The idea that they would close Muppets and Star Tours (two good capacity attractions) with a rollercoaster (less capacity) is crazy. I really hope they build this in the animation courtyard or somewhere where they don't have to remove rides or high capacity shows.
Moana doesn’t fit from big thunder, and they are planning a Moana attraction in adventure land, too bad the Florida weather conditions will prevent the cars ride from properly working

All sounds good but I hope they really don’t get rid of rivers of America and the boat, it’s iconic, they could of course do what they did in Disneyland for galaxies edge and shorten it. Loosing the island and the boat would also remove rides, not add them thus loosing some capacity.

I watched the video upon waking up this morning! Thank you Jack for being a dependable and professional Disney news source. Most excited for the Walt animatronic and Villains land! Least excited for stark flight, it is hard to picture as an outdoor ride. The ride system works for Forbidden Journey because you dont see how the ride vehicle works as you fly through the indoor sets.
Monstropolis coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios is like the Monsters letting humans visit their world since Boo's interference and the evidence of laughter being more powerful than screaming. Relates to Monsters at Work and I would persist for Pixar to make Monsters: Birthright.
I absolutely can not wait for the monsters inc door coaster as it’s the only project we know of that is actually starting construction early 2025 so I can’t wait to ride it in late 2026 or early 2027
Un Poco Loco from Coco was included in Mickey's Philharmagic show in the Magic Kingdom behind Cinderella Castle as Donald tried to salvage an orchestra detail. If Coco got a sequel, it will show Miguel witnessing a Cinco de Mayo fiesta planning and his cousin Rosa's quinceanera on a tight schedule before going on a world tour with a mariachi band and a girl his age, leading the band and on the way, stopping and destroying the elusive Chupacabra.

I will wait and see and get excited after it takes 5 yrs to build a scaled back version of whatever they promised. I am so sick of construction walls. Why aren't they just making another park? universal has the right idea
Thank you, Jack for the great update. You are very concise and it was better than having to sit through the entire video. As a Californian, I’m excited about the Walt Disney animatronic, and the new expansions to California adventure. I really hope the two new attractions bring life to avengers campus. I have mixed feelings about the Mandalorian skin on smugglers run. Galaxies edge needs a lot more than that! I’m also excited about the new attractions at Magic Kingdom and Disney World. We were thinking about going out to Florida to see epic universe in 2026, but now we’ll just wait a couple more years until everything is finished at Disney World. I think the villains land is something to look forward to, but we shall see. I’m wondering if they did this in response to epic universes monsters land.
Villains kingdom, they must do that. I’ve wanted to see a villains land for years. As somebody who used to work at the magic kingdom, that would be fabulous. If something has to go by the wayside if it cost too much money, the car is attraction in the magic kingdom it just doesn’t go
This is enough stuff that I'll be impressed if even half of it actually happens. At this point, I don't think anyone could be blamed for being skeptical. I remember when the rumor about the Monsters, Inc. coaster was that it would be a re-theme of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. But that was always too high-thrill a ride for that to be a really good fit for a family property like Monsters, Inc. People are talking about replacing MuppetVision and Star Tours, but I'm wondering if the idea is really to gut Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and use the show building (in which case it'd be way up on Sunset Boulevard). I heard that they mentioned the Radiator Springs Racers-like ride having a somewhat higher thrill level with some kind of drop, which immediately reminded me of Journey to the Center of the Earth at Tokyo DisneySea (it uses the Radiator Springs/Test Track system but has a not-very-steep, ~50-foot dark drop at the end). I wouldn't expect it to be on that scale, though--Journey uses the gigantic Mount Prometheus structure.
I think this new Cars Land would best fit in Walt Disney Studios Paris, next to Cars Road Trip. There is a massive space they could use and it would perfectly continue the World of Pixar. I'd love that so much but what do I know...
Your videos get straight to the point and allow me to know what is coming without having to track down all these details myself. I appriciate your videos very much!
Great commentary. First time watching any of the DSNY Videos. The host had astute insights; I was especially impressed when he discussed potential downtimes of a proposed "Cars" outdoor track ride in Orlando Florida climate.
Villans land has no date of construction. Its just said they want to make it happen but its not confirmed whether its finally going to happen. Once they file permits and start building then it's happening
what happened to all the energy they were putting behind epcot ??? the bar announcement is equivalent to adding a new bench when you compare it to what the other parks are getting…
@@ducktails1695I’m not sure man, a lot of people resonate with Disney Villains, and I’d argue they resonate more than classic Universal Monsters. That’s not to say Dark Universe won’t be amazing, I’m truly excited for it, but people really enjoy their Disney Villains and I’m excited to see Disney take it on
Great video Jack. Been waiting for this all day. 👍😎 The cars ride feels a little jarring if it does get located near Big Thunder. It would be nice to get rid of the smelly Tomorrowland Speedway. Though how they would crowbar a Cars IP ride into Tomorrowland is another thing. I would scrap the cars ride and update the Tomorrowland Speedway into a fully electric car experience with realistic petrol engine sounds.
