I’ve been seeing a lot of complaints specifically how Indiana jones and encanto play into the idea of animals. And it’s so easy, Antonio’s gift is literally talking to animals. The storyline could be something like the animals have taken over the house and the family needs your help to get them in order. Additionally, Indiana jones is all about searching for something, why can’t it be an endangered species? I think that could work perfectly with the animal kingdom idea.
For Encanto, it could even just be a tour of Antonio's room. The ride queue takes us through the house, which would be cool to see, but then the ride could start by going through Antonio's door and having some adventure there
I thought Indiana Jones was about going to temples to find ancient religious/magical/alien-like inanimate objects? I don't see how they can work an endangered species angle into that, but I guess they can give it a shot.

One thing i find fascinating about the possibility of recreating the encanto house is the possibility of using projection mapping to being the house alive at night. If done correctly every night when the sun goes down without much announcement they can do a show that makes the house come to life. Using projection mapping to make it look like the tiles are moving, windows rattling and other cool effects that would entertain and delight guests
Lions are mighty carnivorous felines and the symbol of classic royalty. All three Lion King films have become a complete collection bundle and the first one is bonded with its photorealistic computer-animated adaptation.
I would LOVE to see a Lion King ride! My husband was watching this with me, and he thinks a set up similar to Flight of Passage would be cool! You’d follow Zazu around as he gives you a tour of the Pridelands, and you’d run into hyenas, a stampede, bugs being chased by Timon and Pumbaa, and so on! I love this idea so much that I had to share it!
All I want is for Hollywood studios to build an avengers campus. Hopefully they can resolve the contract they have with Universal by letting them keep the Simpsons ride.
I love the idea of a drone show in Animal Kingdom; especially since they are limited to what they can do in nighttime entertainment. Also, with test track, I was thinking that too with the track area being enclosed.
Indy fits because the park is shifting from “animals” to “adventure.” Wouldn’t surprise me if the name is eventually changed to “Disney’s Adventure Kingdom.”
Animal kingdom already had a water show and they have the infrastructure for it. The waterway near the nemo show even has seating built into the edges of the lagoon.
Ok so my problem with the new pandora expansion with the shanghai pirates vehicles is that navi river journey is right next door. This would mean that there would be two water rides right next to each other.
True, but Navi River Journey is basically a fancy It's a Small World, and the Shanghai ride has a little more action. I believe the Shanghai pirates has scenes that make you believe you're underwater. If they do more Avatar 2 theming and focus on the ocean, I could see it being different enough from River Journey to both still work in the same space, like how Pirates and Splash Mountain are next to each other but very different water rides.
Instead of mythical Creatures (as both Everest and Avatar cover that) I wonder if Indy will continue to involve Dinosaurs in some way? Having Dinosaurs in ancient temples is a relatively common trope (see Tomb Raider). The park needs something based on extinct animals to cover the "real, extinct and imaginary" cores.
The problem I have with the AK expansion is that the park is not about “animals” like Zootopia, but about “conservation.” This is why Pandora works, while Indiana Jones and Encanto most likely will not.
It would be cool if test track had both indoor and outdoor sections so it could run during the rain but also still let you go outside when the weather is nice. I think that would be cool assuming it wouldn’t take forever to switch tracks
I’m hoping to hear a lot of big news from D23 in August as the last couple of years have been nothing but blue sky ideas. I would love an official announcement of a nighttime parade coming back to Magic Kingdom and I would also love to hear about the expansion on Animal Kingdom specifically official announcements on E ticket rides in addition to a drone or nighttime show coming back. We need to make this an all day park again. I’m also looking forward to hearing about lightning lane and Genie changes. Those of us that have grown up with Disney parks really miss all of the old offerings and the Disney Magic that we had prior to Covid. I would love to see some of that come back with, eliminating Park reservations and opening up both water park simultaneously and having the parks stay open late like it did before.
I miss the Rivers of Light since the live action movie of The Jungle Book themed, before the regular Rivers of Light and before the pandemic. So, I vote for the drones for the legacy of the Rivers of Light.
The location and size of the Imagineering satellite office is interesting because a logical place for a fifth gate is across Western Way north of Animal Kingdom.
You were being quite generous with the 30 - 45 min average wait time for Dinosaur. That ride is a averaging mid/lower mid 20s for the last 4 years. I've personally never seen it over 30 min, but I never go on holidays. Indy will be a massive capacity boost for that ride. And yeah, Encanto would probably double to triple the demand vs a glorified county fair coaster and flat spinner.
I'd love for Disney to focus on NON IP attractions. If they were to come up with some original stories and/or characters that would be incredible. When was the last time Imagineering actually came up with something themselves instead of using an IP to build upon? Not a dig at them, I'd just love to see something original🙂
I've seen Coco floated as another idea for this area, but that movie doesn't take place in a tropical part of Mexico so I'd rather they keep it for beyond BTMRR.
