it a chance.
No Cap in Joel’s accent was hilarious 😃❤️🎂
It's weird to watch this now when we haven't had snow in Philly in months.

The stacked washer / dryer are very common in apartments.
Watching you two always makes me smile! :)
Joel called lia a silly girl that was so funny
These two are so damm charismatic I cant stand it! I would have watched them fold laundry.
So cool I’m a member of orange theory. Really love it. Yeah they have spares.
"Finished.
No flight home.
Funeral."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Awwww...looking forward to the tea shoppe! Oh well. Next video. You know how to build tension. hahahhahahahahha!
So much fun. I'll remember to bring a construction helmet if I'm ever in Philadelphia again.
👀See ya soon in Philadelphia in better weather. ❤ from PHL. Al from SRQ Al 🇺🇸 🌈 🇬🇧

You have done our city proud, so happy you had a good time, even with the cold! 🥶🥶🥶Always welcome back! ❤️❤️❤️

Ahhh so cool you both came to Philadelphia! I’ve lived here for 8 years .
I would have been so shocked if I passed you on the streets
Philly had no measurable snow this past winter.
Me internally screaming while they’re walking around rittenhouse square looking for coffee: “La Colombe is literally RIGHT THERE!!” 😂
But Blue Stone is good too, glad they ended up somewhere not far in the warmth inside!
Lia, protect your beautiful skin!
Probably windburn more than sunburn.

Watching this in April! If I remember right someone did get hit by falling snow
Love Sir and Lady Vlogalot
You should go to Branson Missouri, Silver Dollar City, the Ozarks
That's probably wind burn more than sunburn.
Love you guys and this channel
hope you come back, just remember if summer it does get hot and humid... but you would be an hour drive to the ocean.
Hope you visit the Pacific Northwest soon: Seattle, Portland, Tacoma, Poulsbo, etc.
Can not wait!
Awww wish I would have known y’all were here I’m about 30min away
I’m happy you made it to Rittenhouse Sq. Your videos from NC will be just as entertaining. Have fun.
love you guys
Oh I used to love Rittenhouse Square! It's nicer in the summer tbh
Did The Dandelion video already come out or do we think that one is next? I went there for brunch and dinner multiple times when I lived in Philly and am curious to see what their afternoon tea is like!
It's out already
@@thetruthhurtsyou147 Thanks! For some reason I had watched the Primark part of that video but not the restaurant part.

32° Fahrenheit is freezing equal to your 0° in Celcius.
Come back to Philly
32 is freezing in F.
Why is nobody mentioning the fact that Lia is more beautiful than all the angels in heaven?
Where's the 6 inches of snow?
81 degrees here in California
It's also 4 months later.
Philadelphia seems to be your place.
in the thumb nail LIA looks high and Joel looks scared.
No flight home, funeral Lolol
I thought no cap meant not bragging?
It's never been minus 9 in Philly, I don't think.
BTW, can you guys fmdo a video on suggestions for where to visit in UK? Coming from Los Angeles, want to try to avoid any spots we already have out here. Any suggestions on which cities to visit?
No cap. Lol, we know. That’s an American term 😂
😍😍
Custom tax I understand... for smuggling.... but should be waived for personal use
You’re in Philly, why not eat like a Philly person?! Have hoagie or cheesesteak already! 😂
You didn't go to Northern Liberties or Fishtown - you basically didn't go to Philly
Falling Ice. Yikes.
Did they really go to Philadelphia and not run up the Rocky steps?? 🤭😲
They may have never seen Rocky?
@@ericsierra-franco7802 That's true, but...research? It's the Philadelphia Museum of Art - one of the biggest cultural icons in the country.
I can no longer figure out how sequenced these vids are ..this was obviously before another ...and in between you're doing the south??? Confusing

Why do you guys travel to the US and seek out British style restaurants? When I go to London, I don't seek out McDonalds or American food.
Just to see how accurate it is! It’s fun!

Troll
Fishtown is right next to Kensington. Totally gentrified.
U 2 r 2 cute
People have actually gotten killed by falling ice

I have had all of Lia Hatsackas I can stand.
Then why do you watch? It's very easy to just not click.

Poached eggs = gross. Scrambled is the way, boiled is a yes, also French toast is acceptable. Poached, eggs over easy, = no. Gross!