It's sad that I agree with you. I trust Disney only when they start building, and even then I have doubts if they will deliver it in the same way as announced. I still remember Epcot and everything they promised and everything they didn't do or changed. And yes, Covid was bad but why can't a problem like that not happen again to Disney? For example what if; Disney+ is getting too expensive, Elon tries to take over or the biggest shareholders say that the higher management should be replaced. Don't be surprised that if Disney suddenly gets in bad/worse weather they wouldn't cancel everything.
Yep exactly! Even before COVID they announce things, provide concept art and don't build what they promised. All these announcements do is get the Disney fanboys all excited thinking they actually got something when in fact we'll probably only get about 60-70% of what was announced due to "budget cuts".
My 2 top favorites are the Villain's Land and the Monster Inc.'s coaster. My 2 least favorites are the Cars ride and Zootopia attraction. I ask, Why Cars at WDW? There's already a big and beautiful Cars' Land at DCA with 2 rides. The Zootopia attraction at Animal Kingdom doesn't make sense. I agree with you, Jack, WDW just should have improved upon the Bugs Life attraction and not scrap it for Zootopia.
What WASNT mentioned at D23: no Epcot Spaceship Earth attraction refurbishment, no Epcot Wonders of Life shuttered pavilion information, no Epcot Journey into Imagination update, no Epcot World Showcase updates of any kind, no Disneyland Tomorrowland or People Mover mentions at all, no Star Tours update
Disney has to compete with a brand new park. I think if they would have announced nothing but refurbishment it would have been a disappointment. They need something new. And they announced a few of them. Now. Let’s see if they actually stick with it
I will say I am surprised that they aren’t putting out a new inside out attraction somewhere in Walt Disney World especially where they had the wonders of life pavilion just get it all out and make it inside out
I think with the construction lasting so long in EPCOT, they are going to give some much needed attention to other areas that need it and revisit EPCOT at a later date. I imagine they still want to do the Spaceship Earth refurbishment.
Most excited for villains land and actually think due to spending requirements most of them will go ahead but can see the villains and monstropolis taking a LONG time.
I feel like we’re seeing the end of cohesive theming at the non-castle Disney parks as they pivot to include more recognisable IP and struggle to shoehorn those into the overall theme of the parks. It feels like this was the ideas behind the renaming of Walt Disney Studios in Paris, I can totally imagine them renaming California Adventure at some point too, since nothing announced today (the expanding avengers campus, Avatar and Coco) has anything to do with California really. It’s also interesting that Indiana Jones and Encanto don’t really fit with Animal Kingdom and Monsters Inc getting a land at Hollywood studios (potentially replacing muppets) is also shifting away from the premise of those parks too.
Thankfully them switching to Tropical Americas instead of Moana/ Zootopia at least sticks to the theming of DAK better! It seems like some parts of that new land aren’t even based on IP, but rather the theme, which is a step in the right direction thematically!
@@josiahgoes9633 see I don’t mind zootopia for Animal Kingdom, it’s one of a handful of Disney properties that are literally all about animals. They could have just stuck to these IPs there like Lion King, Bugs Life, Jungle Book, Zootopia etc.
@@willmichael138 I don't mind it either, but originally they were going to change Dinosaur to Zootopia and add a Moana log flume directly across. I don't see how those could exist in the same land. That seemed like they were just adding in IP for the sake of adding it in. I'm just responding to what you said yourself about cohesive theming at non-castle parks. DAK seems to be maintaining cohesive theming. Can't say the same about the rest, especially DHS and DCA...
Time for all the Disney Park Parade floats to be hauled by Casey Junior. The characters on the floats can be animatronics or special effects programming details and the Disney Fairies line can include the Blue Fairy, Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, and Aurora's fairy aunts, Merriweather, Flora and Fauna.
I’m still a lot more excited for Epic Universe than any of this, and it’s because I’ll believe it when I see it. I don’t trust Disney anymore. A lot of this still seems unlikely.
Thanks Jack for great videos as always! Amazing stuff being announced, can't wait! Would have hoped for more attractions in Disneyland Paris, as it's a park with great potential! Would like to see an attraction with Kuzco, perhaps the "pull the lever Kronk" and then go down a roller coaster themed like the movie, could be a fun idea.