I'm excited to the D23 in Brazil, in november. I'm a huge Disney fan and I hope they bring one of the ships of their Cruise Line... this is my dream!!! Have you heard anything about this version of D23 here?
13:52 To be honest that bus station is poorly designed and frustrating to navigate anyways. Its always the most annoying part of hopping into and out of AK.
If an attraction themed like The Lion King is coming to the Disney Parks; it's the 30th anniversary of the Disney Renaissance film released in 1994; my birthyear, it ought to have everything from the film along with everything from its sequel and side-story prequel.
With Indiana Jones going to Animal Kingdom the Indy corner of the Studios could change substantially. My guess, look for Zootopia going into the Studios.
@@UmmYeahOk that’s dead. Indy is going to Animal Kingdom 100%. Zootopia is going into the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom so if they want to build out a full Zootopia land like in Shanghai it will need to be in one of the other parks. The only one that makes sense is Hollywood Studios.
I feel like Zootopia definitely fits better in Studios purely for it's main setting being a city. Studios is more of a city/built up feel with more buildings and a city skyline wouldn't look out of place there. Definitely feel like Indy works better in Animal Kingdom with a lot of it set in temples in the middle of dense jungle which fits better with the greenery and nature in Animal Kingdom.
Kind if makes more sense that they woudl build a port in Long Beach or San Pedro where there are already cruise ship ports. It would allow them to do packages with cruise and theme park combos. Anaheim is not that far from San Diego and shuttles could easily be used to take cruise guests to the Disneyland Resort
There was no mention of needing the Imagineering/construction trailers at Animal Kingdom for the conversion of It's Tough to be a Bug to Zootopia in the Tree of Life.
I'd love to see the reptile exhibit over by Indiana Jones too, I think it is a great fit. I would like to see a Mary Poppins ride get done in EPCOT UK's Pavilion but not tea cups. She flies so something more related to that. If they want it for kids then something similar to Peter Pan with umbrellas instead of ships, would be great.
If Disney is going to build a Encanto ride please make a quality attraction similar to what we have seen in the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast ride in Tokyo Disneyland and the Mystic Manor ride in Hong Kong Disneyland. We all have seen what Disney Imagineering can come up with dark rides when given a sizeable budget like Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle For the Sunken Treasure ride in Shanghai Disneyland. I would love to see Disney investing in doing decent trackless that would become "timeless" and not "dated" within 5 years; a dark ride with amazing animatronic characters and screens like Hong Kong Disneyland's Mystic Manor, Symbolica which is another excellent trackless non - Disney dark ride at Efteling theme park in the Netherlands and Tokyo Disneyland's Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast. How about for the Encanto ride you go through Casa Madrigal and explore the rooms of each family members, and you choose a button on one of the different magic doors and explore the worlds of Antonio, Isabela and Luisa.
Thanks for the DCL insight, Jack. I was wondering when they were announcing the Destiny as I expected that announcement at D23. D23 this year will certainly be interesting.
If the drones continue upgrading show fame and performances, the people dressed as the characters can be swapped with artificial intelligent animatronics; WALL-E, R2-D2, BB-8, Groot and Kevin already beat them there.
Maybe, Jack, you could dress as Mickey for the Expo and Halloween. I won't be any Disney character when I work in the parks. I'll be U.D.E., the Ultimate Disney Entertainer. I will make comedic acts, give facts, stage quizzes and offer a historical tour.
From what I understand, the layout for Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom and the layout for Indiana Jones at Disneyland are identical. The only thing that is different is the theming around it.
I feel like Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are the two theme parks that need these expansions the most. I was just at both parks a few days ago, did not get in the park right at the opening, and finished every single ride at around 6:00 pm with about 3 hours to spare. I would hope that at least both theme parks get two more E-Ticket Attractions before the end of the decade.
Agreed, and that would mean a nighttime show/spectacular for Animal Kingdom would make sense too if people are staying in the park for longer. I really loved Animal Kingdom at night when they had Rivers of Light on. The ambience of the whole park changes and is so magical at night.
3:38 They are retheming Dinoland into Indiana Jones land? This is the first I heard of this, but I was never really excited about Dinoland and always thought they should have made it an Indiana Jones land, as the Dino ride is a lesser version of the Indiana Jones Ride in Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea.

They are nowhere near as fantastic as the animated scene projections on the building material frames like the castle mostly.
WDW also needs a nighttime parade
Yes, please! And something new, not MEP again
I believe a new cruise terminal is more likely for Vancouver since Disney usually doesn’t register their ships in the US
Fantastic show today Jack. The future is looking bright. Excellent news and insights as always. What an exciting time to be a Waltineer!
Hey Jack, great video! I actually was walking right behind you at the Connections Eatery back in January. I started to say hi but you were with someone and I didn’t want to disturb you. I would recognize that voice anywhere! 😂 love what you do!
