It could even include a monorail station inside the land. It doesn’t make sense to transition from an urban setting to Pandora.
It would also be a good idea to keep Avatar exclusive to WDW, and Zootopia then exclusive to DL. Themes exclusive to each US park make them more special, and give fans more reason to visit both!
I expect Lion King to be announced for Paris but NOT Animal Kingdom. The announcement would be more meaningful as a Paris exclusive, and it should be coming first. If it’s immediately shown as a clone, it sullies the announcement a bit, and many European travelers would just go to WDW instead. LK should be announced for AK once Tropical Americas nears completion. That way, all eyes are on Paris for a bit- and that park needs it more.
Well, whatever Disney do with Disneyland Paris is something special especially with the expansion of “Walt Disney Studios Park” soon to be renamed to “Disney Adventure World” especially with a Universal Studios Great Britain theme park might happen in the future. Plus if they do bring Space Mountain to its original “From the Earth to the Moon” and add the society of explorers I’m imagining they might add a new member of the society who was inspired by the original novel by Jules Vern himself and designed the Space Mountain. Of course that’s only my idea so who knows what will happen in Disneyland Paris until we find out.
The BIGGEST thing I've been waiting for is an announcement of a update/revamp of the Journey Into Imagination With Figment attraction. I've been wanting Disney to redo that ride by turning it back to the ORIGINAL Journey Into Imagination ride. It'll be such a great move for Disney, and a dream come true for many people.
I really hope we get a Lion King attraction at Disney World! I can't believe that The Lion King was once the biggest animated film of all time and it's the most successful Broadway musical of all time, and we've only ever gotten shows for it. Simba deserves his own attraction!
Describe said attraction. I think a show is the best way to have Lion King in the parks. I think a “book report” dark ride would not do this movie justice.
Would like to see World Showcase add more countries. Also wish that the original rides for the Germany pavillion and the Japan pavillion finally get built.
True for 2019 D23, but typically in the past, they’ve built most stuff they announce. The only thing that wasn’t built from D23 2017 was the Main Street theater.
@@DSNYNewscast Let’s hope that continues to be true, especially with their stated financial commitment… The goals of 2019’s D23 were ravaged by the Pandemic, (Chapek being in charge certainly didn’t help matters, though Iger’s huge expenditure in buying 20th C Fox was also responsible)…. I’m trying to remain hopeful that the fizzled announcements of 2019 was an anomaly, not the start of a trend 🤞🏻
@@xavierminchello8431 Exactly my point… they overextended with the purchase of Fox, not knowing that a pandemic was about to shut down their parks (cash cows) around the world for various extended time frames. But they know that those Parks (especially WDW) are their biggest moneymaker, and that, as many are expressing dissatisfaction with the upkeep of existing and development of new attractions, Universal is about to blow them out of the water with a new Park opening, and the announcement of several other smaller Parks. They HAVE to know that they need to make some big announcements on *concrete* projects, even if you’re just looking at it from a financial pov. (Oh, and DCL… forgot about that. DCL is their other big moneymaker).
Walt Disney was smart enough to not tie any of the original lands of his first theme park, Disneyland, to any movie in particular. The rides were related to some movies, but not the lands. It’s a safer way not to became outdated fast.
I even wish for these three movies I thought up: The House of Mouse Recaption, The Club Penguin Movie and Kim Possible: Mission Complete to be announced at D23. Same for Disney Storyline Studios to replace the defunct Disneytoon Studios.
My big wish is for some kind of expansion for Galaxy's Edge. It's the five year anniversary so it'd be nice to see something new coming. More legacy characters, Droids and creatures roaming the land. And what they're gonna do with the Starcruiser
I have very low expectations for this D23. While Disney has continued to retheme existing rides on the cheap sides and pushing blue sky cellar ideas that they still haven’t delivered (IE E Ticket Marvel ride) , Universal has built almost an entire new park in 3-4 years. I would love to be proven wrong where they announce something along with when they are breaking ground on and not just empty promises.
I’m still sad about that whole avengers e ticket thing. I’m local to California adventure and went to the opening week of avengers campus because Disney hyped it up a lot. Only to be disappointed by how cheap and lame the avengers campus was. The biggest disappointment, kinda like you said, was them not building the avengers e ticket yet. They announced it all the way back in 2019 yet still haven’t built it yet. Also they cancelled the original version that involved the ambitious ride system (jetpack seats). The e ticket ride system is rumored to be something way less ambitious, basically an avengers re skin of the new Peter Pan ride that opened at Tokoyo Disneyland
I really look forward to your D23 Predictions video every few years as it reminds me we're getting close. It feels like just yesterday that we were watching ur last one... but let's hope there's less BlueSky & more concrete announcements this time around. Thanks for all u do!