💖💖😁😁So many exciting things! Happy to hear about Dinosaurs changing to IJ! Indiana Jones at DL is my 100% fav ride for hours using single rider pass but Dinosaurs is kind of painful in comparisons, more jerky and not easy to ride for hours... hope they "fix" that. 🙏🙏
So how much of this $60 Billion ‘turbocharging’ is going towards those new cruise ships? Only thing that surprised me in the announcements was the Monsters Inc land. WDW needs MORE. Wonders of Life is still vacant. Spaceship Earth still needs its refurb. Imagination is still a mess. Still no Poppins in UK pavilion. No Stitch replacement. Hollywood Studios is most likely replacing attractions. Animal Kingdom will still only have NINE total rides after the Tropical Americas are finished. Here’s hoping destination D23 next year announces more for the flagship resort.
The Disney parks, as with any theme park will perpetually be in a state of needing more. The announcements made are spectacular and I too am excited to see if we get announcements for the things you mentioned in future D23's
If I ever start a new life in California, I will attend D23 every year. I will mostly be witnessing the premieres of movies of all sorts in Hollywood, Los Angeles and work at Pixar in Emeryville. I'll also try not to miss a lucky chance of attending Disneyland.
I don't want DIS to remove Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America to put in Cars! Rivers help sets the scene for the entire Frontierland. And if you haven't been, Tom Sawyer Island is like "getting away" while your in Disney Parks. It's a beautiful little island with lots to explore, or for a quiet place when you need a moment away from the crowds. And can you imagine, if they do put Cars here, being in the feel of the 1880's, or on the Haunted Mansion ride, and hearing car engines roaring over the hills?
Please keep It's Tough To Be A Bug and AK. It is unique and just needs some maintenance. If they must add a Cars attractions (I'm not a fan) put it at HS, not MK. Please keep Tom Sawyer's Island. Every park needs a quiet place for us to decompress.
@@-dtuyhnjhggvjjjn 1. The exact location of these new lands haven't been specified. 2. The concept art for Villain Land shows a body of water. The Rivers of America are the only body of water in/near Frontierland. If that body of water is repurposed, it would inpact/replace Tom Sawyer's Island. 3. I suspect the name Frontierland will remain but be redefined. 4. I'm excited to see MK expanded and adding new lands/attractions. I just don't want to loose the old ones in the process.

Dark thrones for the Evil Queen, the Queen of Hearts, Princes John and Hans, Scar and King Magnifico can be summoned, Kaa will look stuffed after a lucky giant meal and Hook might find his hand again.
Maleficent: Welcome to the Tragic Kingdom, the most magical crimes on Earth. Wa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
5:29 Also looks like Maleficent’s Castle/ Forbidden Mountain will also be there!
If Coco got a sequel, it will show Miguel witnessing a Cinco de Mayo fiesta planning and his cousin Rosa's quinceanera on a tight schedule before going on a world tour with a mariachi band and a girl his age, leading the band and on the way, stopping and destroying the elusive Chupacabra.
thanks so much for staying up late to make this re-cap for us
Thanks Jack for your great coverage and giving us the information. Keep up the good work. 👍
Monsters INC door ride sounds so exciting as does the Lion King land. I just hope it is more for the animated movie than the live action
I’m not as big as a Disney nerd as I used to be, but whenever D23 rolls around or I need more info on the latest announcement, I come to you! All that hard work paid off! You’re 17 on Trending!
9:45 Stark Flight looks like they are just reusing the old Epcot Innonventions Sum of All Thrills stationary attraction
I think it's smart
I miss innoventions and sum of all thrills they were both really fun
@@RetroFett New Avengers Campus Coming to Walt Disney World Resort Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Thrilled to hear about the villans land ❤
Thanks for staying up late Jack! I am most excited about Villains Land. I could live without the Stark Flight Kuka Arm attraction.
Excited for Villian's Land, just hope they don't get rid of Rivers of America or the Liberty Square Rverboat.
I think it will be an expansion just behind all of that.
I wouldn’t mind if the Monsters Inc roller coaster replaced Star Tours, although i’d prefer that it replaced Star Wars Launch Bay.
What a magnificent coverage and I didn’t finish the video yet! Great job.
I will wait and see and get excited after it takes 5 yrs to build a scaled back version of whatever they promised. I am so sick of construction walls. Why aren't they just making another park? universal has the right idea
Yay, I was waiting for this! Thank you for being amazing as always, Jack!
Jack, thanks for your hard work. You are the first video out that is not a live stream regarding d23 🎉
Still go to epic universe why would you wait for disney
@@vehanushvosganian9966 $$$ airfare and lodging are a lot for a family!
I'll be impressed if they can manage to build a new hot dog stand.
They need an attraction that shows how the amazing madrigals from encanto are super heroes
Randall Boggs didn't stay gone. He returned in Monsters at Work!
In What episode?
@@Tom_Morrow1994 i think it was the 2nd to last episode of season 2
Disney Villain's kingdom is the best, and they better get it right. Build an attraction where all of them are represented.
