The philadelphia zoo used to have elephants (I saw them on a trip in the first grade!) but elephants get super depressed when in captivity, so they transferred them to better conservation areas 20 years ago. Love that for them! Oh and the nets in city hall are to stop birds from flying up there, nesting, and pooping on people!
They don't have elephants anymore especially at the circus. It considered more abusive to them than other animals for some reason. I'm not mad about it.