Since they are doing a new Indiana Jones, sould be great if they use it also for Disneyland paris main park as it was planned back at the start. It would make sense production wise to make everything double.
I think we are going to be disappointed again this year at D23. Disney will be talking about the same things they've talked about for years now - let's bring Moana, Encanto, Zootopia, etc.. I want them to say something big is coming without revealing it. Make it a surprise, keep people guessing. I want them to think outside the box and give Theme Park fans something they didn't expect! Let's get the WOW factor back!
lemme tell you something....i'm not holding out hope that ANYTHING is gonna get built unless they show photos of an actual construction site at the presentation. i dont even find permit filing convincing.
Same I’m still waiting for them to start construction on that avengers e ticket ride they announced back in 2019 for us here at California adventure. It’s 2024 and still no construction has started (the ride was even talked about last year at d23). So hopefully this years d23 they’ll finally announce more about it especially a construction start date
Thanks, Jack! Following my first visit to EPCOT CENTER in March 1983, I wrote a letter to the president of WDW urging an attraction that would feature an audioanimatronic of Walt Disney. I hope it finally happens as you suggest.
Honestly, I fear letting myself have expectations. I am happy Inside Out 2 was a hit don't get me wrong, but I still don't dare to hope. Not to mention that after Deadpool and Wolverine as far as Disney goes I only care for upcoming animated series, specially Dragon Strikers.
I would love to see concept arts of original rides to build with the idea of Society of Explorers and Adventurers, and something really big about Villains 🥰
In three years, it's going to be the 100th birthday of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and the anniversary of the 1967 Walt Disney masterpiece, The Jungle Book. Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman who wrote its songs along with ones for Mary Poppins (1964), The Aristocats (1970) and Winnie the Pooh are gone.
Not only is this year the 30th anniversary of The Lion King (original 1994 animated film, one of the Disney Renaissance films, last of the trio of films to have computer animation within traditional animation and one of the films set in Africa) it even is the anniversary of these films: Million Dollar Arm, The Lion King 11/2, The Polar Express, Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, Planes: Fire and Rescue, Noah and Mr. Peabody and Sherman.
I want to be surprised with something that no one has predicted or heard rumors about. All of this has been talked about for months or years now, pulling a hat trick would be the coolest thing they could hope to do, otherwise they’re just confirming what we’ve already heard.
I agree about, INSIDE& OUT will be a great addition to EPOCT in the play Pavillion. Specially when DISNEY screwed up WORLD CELEBRATIONS And for HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS, DISNEY should bring back ALIEN ENCOUNTER based on the movie for the Animation building.
8:02 I really think Disney should consider re-themed Grand Fiesta Tour to Coco instead. Coco is really meant for Epcot’s Mexico pavilion over Magic Kingdom.
Would love a new land or two in world showcase. Maybe even do something with the old Rheine river boat ride in Germany or add the Mary Poppins attraction.
I wish for there to be special effects announced at that expo along with more character animatronics, a full-size Casey Junior hauling the parade floats, more holiday decorations of every sort planned for the parks, and new lands for each category of the parks one of them is inside of already.
Figment could be the newest creation idea rival of the title stepbrother characters of Disney's Phineas and Ferb, according to Journey Into Imagination. I despise rivalry because it could lead to a grappling fight for correction and skill status. Advice given for that; Buzz and Woody fought under the Davis car, Ash Ketchum and Lucario fought in cold water, Donald Duck and Pluto always chased and chucked Chip and Dale and Tom always chased and battled Jerry.
I’m hoping for a 3rd gate to be put in the Toy Story lot. Whether it’s a villains park or a reimagined Westcot. I feel like it will need to have more adult themed attractions to take marketshare from rival parks.
I really hope they don't squeeze an Avatar land into where Hollywood Land is, it would be too tight and difficult to transition from Buena Vista St. and to Avengers Campus. Avatar is a land you need to come upon after wandering along some trails with dense foliage, then have a big reveal, impressive vista. It needs room. It's not a land to get to from walking along a city street with curbs.
It would be great if they announced some new shows! Beauty and the Beast is in desperate need of a refresh and I'd love for them to replace the Frozen sing a long with the Frozen stage show they did in Disneyland!
I watched Inside Out 2. It's even greater than the first film, the world's second e-motion picture and it simulates growth of a human. Surprised to find it beat all the other films and also surpassed Ozzie and Drix, The Human Body and several other show episodes set inside the body.
The logo of Disney Cruise Line ought to go on the stack trio of the upcoming ship, the Disney Adventure. And a Disney Cruise Line flag ought to suit all the ships.