I think this new Cars Land would best fit in Walt Disney Studios Paris, next to Cars Road Trip. There is a massive space they could use and it would perfectly continue the World of Pixar. I'd love that so much but what do I know...
@@-dtuyhnjhggvjjjn Cars Road Trip est une attraction temporaire. Elle a même disparue du nouveau concept-art officiel des Walt Disney Studios.
Your videos get straight to the point and allow me to know what is coming without having to track down all these details myself. I appriciate your videos very much!
Thank you Jack your reviews and recaps are the best!
The Disney company should make more theme parks with Snow White castles and stuff
what happened to all the energy they were putting behind epcot ??? the bar announcement is equivalent to adding a new bench when you compare it to what the other parks are getting…
I wouldn’t mind the cars ride leaving. You said so yourself. Speaking cars alongside an old mine train?
When its built ill believe it!
Thanks for the announcement breakdown, Jack! So much to look forward to!
The frames of McQueen training with Cruz like Doc Hudson did with McQueen inspired me to create custom framed masterpieces for all over.
Jack, you’re a real one for staying up all night and creating and uploading this by this morning
I really hoped Animal Kingdom would have a Lion King dark ride
As Hollywood Studios fan #1, super excited on that monsters inc land hoping they don’t wait too long into 2025 until they start to build it
They knew they’d have to compete with Dark Universe
And will fail!
@@ducktails1695I’m not sure man, a lot of people resonate with Disney Villains, and I’d argue they resonate more than classic Universal Monsters. That’s not to say Dark Universe won’t be amazing, I’m truly excited for it, but people really enjoy their Disney Villains and I’m excited to see Disney take it on
@@ducktails1695Disney Villains are HUGE with people. That’s why NSS gets sold out almost every night. People love them.
@@ducktails1695 Fail? Magic Kingdom is already the most visited theme park in the world, it's literally not possible for it to be a failure.
@@ducktails1695 is a universal glazer
Great video Jack. Been waiting for this all day. 👍😎 The cars ride feels a little jarring if it does get located near Big Thunder. It would be nice to get rid of the smelly Tomorrowland Speedway. Though how they would crowbar a Cars IP ride into Tomorrowland is another thing. I would scrap the cars ride and update the Tomorrowland Speedway into a fully electric car experience with realistic petrol engine sounds.
I've been burned by Disney announcements so many times- I'll believe these things are coming when they go vertical.
Latest technology will empower Imagineering to create a Walt animatronic who smokes, just like the real Walt.
Yet still won’t let us smoke at the parks
That’d be a vibe
give it chatgpt and we're close to having an actual walt clone to run the company again (this is satire but see this comment in 50 years)

Thank you Jack! You are awesome and do great work!
All looks great, wish they were doing a Haunted Mansion restaurant.
Nice work! Great info as usual in such speedy time 🎉
What WASNT mentioned at D23: no Epcot Spaceship Earth attraction refurbishment, no Epcot Wonders of Life shuttered pavilion information, no Epcot Journey into Imagination update, no Epcot World Showcase updates of any kind, no Disneyland Tomorrowland or People Mover mentions at all, no Star Tours update
Disney has to compete with a brand new park. I think if they would have announced nothing but refurbishment it would have been a disappointment. They need something new. And they announced a few of them. Now. Let’s see if they actually stick with it
I will say I am surprised that they aren’t putting out a new inside out attraction somewhere in Walt Disney World especially where they had the wonders of life pavilion just get it all out and make it inside out
They are refurbishing Test Track in Epcot currently. Don’t chase past D23 projects as they are most likely shelved.
@@eddierodriguez7178 And you think what they announced is going to compete with a new theme park? hahahahaha!!!! Good one!
I think with the construction lasting so long in EPCOT, they are going to give some much needed attention to other areas that need it and revisit EPCOT at a later date. I imagine they still want to do the Spaceship Earth refurbishment.
Thanks for staying up late Jack. I was there and your coverage is better! 😂
VILLAINS LAND SHOULD HAVE THE BLACK CAULDRON RIDE AGAIN
Ya the renaming of DCA is quite inevitable. Probably saved for 2026.
Villains will be the coolest and most different thing for Disney to do.
Villain's World is going to be amazing!!!
If I ever start a new life in California, I will attend D23 every year. I will mostly be witnessing the premieres of movies of all sorts in Hollywood, Los Angeles and work at Pixar in Emeryville. I'll also try not to miss a lucky chance of attending Disneyland.
Thanks for the update!
umm Yes Villains kingdom is the best announcement that came out of this.
Cars ride is going at magic kingdom
@@G-MAN-f9u Yes. That is what Disney is planning. I wish they would have a different plan.
