- I show how I install passive entry in my 2019 5th Gen RAM 1500. Passive entry should have been on this truck from the factory. But, this is remedied with self-installation.

Wow, such a in depth install for something that requires a lot. Thank you. This will probably be something I do once half the truck is paid off
Thank you for the video I will be using it when I install this system on my truck.
Great job!!
Another good one!
My bighorn needs this too, but I’m not big on messing with door panels. Ram really needs to include proximity sensors and led headlights for how much they charge!!
Thank you!!!!! sir
I’ll stick with remote unlock!! Too much can go wrong installing this option! I’ll probably break something. But thanks buddy
We have same, the cherokee has the entry and the big horn doesnt...so this interests me
I have a brand new 25 Ram Rebel and it does not have the passive entry. I am so angry about this. I’ve been looking for videos and a parts list. Can you tell me how much it cost in parts?
I want to do this but a bit nervous of breaking the panel (especially as I have seen other videos say you really need to yank it to get it off). Any advice for NOT breaking the actual parts and having to epoxy it? (don't care about clips... they are replaceable)
Can this be done on a 2019 GMC Sierra 2500?
did you have to remove all that stuff to connect the wire to the door handle upon reinstallation? im going to be removing my handles to apply vinyl wrap and wondering if its just simple to remove the handle and re install without having to remove the entire inner door panel. i have passive entry already
If you're just removing the handles, you won't need to remove the door panel. You will just need to remove the cap with a torx bit. Once that's removed, the handle will slide back and out.
@@SawdustSquad thanks for the quick reply!
This is a Delmonico red no? do you have the part number for the door handles?
It is. The door handles are 6CV64NRVAD and the handle caps are 6CV52NRVAB and 6CV50NRVAC.
Thanks for the great video! At the end you recommended replacing all the clips instead of trying to reuse them... do you remember how many of each kind are required for each side?
I think there were about 5 of the yellow and 6 of the white. Parts are 6510359AA - yellow and 6510747AA - white.
Dod you replace the handle caps? Or can i resuse my stock ones, 2021 Ram 1500 Big horn
They are new. The new caps have a magnet in them that are required to make it work.
@@SawdustSquad ok thanks also i didnt se how you plugged the handle to the harness?
@@1jz_supra_truck The plug hangs out of the door and gets plugged in just before putting the handle on.
Ok thank you so much
Way to much work just to touch the handle and open the door. Do many parts and a lot of room for error. But thanks for your video, made me a believer in, if it ain't broken leave it alone.
Does anyone know where to get parts for this?
I ordered mine from bamwholesaleparts.com.
where can one find how to get it programmed afterwards
You can have it done at a dealership or buy alphaobd app and Bluetooth connector to do it yourself. There is information on the forum post in the description on how to do it.
@@SawdustSquad Thanks did you need to purchase different keys?
@@chrissapia6210 No, same keys. The lock cylinder gets moved to the new door handle.
@@cpounds sorry should have said do you use same key fob?
@@chrissapia6210 yes
What is the rough cost of all parts for this sir?
My total cost was around $300 in parts.
@@SawdustSquad we're did you get the parts i try the dealership was told it wasn't a option if it didn't come with it
it’s not that important to go through all that time hassle and money
