- This was a park day with little to NO plans! The only thing I wanted to do was get a Mickey gingerbread cookie for the holidays but beyond that we were letting our 5 year old take the reigns. Typically I like to have control over situations...especially at Disney. But its usually days like these when I let go that we have the most fun. I try not to have expectations because when something doesn't go to plan it will feel devastating. We weren't sure if Story would want to ride Slinky Dog Dash or not. The last time she rode it she was 3 and while she didn't cry she didn't seem to enjoy it either. For that matter, she never wanted to get back on it...until today! She surprised us with her bravery and got on! After a couple year hiatus, she was back and she LOVED it this time! 5 was the magic age for her. But, as we found out, it wasn't enough for her to love Rise of the Resistance over on Galaxys Edge. She wanted to ride it but once we got off she let us know that the bad guys scared her. So...take that with a grain of salt when considering if your little one will like these rides. All kids are different and like different things. But going into it without expectations will save you from being disappointed in the end. At the end of the day we had fun! On the way out we talk a little bit about transportation options when navigating from park to park and from resort to resort. So at any park, you can get a bus to get back to sog? Or you have to go to TTC to get back sog?
Each park is a little different. SOG has their own bus schedules and routes that are separate from the Disney bus system.
From Magic Kingdom, you will take the monorail or ferry boat back over to the TTC. From there you can board the SOG bus at bus stop C10 to go back to the resort.
From Epcot, you will take the monorail back to the TTC. From there, again, board the SOG bus from C10 bus stop to go back to the resort.
From Animal Kingdom, you can board the SOG bus at their bus stop in the parking lot and it will take you back directly to SOG. Make sure to follow the bus schedule for pick up times.
From Hollywood Studios, you can board the SOG bus at their bus stop next to the Disney buses. That one also takes you back to SOG. Make sure to follow the bus schedule for pick up times.
There are several other routes you COULD take if you didn't want to take these. Each park has Disney bus stops. You have the option to take one of those back to a different theme park if you want to park hop. You could also take those buses to go visit other Disney resorts. As long as you make your way back to the TTC, via bus or monorail, you will always have the SOG bus to take you back to the SOG resort. But like I mentioned above, make sure you have a copy or a screen shot of the bus schedule for the day so that you don't find yourself waiting too long for the next one on the route.
