      It’s a rare talent… usually the people at the highest level have trouble making it easy to understand for regular folks.
      Every now and then you’ll find someone incredibly gifted but has such a deep understanding and social skills they can explain it to the layman. Like Micheal Angelo batio for guitaror suprisingly Kobe for basketball.

    I dig these lessons; especially the 30 second ones. I've been starting off my practice with a few rudiments and then right into a 30 second lesson. If you're getting into a little bit of a rut; try some; they're really fun.

    I absolutely love and respect the way this guy plays and teaches. Just an excellent player and he probably has the best sounding snare on all of RUclips. I wish I knew what it was, please share! Keep up the great work.

    thanks for these, I especially need something along the lines of that flam kick flam kick... as I relearn the drums after 30 years I am trying to sync up my hands and feet, or unsync depending on how you look at it. I am constantly struggling with the reflex to swing my stick the same time as the kick even when it's not supposed to. Having this to work hands-feet-hands-feet-hands-feet and have it sounding good as well will really be helpful. Because as we all know, if it's not fun or enjoyable it is not likely to be something I will stick with or get better at. I loved the drums and wanted to get back into it for decades but couldnt afford an e-kit and didn't want to disturb my neighbors with an acoustic. Only problem is, e-kits don't do ghost notes very well, every hit sounds the same volume, but it is a start. Like having a $600 practice pad that plugs into my headphones.

    • @ThatSwedishDrummer
      @ThatSwedishDrummer  2 года назад

      Yeah it can be difficult sometimes! Sadly, better e-kits cost a pretty penny, but I hope you’ll have fun with it and get some practicing done!
      All the best!👊🔥

    • @ThatSwedishDrummer
      @ThatSwedishDrummer  2 года назад +1

      Not sure what you mean by flipped the notes, but the drag (diddles) acts like a grace note before the first RIGHT-hit, so it's still RLRL RLR-, but with a drag before each accented hit ^_^

    hopefully this comment isn't too old for an answer, but if I play left handed are the "right, left, right left" reversed for me?
    for example on fill 1, would the accents only be played with the left hand?
    thanks!

    • @ThatSwedishDrummer
      @ThatSwedishDrummer  Год назад

      Exactly! And of course it depends on how you play, if you play a leftie-set up or if you play open-handed.
      But simply but - all the breakdowns I do, lefty-drummers can just reverse :)
