I had put them aside to dedicate myself to the more "normal" classic modeling. But now I've found my old SUPPLICERS (that's what they're called in Italy) and the death guard and I've started again. I've noticed that there's a lot of difference between mine and those that exist now. first of all the height (I haven't followed 40k for years) but it doesn't matter because I don't play, I only paint and what I like, FOR THE EMPEROR or DEATH TO THE FALSE EMPEROR.😉
I built my first ever Miniature today😱 It's an Ultramarine of the Infernus troop. I love it!!!! Update: nine months later I'm still into 40k and have now got tyranids, Space marines, Kriegsmen and Orks. Orks are my favourites, hell I even prefer them over my Cataphractii terminator squad. WAAAAAAAGH
One of my marines recently melted under heat. It was in a glass case in my 3rd bedroom in a diorama. When we redid the blinds, we accidentally let the sun hit the display for a half hour or so. In the U.S. mid-west, that is a problem. Thankfully, only one of my marines melted, and it didn't melt catastrophically. I used it as an opportunity to rebuild. I boiled water and re-bent the weapons back. I then magnetized the marine, but added a flare. His torso had bent so that the armor had gaps. Instead of filling, I left the gaps and hollowed the base. I'm currently hollowing the backpack to take the battery for a small LED circuit. The tests already look good, I just need to hide the wires much better. I highly encourage everyone to try something different. Make lemonade from lemons.
One of my friends accidentally broke off Angron’s wing, so instead of reusing the same wing I whittled up some bones that fit the size with some old sprue, and made a torn up new wing with the sprue bones and green stuff. Makes my Angron so much more unique wherever I go.
Remember you can move the brush but you also can move the mini around. Then you make a brace with other fingers on the hand that holds the brush, to the hand that holds the mini- like a tripod for a camera or a rifle, for stability.
It doesn’t look bad, but you may just want even up those coats a bit more, you can still kinda see where it wasn’t fully evened out underneath the streaking grime

Hell yeah I did but eventually I did get a result I was Really really proud of. I absolutely love painting these miniatures and I hope I can do some grimdark Tyranids or Orks. Absolutely love this tutorial much love to you 🤘

Literally just heard this too, I know calling alcohol "spirits" is a UK thing but I thought it was just for drinking, but it looks to me like he used rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover
You NEED to use something like ‘storm shield’ or a matt varnish. Let it dry, then mix white spirits with black/brown oil paint. Let it sit for a few hours… and then rub with the cotton dipped in white spirits. Very easy and forgiving process
Nobody ever seems to mention this but, if youre going to cover your marines in an enamel wash, make sure you lay down a gloss varnish first. Painting a model is a lengthy process. Painting it twice is needless.
Love this! Im wondering what is the stuff you soak him in and what is the stuff you use to clean it off? Im very new to this hobby and Love the look that it gives! :)
My big brother would love to do this tutorial from you! 😂 By the way, I love how the original and more lightly colored space marine looks like one out of Dawn of War, while the newest one you painted in a grim, dark style looked like a space marine out of the recent 40k game, Space Marine 2! 😂😊💙
I hear multiple thin coats are better than one thick coat. Airbrushes are best for that, but thinning to a milk consistency is enough for brushing. And use a respirator when airbrushing enamel.
(Not sure if you will see this), can you tell me all the paintbrushes and equipment you use to get such lovely streaks and smooth surfaces. I just got into it and i run chaos space marines and would like to get better at painting them
Welcome to the hobby! You'll be able to see it better in my longer videos my previous two are quite good for that as they're more focused on Painting When it comes to equipment, most brushes are fine, as you can buy some cheap ones on Amazon with a good review if you're starting out. To paint smoothly, you'll want to thin your paint with some water on your palette. A good way to see if it's thinned is to paint a tiny bit on your nail and if you can still see through the paint it is thin enough On average, it will take 2-3 thin coats for your base coat to be finished, depending on the primed colour behind it. If it's black, it will take more coats than a white background.
I know this question is off topic of the video but I was wondering if there’s an easier someone could suggest for cleaning off old paint from old models? I don’t got the money for any fancy equipment but I’ve been doing hot water and soap as it’s what my older brother suggested as he got me into it 40k but it’s a slow progress as it’s not really loosening up any paint, I thought of alcohol like isopropyl or even drinking liquor but scared to try that and google doesn’t help as it’s just telling me to get some liquid and what not……would appreciate the help on suggestions thanks in advance and don’t mind the long paragraph 🤣

Don’t mix any rhinox into the gold or silvers Your reds are the only paint that doesn’t need to be turned into an earth-tone… because Red is one already.
