Ive been learning for two years and drum fills are just hard to make 😭
I've been playing snare for 4 years pretty much all percussion accept drumset because I just thought I wouldn't be good, this is such a nice video to help me with fills because I'm having trouble with them 😅

About 6 days into learning to drum practicing about 2 hours a day, got your 3 beginner beats video down pat at about 90bmp and now I'm adding these fills into those beats as I do transitions. Only 4:30 into this video over 3 days but DAMN are you a great teacher. Never thought it would come so naturally.

Dude I don't know what it is or why I'm compelled to comment but damn I think you just helped me over the wall I ran into a while back. I search for videos with little talking drum videos that have too much talking and not enough actual playing. I've played guitar almost all my life. I just started playing with drums a few years ago quit for a couple years and being stuck home I scratched the itch to play drums again. I said F**k it and bought a somewhat ok set put better heads on the drums and now currently shopping for better cymbals DAMN good cymbals are expensive holy s**t!
curious, at 1:32, why do you change the beat on the kick drum to landing on the 1, 2, 3, 4? Why not let the bass pattern remain the same underneath the fill? It's almost like a new beat and a new fill at the same time, as opposed to simply a fill over an existing beat.