I AM LIKE SO UPSET STILL THAT THEY ARE REVAMPING MY #1 FAVORITE RIDE TEST TRACK!
It's an unusually large site for offices. A multi phase plan is very possible.
I always thought the idea of a B&M wing in the pandora expansion plot would be awesome.
First time seeing one of your videos i think, was very nice, thanks
Welcome! Hopefully I wasn’t too annoying 😂
@@DSNYNewscastyou were great, great spokesman for your channel.
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride trackless ride is the way to go!!!🐸👍🏽
Ok so my problem with the new pandora expansion with the shanghai pirates vehicles is that navi river journey is right next door.
To add to what the other commenter said, rivers also run into oceans so it would make sense in that way too.
Great video thanks jack! Like the new format too😊
I hope Disney reinstate their plans for the Mary poppins attract at Epcot
The problem I have with the AK expansion is that the park is not about “animals” like Zootopia, but about “conservation.” This is why Pandora works, while Indiana Jones and Encanto most likely will not.
Agreed
This is crazy. Closing an original ride like dinosaur for a copy of an attraction that exists in two parks.
For those that have never been to the other parks and/or not capable of going to the other parks then this would be new and original to them.
I’m not a Disney fanatic but I really love watching your videos they are always so fun and informative ❤️
I miss the Rivers of Light since the live action movie of The Jungle Book themed, before the regular Rivers of Light and before the pandemic. So, I vote for the drones for the legacy of the Rivers of Light.
I Head to California for D23 Expo in August 2024?!
Your video is so cool. I also went to Disney World two weeks ago and posted a video on RUclips. I'm happy to watch the video again.😊
I'd love for Disney to focus on NON IP attractions. If they were to come up with some original stories and/or characters that would be incredible. When was the last time Imagineering actually came up with something themselves instead of using an IP to build upon?
Not a dig at them, I'd just love to see something original🙂
Disney Word News you tube channel Love my favorite Disneyland one fan BIG 💖💖💖💖💖🎶🏰⭐️
I've seen Coco floated as another idea for this area, but that movie doesn't take place in a tropical part of Mexico so I'd rather they keep it for beyond BTMRR.
Long Beach, CA is also a good port
I'm excited to the D23 in Brazil, in november. I'm a huge Disney fan and I hope they bring one of the ships of their Cruise Line... this is my dream!!! Have you heard anything about this version of D23 here?
Thank God they are putting some semblance of World of Motion back.
great presentation!!!!!!!!!!
13:52 To be honest that bus station is poorly designed and frustrating to navigate anyways. Its always the most annoying part of hopping into and out of AK.
Tarzan world and the lion king
If an attraction themed like The Lion King is coming to the Disney Parks; it's the 30th anniversary of the Disney Renaissance film released in 1994; my birthyear, it ought to have everything from the film along with everything from its sequel and side-story prequel.
SO MANY RUMORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With Indiana Jones going to Animal Kingdom the Indy corner of the Studios could change substantially. My guess, look for Zootopia going into the Studios.
Wouldn’t it make more sense for Zootopia to be at Animal Kingdom, and Indiana Jones to be at MGM/DHS?
In my opinion, I would rather have Indiana Jones be in Hollywood studios, and a Zootopia world in Animal Kingdom.
I like the idea of a drone show at disney. That would be awesome. Also awesome to see ideas and possible expansion to Hollywood Studios.
There was no mention of needing the Imagineering/construction trailers at Animal Kingdom for the conversion of It's Tough to be a Bug to Zootopia in the Tree of Life.
Thanks pal
I’m sailing on the Disney Wonder in Mexico watching this video before going to bed. Really hope you’re correct about expanding DCL on the West Coast!
There should be a Disney princess museum that shows us the stories and myths the movies are based on
If Disney is going to build a Encanto ride please make a quality attraction similar to what we have seen in the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast ride in Tokyo Disneyland and the Mystic Manor ride in Hong Kong Disneyland.
I think they desperately need another rollercoaster at Animal Kingdom.
Could the Encanto attraction utilize that holo tile floor that was demonstrated in the Lanny Smoot video last month?
The new floor system that moves you without walking could also be used for Encanto
Thanks for the DCL insight, Jack. I was wondering when they were announcing the Destiny as I expected that announcement at D23. D23 this year will certainly be interesting.
Maybe they can also fix Imagination
If the drones continue upgrading show fame and performances, the people dressed as the characters can be swapped with artificial intelligent animatronics; WALL-E, R2-D2, BB-8, Groot and Kevin already beat them there.
Great job!
See, looking at your map there's the ''river' right there that with one water bridge, could connect to AKL.
I’m super excited for the future of Animal Kingdom, not even joking I would love to see KiteTails return, I thought it was such a fun wacky show.
Emcamto is going to be a omnimover
I'd like to see the Encanto attraction be of the same ride system and look and feel of Mystic Manor.
Great show Jack.
Great video!