I recently saw a Disney Cruise Line ship egress Miami, Florida and to form the Disney Legend, all the ships ought to have all their parts, floors, technology and room details combined. All the characters on the black outsides can come together.
I want an expansion for DHS that’s actually behind the former animation building that can connect to the Sunset Boulevard section and put the DHS park in a full loop!
Thanks Jack, great summary. It’s going to be a very late one for you on the 10th, but I’m already looking forward to your post presentation summary video!
Looks like the Disney Destiny is a repeating reprise of Mickey's House of Villains and Disney's Villains' Revenge, only combined to recover a sacred coin. What if it had the Villain Kids and Hero Kids from the Descendants trilogy as well?
For a place that was always famous for making great use of every available space in a small footprint, there sure seems to be a lot of unused space in Tomorrowland and even the Avengers campus. It's nice to hear they are making use of that wasted backlot space over at California Adventure too.
I hope you're right about more Disney Cruises on the West Coast because as someone in Seattle, I would LOVE to see some Disney cruise ships coming through.
Avatar needs to stay in Animal Kingdom. I can’t see it fitting anywhere else but that and full steam ahead on a Lion King land in DAK and Zootopia anywhere but EPCOT in WDW, is what I’d like to see. Also, Villains Land!
I like the health-themed idea, but I saw that dome shaped building and immediately thought it would be really cool as Riley’s brain, it could be a roller coaster that goes through each one of the emotion islands (family, friendship, goofball, etc.).
The Disney Destiny could also be named after that whale shark who is the amnesic regal blue tang's childhood friend like the Disney Wish is for the film that accomplished the Walt Disney Company's 100th birthday along with Once Upon a Studio. The Disney Treasure might be named after both a Bruno Mars song and the chest full of gold, jewels and goblets. I hope there is a three-stacked Disney Cruise Line ship called the Disney Legend.
Disney desperately needs a response to Universal's Hagrid Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. It would be awesome if they built an Endor Speederbike Chase coaster at Disneyland Paris. 😊
Disneyland deserves a third or even a fourth park. Only because it’ll fluctuate the crowds and there will be more to see and experience. I think the push on Avatar & MCU is definitely NOT Disney enough. Make it magical again I say.
Great ideas about Wonders of Life pavilion. Overall, if Disney doesn't go hard and give specifics this D23... whew man, they'll get dusted by the fans. Disneyland has to put Avatar in the parking lot from Disneyland Forward.
I actually think some of the dead projects may make a come back. The one that comes to mind if the Main Street Theater. They already have it designed and it would be adding on to the Magic Kingdom. They could even call it Beyond Main Street, like Beyond Big Thunder and so on. Unlikely but I hope that project comes back on line.
Something I'm not seeing people talk about is Disneyland's 70th Anniversary in 2025. It's probably the big obvious thing for Disneyland to be discussed at D23. We'll probably be getting a new nighttime spectacular fireworks show (a new version of Disneyland Forever, perhaps?), details on a new parade (or a returning favorite?), new experiences and attractions that will be coming during the celebration for all the parks. If there was a time for big Disneyland plans to be announced, it would be at this D23 Expo right before the 70th Celebrations kick off.
The play pavilion concept pretty much went to that fortnite investment and also that "digital city of entertainment" idea, inside out in a revamped WOL pavilion would be great
Its insane to me that animal kingdom doesnt have any rides based off of the lion king, a movie about *An Animal Kingdom*

An “Emotional Rollercoaster” would be ideal for Inside Out. Fully indoor coaster similar to Gringotts where it’s part coaster and part dark ride.
That’s a clever play on words. Emotional roller coaster.
Gringots blows
Yeah, have it be like some coasters in Europe and the Middle East where the coasters goes around the pavilion dome and even have it go outside a little bit
I'm imagining a section of the ride that uses a LSM system to simulate the failed attempts by Bing Bong and Joy to make it out of the pit.

ITS A BUSINESS! ITS ALL BASED ON FUNDING BASED ON HOW THE BUSINESS IS GOING! WAKE UP!
I can’t believe DisneyWorld doesn’t have a ride based on The Jungle Book especially in Animal Kingdom.
Yeah! I loved Refiki's planet watch! I love the animals that God made for us!
Walt Disney was smart enough to not tie any of the original lands of his first theme park, Disneyland, to any movie in particular. The rides were related to some movies, but not the lands. It’s a safer way not to became outdated fast.
I agree. I don’t mind IP rides, but i’m not a huge fan of IP lands.
@17:05 dust off the Body Wars equipment and give us a Big Hero 6 ride
It was sadly stripped down for parts to maintain Star Tours. They’d have to build something new. And tbh that’s what I would prefer.
I predict that whatever Josh announces, the Wdwmagic forums will hate it.
No Luke or Leia because it’s not their rights! It’s George Lucas' rights for them!
Ir is rumored about Disneyland Paris getting an expansion for fantasyland 🎉🙈
I really look forward to your D23 Predictions video every few years as it reminds me we're getting close. It feels like just yesterday that we were watching ur last one... but let's hope there's less BlueSky & more concrete announcements this time around. Thanks for all u do!
Since they are doing a new Indiana Jones, sould be great if they use it also for Disneyland paris main park as it was planned back at the start. It would make sense production wise to make everything double.
100% agree!! I always was a little "disappointed" riding hat rollercoaster-only ride, without much theming, even in the queue, there..!
Space Mountain in Paris going back to its OG theme, please. ❤
Thanks for for uploading video, DSNY Newscast.
Stat Wars at DLP! YES PLEASE
I would love to see concept arts of original rides to build with the idea of Society of Explorers and Adventurers, and something really big about Villains 🥰
Park original characters are always popular! The pirates, the ghosts, figment, buzzy!
Yes, bring People Mover back to Disneyland!
And the avengers e ticket ride for California adventure. Also I wonder if Disney will bring back the rocket rods instead of the people mover
Expectations are set to low low low. I think we get announcements about new trash cans, walkways, and picnic areas.
Would love a openingsdate announced for Frozen in DLP!
I agree about, INSIDE& OUT will be a great addition to EPOCT in the play Pavillion. Specially when DISNEY screwed up WORLD CELEBRATIONS
And for HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS, DISNEY should bring back ALIEN ENCOUNTER based on the movie for the Animation building.
I do agree on both, actually!! Bring EDUTAINMENT back!
3 am! No way I'll be awake for that.
I guess it's more difficult for Jack to do predictions for the movie panel.
Mickey might become a photorealistic reality to celebrate his 100th birthday.
Thanks for the update and all the information that could possibly happen at D23👍
Man, I hope Anaheim gets Zootopia atleast. The Shanghai one is Awesome
I know this probably won't happen, but I'd love a new Soarin' Over California film with the original music rerecorded.
God I wish we could get west cot or the Disney sea park they originally planned for us in the 90s in Southern California
Imagine the Walt Disney animatronic hosts the Disney parks panel
I really hope they don't squeeze an Avatar land into where Hollywood Land is, it would be too tight and difficult to transition from Buena Vista St. and to Avengers Campus. Avatar is a land you need to come upon after wandering along some trails with dense foliage, then have a big reveal, impressive vista. It needs room. It's not a land to get to from walking along a city street with curbs.
Above all I just want them to finally start construction on that avengers e ticket ride that they have been promising us since 2019
Yes! It wouldn’t work in Hollywood Land
Agree
It would be great if they announced some new shows! Beauty and the Beast is in desperate need of a refresh and I'd love for them to replace the Frozen sing a long with the Frozen stage show they did in Disneyland!
my prediction is a lot of people will expect a tomorrowland update and then be very disappointed
😂 probably right haha
😂
People mover returning to tomorrowland would be incredibly. And hopefully fingers cross, returning of the carousel of progress.
These are my favorite videos on your channel!!
I watched Inside Out 2. It's even greater than the first film, the world's second e-motion picture and it simulates growth of a human. Surprised to find it beat all the other films and also surpassed Ozzie and Drix, The Human Body and several other show episodes set inside the body.
Jungle Book Boat ride just makes TOO much sense I guess. God, it would be so popular.
There will also be character flags sold and displayed everywhere. Same for more holiday cards with them stylized for all the holidays on them.
I think if we get Imagination and/or Dreamfinder, the rest of it will be gravy for me! But make no mistake, I am excited about the gravy too, lol.
For some “low hanging fruit”, how about an opening date for Frozen in Disney’s Adventure World?
Also opening date for Frozen in Paris
September 2025.
"Great Moment with Mr. Disney" 😂
Disney calls their new projects "blue sky", but given their ever-increasing unrealized promises, they should call it "pie in the sky"
THATS DISNEYS NAME FOR “PIE IN THE SKY” MAY OR MAY NOT HAPPEN.
@@xavierminchello8431 I thought "blue sky" referred to "starting clean, fresh ideas, anything's possible", not "maybe, maybe not"
I like the health-themed idea, but I saw that dome shaped building and immediately thought it would be really cool as Riley’s brain, it could be a roller coaster that goes through each one of the emotion islands (family, friendship, goofball, etc.).
Yes! Disney focuses too much on non Disney IP and I want to see some original attractions or original IP attractions
I think we'll also hear an opening date for Frozen at Disney Adventure World and more about the cruise ship the OLC has just announced
Coco in mexico pavillon Epcot
Nighttime drone show for Animal Kingdom would be cool
